Alabama Youth Ballet (AYBCo)

Our daughter has been apart of AYBC for several years and loves it. She loves being able to perform in a real ballet and learn so many wonderful Nutcracker dances. Learning the more challenging roles has helped her dance tremendously. This is an amazing opportunity for any youth dancer who takes ballet (dancers can go to any school while also dancing at AYBC) and wants to experience being part of a real ballet, the work involved, the excitement, personal satisfaction and growth gained from it. Anyone from ages 5-18 can audition (usually in August), everyone gets a role in Nutcracker, the audition is to determine skill level so you can be placed appropriately. They ususlly start practice in Sept on Saturdays but as showtime gets closer may do a few Sunday practices if needed. Its a wonder ballet experience that Id suggest to all youth ballet dancers!
