What a great time. By appointment, so we had a private showing. Enjoyed it very much.
Mr Stan Maclin is a delight! Worthy of stopping in & visiting.
An amazing experience, recommended to anyone and everyone. I went as part of a family reunion, and all ages were drawn in. The building is small. There were 7 of us; it could hold about 12 people if they were well acquainted. Inside there is a well-curated collection of information, pictures, film, and objects to concisely tell the story of the black experience from Africa to the present in the U.S. Outside has been set up with several stations representering the underground railroad experience.Reverend Stan Maclin led us through the tour, and I have the feeling his story may be just about as fascinating as that of Harriet Tubman herself. He is a local educator, advocate, and organizer. I will be back again, and bring others.
