Great place to escape the summer heat. Looks like a family pass for the summer would be the Best Buy if you are going to visit it a lot. Shade was hard to come by, so I would suggest getting there earlier in the day as we arrived in the early afternoon.

Very chill and laid back. Youre allowed to bring your own food and refreshments but they also offer hotdogs, nachos, and snacks for purchase. Many life guards on duty. Very attentive and determined to keep all the kids safe. Different areas for different age groups or comfort in water levels.

Whenever me and my friends go down we tend to have a nice time. I have lived in the area all my life and so I already know most of the rules. Most of the rules are too strict. Like not being able to jump off the side of the pool in the deep end pool. The only place you can jump off of is the diving board which usually has a long line. Also you cant bring goggles that cover your nose. Some of the staff is nice but some of them can be really rude and yell at you for accidentally splashing your friends when you come back up from being underwater. The pool does have some good features like the 2 slides. The slides are perfect if you want to race your friends and the lazy river is also fun to race your friends against. The snack bar is good too. Overall just be aware of the rules before going to the pool.

Nice place but way too strict rules!!! We couldnt even have a fun time with our young kids without having the lifeguards constantly getting after us. I have two children that can swim great with their life jackets on and another toddler that loves to sit and splash in the shallow water. I would sit by my toddler while the other two would swim around me (no further than 15 away) while I watched all 3. They would come tell me that my kids with the life jackets on had to be within arms reach of me. They were serious!! Arms reach, like 2 feet away! Not even possible. I spoke with the supervisor and she said that is the way it is. I hate to say it but we left early and wont be returning.

I had the worst visit here today. First I was told that I couldnt put up my umbrella even though last year we brought a canopy. But ok they have rules I understand. I didnt get into the pool until maybe the last hour before they closed and as I was swimming with my two boys I saw a blood clot floating in the water. I understand its hard to control something like women getting in the water on their period but as strict as they are with everything they should make it a rule that says women on their period are not allowed in the water for the health and safety of others.

Nice pool but they are so strict on what you can do. No jumping off the side into the water? Lazy River is too hot. Dressing area smells bad and the showers are confusing to use. No hot water.we went to the hermiston pool this past week and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was so friendly, the water in the pool was sparkling clean. Nobody blew a whistle at us once. Of course we did read the rules carefully and followef them. Thank you guys for a great experience.

So, the park is great. However they usually have sprinklers out for the concrete since its so hot. They only had one. Also, when I was showering another person came in with their child and changed their diaper. Feces was everywhere, I was absolutely disgusted. I went to the front desk and told the lady there what happened, she didnt understand at all. No clean up team showed up. Disgusting.

I came here with my brothers and cousin, and we were expecting to have a good time. However, it ended up being very upsetting. We got there at 11, because online, thats when it said they opened, but the girl at the front desk (rather rudely) told us that it was open to the public at 1:10. So we were off to a bad start. When we did go in, I knew it was going to be small, so I wasnt worried about that. We went on some waterslides, and the tiny lazy river. However, me and my brothers had never been there before, so obviously we didnt know the rules, both spoken and unspoken. My little brother was called out for jumping into the pool, so he stopped doing it after that. My older brother was called out for swimming against the current in the lazy river (even though it was close to empty), so he stopped. We werent there to cause trouble, so when we learned the rules, we listened to them. But then, they did something that seemed very unnecessary. My brothers were roughhousing in the pool, no one was around them, and they were playing. Then the manager goes over and basically says hes spoken to all the lifeguards, and knows theyve been breaking the rules, so if they step out of line one more time, hed kick them out. They had only broken a couple, because they werent aware those rules were there in the first place. Obviously, we were all really mad. I wouldnt recommend going here. Its the type of place where, when you hear a lifeguard blow there whistle, you cant help but wonder if youve done something wrong because theres so many rules.

I concur with the recent reviews. Its an ok water park but the rules are rigid and a few of the life guards are rude and almost hostile. I got in the lazy river in the wrong spot and the guard was extremely disrespectful to me in her tone and direction. Water wings are not allowed unless they are Coast Guard approved... whatever that means and I did not see that restriction on the website. Another guard told our 4 year old to take off his flotation wings and he got upset and was crying. Ive never had that happen in any other pool or water park. We had to ask if they had any approved flotation gear and fortunately they dont charge for borrowing it so we averted a disaster with our youngster. And no, you cant jump from the edge of the pool. What pool doesnt allow that? Seems with all the life guards and rules they want to make sure you dont have fun! Never have been at a pool or water park that has so many restrictions and the staff create an such unpleasant environment. Ill certainly be looking for other places to go.

They charge for EVERYONE. Even if you dont have legs or arms and just want to watch your grandkids play. $6 for you. Even if youre 2 months old and will be sitting in your Mothers arms for a few hours while youre brothers and sisters play. $4 for you. Thinking about taking a cute little floatation device for that baby to make it worth your $4 and expose her to some water fun? No can do. They dont allow any floatation devices except Coast Guard approved life vests which dont come in infant size. Come spend $20 for your family to sit around in an over crowded pool with a few slides and too many policies. This pool needs some serious competition.

We drove down to Hermiston to visit this place on the recommenation of friends who took their kids and said it was awesome. Well, when I hear the word awesome Im thinking of tubes 60ft in the air and lots of slides. There is really only one actual waterslide (very short - a few curves and plop, its over) and one chute/cannon slide. Both are fun but not spectacular. There is also an area with a diving board. The kids area looks fun for kids (and there is a tiny cannon slide for kids) but really all the adults have to look forward to is a fairly large 5ft deep swimming pool. Theres no wave pool, the lazy river is in the kids area and very small. This park also has a bit too many rules. I even heard one dad telling his kid, Sorry son, this park is run by the gestapo. Youre not allowed to do anything fun. That might have been a bit of an exaggeration, but it did seem there were a fair amount of rules. Lifeguards wouldnt even let people jump out into the water from the steps going down into the pool. Now, all that having been said, it was still quite fun and actually a nice little swimming center. The water was perfect and there is a nice grass area on an incline where you can put your towels to sunbathe. There are also tables all around with umbrella shades and you can bring in outside food to enjoy (we saw people bringing in pizzas and McDonalds)! There is also a concession stand. The park is very affordable too. For both my wife and I together it was just $10 bucks (its even cheaper if you have kids under 17 and I think families are less than $18 for the whole family). The staff was nice and the grounds were clean. If youve got nothing else to do in Hermiston and want to cool off for awhile, its worth checking out. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasnt terribly busy. We had a really nice time. :)Just dont expect an actual water park. It is appropriately named an aquatic center. We drove down from Kennewick and we knew it would be small. I guess we just didnt figure it would be as small as it was. Some of the pictures we saw online made it look more grand than it actually was.Three BIG stars because it was fun and is a very nice pool area and is very affordable (especially if you have a big family - their family rates are very good). Knocked off two stars because the park is so small, there are too many stupid rules and not enough real waterslides.
