Came here for an opera concert once and I loved it!! The place is really nice and very well kept.

As a past performer and music major at the University of Southern Mississippi, I have played at Bennett Auditorium many times. The acoustics are good and the stage is well maintained and large enough for a full orchestra and wind ensemble. The dressing rooms could stand to be a bit larger. For audiences, they have added extra facilities, but still could use more room in those. There is plenty of seating. As for the seats themselves, they are cushioned, but could use replacements.

Upper and lower levels. No problems with sound. Could use more room in between seat rows.

The air wasnt working correctly...it was warm almost from the start of the show. Friends from the previous evenings performance said it was hot then also.

Very well maintained olden style auditorium

What a beautiful auditorium. I remember the first time I set foot in here, two years before I transferred to USM when I was on a field trip with my small ensemble group from my community college at the time. This would be great for a concert hall.

My daughter is attending USM and this Auditorium reminds both of us of history. Beautiful place

Looks nice in some parts but Ive been in better quality high school auditoriums than this. The floor of the stage is meeh and the seats are compact. As well as there not being as many seats as it seems in some ways. Decent overall though. Enough to get the job done.

I loved the building itself. It made me feel like I was back in the old days. Wasnt very easy to find mine first time being there, but it was worth it once I did.

FANTASTIC architecture and fine acoustics! Built in 1931 and one of the original buildings when the University of Southern Mississippi was know as State Teachers College.

It smells old and musty. Its dingy. It feels like fleas are biting your ankles when youre in there. Need I say more.
