We didnt have a dog but judging by the amount of dog walkers coming through.. dogs love it! Great path for humans too
Beautiful park as a whole! I ran a race here this morning which included climbing their tall tower and snapped this fantastic overview of Pike Lake! The trails are challenging and very scenic! It does seem there are areas to rent as well for picnics and such, but my party was at the finish line so I dont know too much about those options!
Great place to bring your family. Big area for swimming, so many places to hike and they even added a pier for fishing that comes with pole holders carved into the pier! Been coming here since I was just a little kid.
The dog beach is adjacent to the people beach, as you need to follow the wheelchair accessible path from the parking lot to the dog beach. The dog beach is nice, but small. It is a great place to take your water loving dog, as the water is clean and the park is well kept. It gets busy on weekends and hot summer evenings, so be prepared to share the beach with other dogs and their families during peak times. You need to keep your dog on leash on the trail, but can let your dog run/fetch/swim freely at the beach. Im only giving this 4 stars due to the small size and lack of pet waste stations. I would love to see an expansion of the dog beach, and at least one pet waste station along the trail to the beach.
I didnt know it was a dog beach until Google told me just now... There were no dogs there, but its also pretty good for small-to-medium kids. There are a lot of stones and rocks and grass in the sand, but its still a nice place to visit.
This state park has an observation tower. The view is awesome.
Pike Lake has a nice spot for your dogs to swim. Its not a real big area but the waters endless. You do have to pay an entrance fee to use this Beach
Nice spot for dogs for dogs to swim. No beach but bottom is firm and sandy and remains shallow pretty far out.
What a beautiful park! And having a dedicated place for dogs to swim was great!
Nice state park! Beach. Woods, hiking trails...
Dog Beach is a big part of my life. It’s where I fell in love with the woman of my dreams. Is where I start my weekly run up to the tower. It’s a clean, well maintained, accessible beach where people can take their dogs swimming in a discreet and relaxing place. The views are amazing across pike lake, the hiking is world class, and the year round value of this park more than justifies the $25 annual park pass- just get it and get out and enjoy the great outdoors!
Great place to take your dog swimming and hiking
Plenty of parking, a nice, shaded spacious picnic area. Lake itself is dirty looking.
Great park with a excellent dog beach, love it here!
Only dog beach i know of in this area.
Beautiful WI park. Large picnic area with plenty of parking near beach, trails, kids play area and restrooms. Great camping areas in separate section of park. Several covered shelters with electric for a fee. Some picnic spots have large grills, some have smaller grills, some without grills. Plenty of picnic tables to move where you need them.
Fun and able to keep a safe distance from other visitors.
I attended a family Celebration of Life for my nephew who passed away after a long but courageous battle of cancer. We had used the ampatheater for part of his service people who knew him came to show their respects. They all contributed to a beautiful meal with appetizers, drinks, burgers, brats, potato salads, pasta salads, desserts, cheese cake and cookies. The invited were encouraged to go fishing or swim. At night we had a bonfire and a slide show of my nephew growing up and his own family he will be greatly missed. Also his family clothes pinned pictures of him on wooden pallets which they strung lights on. It was a very memorable event.
Its going to the dogs.. great place!!
Such a beautiful area
This is a nice little lake in Wisconsin. It was unexpected, yet nice, as we were driving up to Kettle Moraine and decided to stop here along the way. Good place for a picnic and to just hang out for an afternoon.
Its really pretty and calming! I officially crowned myself bird king because the seagulls are actually pretty friendly so that was fun
Great trails, beautiful scenery. I will be back.
This park has it all. Beach, picnic areas, trails and rugged Powder Hill complete with a tower and beautiful views! Home of the annual National Watermelon Day Runs! Love this place!!!
One of my favorites. Nice beach, nice easy easy to access picnic areas and trails, very shady, and only 45 minutes away from the city.
Ive been here in the past and it was clean and tidy. This visit was absolutely disgusting. Trash everywhere and not one park ranger to be found. I guess this is the new normal with our new governor stripping the help from the state parks.
Loved it great for family vacations. People are kind of racist but if you keep to yourself you should be good.
Small but nice.
Other than the outdoor faucets not working and being unable to rinse sand off before we left, I thought the facility was wonderful. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained, however, soap was not present.
It was very nice area n great for family gatherings
Fun spot at night. Romantic
My dog Hunter was snapping up Pike left and right from the lake. I guess you could say the lake was correctly named
The woods in this area are expansive and beautiful, plus its a great place for wildlife spotting! Saw many snakes and froggies !
Our dog loves swimming in the shallow entry depth
I went there thinking it was a dog park its not really a dog park most of the signs say no dogs
Very pretty area.
Stay away.Too crowded.
Not good for fishing
Nice lake
Dog beach could be bigger.
Clean, beautiful well marked trails.
Beautiful beach area.

Dog beach is WAY too small.
