Nice short hike

Love this place. It was a lot nicer five years ago when I first began coming but the homeless ruined one area of it with their camps and littering. Since then the city has chased them out, cut down trees, and made it so they cant set up camp in that area again so it ia slowly getting better. However, a lot of idiots still dump their trash here illegally by the car and truck load. The city does what it can to maintain the mess but the idiots keep doing it. Id recommend the far side, closer to Meyers for a more peaceful hike up and around the peaks. Several species of snakes inhabit the area to include rattlers, as well as tarantulas, and the occassional coyotes at night. So be sure to watch where you step and if you have to have music, id recommend low volume or no headphones so you can hear the warning from rattlers. You can get some very nice views from the differing peaks. Very nice place for a family hike/walk. Safe for children as well, just mind the younger ones running without looking where they are going.
