We saw Hello Dolly! and this was our very first visit to the Douglas Morrison Theatre and definitely NOT the last. The seats are comfortable. The setting is intimate but well spaced. It is a small theatre so buy tickets EARLY as selection can get pretty slim for those matinee shows. Also, the parking lot is a good size but I dont think enough for all the seats they have. There is street parking. Again, I would recommend getting there 30 minutes or so prior to curtain to get parking and settled in your seats. There is no aisle between the rows - just rows that run the length of the Theatre so choose your seats accordingly. The womens bathroom has 4 stalls which also is not quite large enough to accommodate all female patrons during intermission. They serve wine and small snacks at concessions before the show & at intermission. They do not allow food inside the auditorium but you may have beverages as long as there is a lid on the cup. My kids liked the Theatre and the show and had a marvelous time. They are already planning to go back!
This is a great venue. Not a bad seat in the house. Watched Hello Dolly. They did a great job. Live put orchestra! Great costumes, singing, and choreography! And, a lot cheaper than SF.
I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent quality of the play and the great seating arrangement. All seats provide great viewing. Very reasonable with close parking.
Awesome venue, intimate and welcoming. Opening night of the 3 Musketeers was AMAZING! Season tickets are the best investment for local entertainment!
I love this small theater. I love watching their plays.
Great theater, very well done stage sets, acting is quite good. Unfortunately this time it was difficult to hear all the dialogue. Update: much better! Glad to report, they are back to their usual high standards of production. Very happy about this as we will continue to purchase season tickets as we have for the last few years!
Great little theater. Have seen several productions here. Lots of parking. Very clean. Comfortable seats. The staff is always helpful and easy to find of you have questions. The theater is located next to beautiful Japanese gardens.
Medium size theater, intimate. Great acoustic and lighting will come again.
Spacious and cozy..Great ambiance.
Fantastic venue for community theatre, almost the same price as seeing a movie. 10/10
A beautiful Japanese garden to stroll through and recharge your inner peace.
Its a nice small theater in a semi-circle where there is no bad seat and you are so close to the stage to see everything.
The theater hasnt a bad seat in it. The show was excellent. Enjoyed very much
Great theater. A hidden gem.
Wonderful community theater. Easy access parking, friendly staff and every seat has a close and clear view of the stage. The lightning and sound system was fantastic.
Very cozy and warm theater!
A nice theater in the city of Hayward great for watching any performance, affordable and friendly staff
Just seen Dracula and really enjoyed it.. The theater was nice staff was polite I highly recommend seeing a live event here.
Thats my local theater. Very professional staff. The piano is always tuned!
I have seen shows here. Ive been an actor in shows here. And Ive been an usher, ran a follow spot and worked on crew. Lots of history and memories. The theater has new seats and the restrooms have been renovated. This is a jewel that needs to be preserved and continued for many years to come. Free parking and lots of handicapped spots.
Went to rent a costume for a dance. Has all accessories from hats to shoes plus clothes for many eras. Colonial, 1920s,40s, etc. Seamstress available for alterations and advice.
It was a good theater. Make sure you get your seats in the b or a section, because this is a thrust theater
This is a great venue with a friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Sharis in Castro valley is a place where you can relax and enjoy a good meal and visit with friends.
Always a good experience.
This is a very comfortable and modern theater. Their stage Productions and musical Productions are very very good.
Never disappointed, always a good show with great acting and sound design.
Beautiful theater, comfortable, intimate.
Unexpected. Charming and very close to me.
Great plays! Great price.
Simply lovely.... a nice little theatre and very sweet professional people work there.
Prepare for an evening of wonderful music. The Morrison Theatrer is well designed and handicap friendly. The Chorus always delivers a evening of interesting music and Director Cancino adds flavor by giving the audience a short narrative about each of the selections.
A lovely setting with lots of parking. The theatre is big and beautiful.
Great theater space, and a good mix of the more traditional plays and musicals, and more modern shows.
Intimate theater experience, no bad seating and clean adequate facilities.
A very homey community theatre in the area, not exactly broadway but the seating and rooms are nice.
Easy parking. Good sight lines to the stage.
Nice little theater. Not a bad seat in the house.
It small theater for Hayward plays and benefits. Lots of parking. Its across from Senior Center next to the Japanese Gardens and behind the creek and Creekwood apartments on Center City Drive. There is a small bridge joining the propertys together. Lots of handicap parking at the Center and Theater.
