I came from England about 25 years ago and just about lived in Ropers - we were always in there. Some of the fondest memories and best friends made there. Nothing but positive things to say

Fun karaoke. Fun people. Those who talk to you. And good music. Can have the occasional fight due to drunkenness.

I can honestly say this place does not make you feel welcomed and they make sure of it. The owner and some of the workers there especially the security guards are racist.. i wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone..

Ropers rockin country is the best bar in Mississippi yall have to try it out good prices good people and cheap drinks

They over drew my account by $150 and I only bought 3 drinks at $10.50 each and 2 shots at $4.00...The special was 2 for 1, and the bartender gave me one cup and told me it was the strength of 2, I drank 2 if them and didnt feel a thing..I dont think all the bartenders were properly informed in how to use their cash registers correctly, nor do I think they know all the specials that were going on.

Always have a good time at Ropers. They have something for everyone. Wednesday nights is Latin night. Weekends they play country and rock inside and top 40, dance and hip hop outside on the deck. Best bartenders around and the sweetest waitresses. Also has a free appetizer bar with pizza, wings, tacos, cheese, grapes, and nachos.

I ran out to my car and they charged me $15 to get back in after paying the already insane $15 cover the first time. Avoid this place.

Good variety of music, awesome atmosphere, outdoor enclosed bar as well as inside. Really roomy. Karaoke, dancing, etc.

Awesome place to have a few drinks and play billiards with friends. Outside and inside DJs with a good variety of music. A+

Ropers country theme isnt my normal cup of tea, but its given us tons of fun nights with friends. They have more country music indoors (as well as line dancing or whatever its called). They have more contemporary rap or pop outside. There are indoor and outdoor bars (obviously) and outdoor pool tables and the staff is reasonably attentive. Theres always a moderate charge for entry, but nothing stratospheric. Bring cash, as the ATMs rarely work.

Poor staff. I arrived early with my group of friends to have drinks and play pool. When I came back in from charging my phone I had to pay an entry fee just to see them and go back out. I will never visit here again due to the rude behavior of the staff at the entrance.

Came a while back, walked in and was like oh hell no didnt look like place for me. 2nd visit was a little different a younger crowd college kids Thursday night, i felt like the old creepy dude in the club, if you get my drift, if you just want to get out and listen to some music and dont mind the youngsters your good.

Place is awesome got to know the staff really well. Me and my friends went every weekend. Only issue was sometimes the dj can get weird with the music but doesnt stop the drunks from dancing lol.

Went there with some friends for their new happy hour. It sounded pretty good on the radio (which is their main advertisement as far as I can tell), from 6pm-9pm theyre supposed to be doing 2 for 1 on all drinks and beer as well as a free pizza and wing buffet. The buffet had more than just pizza and wings, but dont go there if youre a picky eater. Giving it away for free means they need to make it cheap. For the most part the food wasnt too bad, but it was better hot, so either get there at 6pm, or wait till they bring out a fresh pizza.So why did I rate them at two stars? Well, the staff were friendly, so I didnt knock them, and we already discussed the food. The problem lay within their staffs lack of knowledge about the new happy hour requirements. I order a beer on draft and ask about the special, despite numerous large sign everywhere stating all drinks and beer are 2 for 1. Well, either they dont do it for craft beer, or they didnt know what was going on. A little while later I order two mixed drinks, the waitress does warn me there is a price difference between the two of them and Ill be paying for the more expensive one with the 2 for 1, which makes sense. She comes back with the drinks but it turns out the 2 for 1 is two of the SAME drink. Good customer service would mean you bring two of each drink, which would have been awesome and shown that we were being cared for. This is not the what happened. The whole happy hour was a trial and error with the staff to figure out the rules we needed to follow to be within the guidelines.Good news is, we figured it out. 2 for 1 of the same drink from 6pm to 9pm. Bad news is, since they didnt seem to brief their staff about this when the promotion started, it may change once or twice, so make sure you ask before you order anything. Frankly, it was too much trouble for us, and well stick with our other bar. Its a little quieter and has a better craft selection, so well just deal with the lack of a 2 for 1 special that doesnt change throughout the night.

I’m never going to Ropers again. I used to come here when I was in Hattiesburg visiting; but there is a video that went viral in the past week of a young black man being jumped by 5 white bouncers inside of Ropers. He had a busted face and head& everything.Nobody should go to Ropers ever!

The waitresses are left with the change, but you do not want to leave it all!If you plan to Ropers, do not forget to bring cash. Force you have to use the ATM to pay $ 3.25 each time you use it. This is very bad
