Latest update: Oh NO!!!! Regal in Harrisonburg is CLOSING for good. Heard lease is up. This is horrible for people like us that had their movie pass!!! There will be so much to see and nowhere to see it once things get more normal. Bummer...Regal is OPEN again, thank goodness! Boy, did we miss going to the movies when they were closed. They are doing everything right. Masks, social distancing, cleaning, etc. So, personally, I like that nobody is there, have had the whole movie to ourselves a few times (our own private screening, nice!) But don’t want them to close, either. So, go to the movies!!!!! Help keep them open. There are some good movies playing.UPDATE: They are closed, again. I hate to see this. Can’t wait until they open back up. Please support local movie theaters... Hope they reopen soon!

Good and big cinema,great sound,good screen quality. Restrooms need little improvements. No recliners,regular chairs in auditorium 8,not sure about other auditoriums. Chairs need better cleaning. Decent selection in food court,staff is nice. Good thing is that its not crowded.

As the main theater in town, this is a nice theater. Staff is always friendly and theaters are typically clean. It is no secret that this Regal needs a remodel. They are doing all of the things that newer regal theaters are doing - Regal Unlimited, reserving seats, etc. And typically on any weekend night it appears busy. I hope they get a well deserved and earned remodel soon.

I enjoyed the movie but I like this new trend old movies for $5 what a great idea.

Theatre is a bit dated, but still comfortable. Was surprised by general admission tickets, although fortunately was not an issue. Popcorn was a little stale, but still edible. Okay little theatre for what it is.

The movie theater is generally clean. However, the cost of the movie tickets can be more expensive than others, especially if you see a movie in 3D. Then the popcorn, drinks, and snacks cost a lot. Drinks can cost around $6 for a large, and $4 for a small box of candy. You also only get one refill on the large popcorn and drinks. If you go during the middle of the day on a weekday, you can sometimes see a movie where youre the only spectator, which is nice. The Regal unlimited is nice if you go to the movies two or more times per month, plus you can save 10% on concession. You need the mid-tier regal unlimited for this Regal theater. Overall, not bad. Only really busy during big movie premiers.

Staff was really friendly thats why they got two stars. The seats were torn and stained. Would not be my first choice in theaters. I would have given it one star because of the cleanliness of the theater.

Screen is great, Audio is great and their fairly priced. Staff is friendly and theaters were clean and comfortable. Only complaint is the seat choosing, I understand opening weekend has seat assignment so there are no splitting of parties, but when the theater is only half full, it makes getting a party together more difficult to plan. We could have moved around no problem so the picking seats was just a confusion.

Well managed cinema, no complaints with service. Theaters always very clean and well maintained.Never a long wait at the ticket booth or snack counter.Staff always friendly and helpful.I notice a lot of reviews complaining of high prices....its an issue industry wide and not local to this theater...dont want to overpay, then dont go to the movies.

A decent movie theater. The matinee things are from opening till 4, but few showing are offered during this time. Concession prices are normal for a movie theater. Theaters are clean and well heated/cooled. I would however recommend reading your ticket to make sure you get directed to the correct theater, I was sent to a horror movie instead of a comedy.

By far the cleanest, most awesome theater in the area 100%!! Nicest staff youll deal with! And the environment is awesome! sound and picture quality is absolutely A1 too! Highly recommend trying this place out! Its perfect for date or family night!(:

The staff is very nice, the place is really clean and comfortable but you need to do something ASAP to attract more public, today Oct 24, I and my husband went to see a movie and the projection room number 8 was 100% empty !!! I dont give them 5 stars for the price of popcorn and Coca Cola, its very expensive !!!

It was a great theatre but now seats have to be chosen in advance so its difficult to plan when meeting other groups there. Were all adults and shouldnt be assigned seats

The theater was great! We went and saw frozen 2, even for a packed auditorium it was comfortable and crowds werent bad.Unfortunately, popcorn and drinks are ridiculous!! I get charging extra for concessions, but over $6 for a drink and $6 for a popcorn is ludicrous!

I hated the assigned seating. I am not in 2nd grade, I do need not need to be told where to sit. I had more freedom when I was in high school than I did at a movie theater. I have really bad social anxiety and I have a lot of trouble sitting next to strangers. When I went to see my movie, I was surrounded by strangers and I could not enjoy the movie because I was on the verge on an anxiety attack the entire time. I see no benefit to assigned seating. As long as this is in effect, I will not be returning.

Always good service, clean theaters. Lots of parking, easy lines, almost always seats available. Even the smallest of the theaters have big enough screens and good sound.

Not as nice as some of the newer and newly renovated locations, but I have not had any poor experiences here. Might be getting a renovation sometime soon (its currently July 2019). Only lost a star because it is not as comfortable and pretty as the newer locations, but I would recommend this theatre.

Quite a large theater with plenty of showings happening. Staff has always been helpful and kind. Both the theaters, snack bar, and bathrooms have been pretty clean every time Ive been there. The showing rooms are pretty nice, with large screens and a good audio setup. There is a good selection of food and beverages, but they are at typical movie theater prices, so not very cheap by any means.

Ive got to say, Ive been in a fair number of theatres and this is one of the cleaner ones. Just saw the live action Aladdin there and enjoyed it a lot. The sound is loud but not overwhelming, and my workplace provides an opportunity to buy 9$ tickets, which make a movie date more reasonable. Generally, a theater is a theater so... I appreciate not stepping in popcorn or sticky patches of soda.

I would say this theater is good but not great. The theater tries its best and its generally well organized and clean, however the quality of the theaters themselves is below par for the average regal theater these days. This theater does offer the latest movies, however, which makes it a great upgrade over your home theater if youre in the area.

Typical Regal but an older one. Staff are friendly, movies are great, usually a pleasant experience. I hope they remodel soon to make the seats more comfortable, because this is the only theater within an hour drive. And sadly they never get the special promos here.

Really great service and loads of different snacks to eat and great quality of movies

Ive been going to the same theater for at least 15 years. Every time I go I have a great experience. I know its just going out for whatever the new blockbuster is, but what keeps me coming back is the friendly staff, comfortable atmosphere, and the rewards program that gives me free popcorn almost every time I go.

Its okay. Only theater in the area. clean bathrooms & clean theaters. no issues.

I always give a 5 star to Regal, but I was disappointed in watching 20 minutes of commercials instead of seeing some previews. It was different.

It is always clean and the staff is always friendly. The quality of the audio should be a little bit better (an upgrade?) and also the concessions are overpriced. I haven’t been in any other theater in the mainland so I don’t have any point of reference to compare this theater to, so a 4 stars rating sounds fair to me for what it is.

Went to see jumanji the other day had the worst movie experience of my life. This new pick your seat assigned seating is ridiculous. I suffer from severe social anxiety and because of seating was forced to sit surrounded by people and was constantly on edge when normally I would move to have more space. As long as this is a thing I will not be back.

It is nice and well taken care of. Nice polite staff and good sound. Nothing to complain about. Just a little well used but definitely well worth the money to go watch a movie.

It’s a good place just not modern!

The theater had an old musky smell but was over all nice. The concession is VERY pricey. The staff behind the concession couldve been more attentive as well. The guy had to ask us 3 times what our drinks were (there was 3 of us) because him and another staff member continued to talk as we tried placing our order. I still ended up with the wrong drink! Other than the lack of professionalism it was nice.

Went here recently and while watching a movie the room was cold and too windy, it is summer outside but nobody likes cold air. I generally dont come here though because I have had several issues of people being loud and disruptive in the theatre while the staff says theres not much they can do after I explain to them I dont want to leave the theatre screen to tell them of noise, etc. because I dont want to miss any of the movie. Alamo keeps track of disruptions and noise, etc. in their theatre and I feel Regal should as well or they might lose customers. I almost dont want to come back here again, but I guess I will if I have to. I used to come here growing up so much with my family and wish it would be the same quality as back then, it simply is not and its sad.

Wasnt too crowded. I have been here to watch various movies, most recently Downton Abbey. Always seems clean and professional. On weekends ticket lines can be long so plan ahead for that.

I’ll go with three over two because great movies are great movies no matter where you see them. But every time I have a question every employee’s answer seems to be “I don’t know”. I have had multiple instances where they couldn’t figure out how to get a gift card to work or they couldn’t access money that had been transferred to my account app. And then today, between showings when there was no one in the lobby, the phone rang an endless number of times before telling me there was no one to answer my call. May need to start going to the Zeus and see if I can better service.

We hate the new reserved seating policy and having to purchase tickets at the refreshment counter. The process is painfully slow and annoying. We will be trying a different area theater next time.

We love this theatre and how its maintained and managed. Always very clean with very comfortable seats. In 5 years of coming here, weve had just one bad experience, which was just the other night.The volume for our movie (Aquaman) had been set WAY too loud. After 1 hour, I was suffering with a bad headache and painful stiff neck from non-stop blasts of horrific noise. One could hear our movie from down the hall and also inside a ladies restroom! When I couldnt take it anymore, I complained to management. They agreed it was too loud and fixed it, but it was too late for my comfort.I could not enjoy the rest of the movie so I requested a refund. We received two complimentary tickets and an apology within a few minutes. Excellent customer service. I highly recommend this movie theatre!

Well...the last movie I saw in a theatre was Jason and the Argonauts...no, seriously. It was Shazam. it was a very nice experience! Three of us went and they used an app. I used old fashioned paper. It worked, too. It was clean and well kept and the associates were helpful and kind. Join their club if you frequent movies. Saves a dollar here and there

Up for graduation weekend, so first time at this theater but wow! Great staff, friendly efficient and professional! Comfortable seats, great picture and sound quality and comfortable temperature inside theater. Will definitely return when back in town.

The Cashiers need training. The girl could not do a simple coupon that regal put put without assistance. We ordered popcorn with butter....about a microgram of butter on the saltiest popcorn this side of the Dead Sea. I dont mind the cost if the quality is Good. this was not the case. Theater very clean.

I’m giving it a 3 because of the friendly staff. My family and I are here for a week to live like locals as we scout the area in heavy consideration of relocating to the area. Now I can’t speak for all... but theater 8 is in great need of a cleaning/overhaul! The seats are dirty and showing great wear. I pray management sees this and gets this to the powers that be. I will agree with another recent post though, that the restroom was well kept.

Don’t be on time unless you want to watch 25 mins of ads in a theater that is not that well maintained. I guess I am too spoiled with reclining chairs which this theater doesn’t have. Boo.

Increased matinee prices and you now choose your seat when purchasing tickets. It was very unnecessary addition. Also be prepared for 30!!!! Full minutes of commercials before the movie starts. Went to the 12:30 Frozen II and movie finally started at 1:02. So hard for a little kid to wait that long.

I dont know how in the hell this theater can be rated a 4.2 ... Its straight out of the 1990s ... Seating was AWFUL ... I realize theres nothing in the area similar updated ...but come on REGAL... I thought youre better than this ... No signage on theaters either ... I saw a lost middle aged lady looking for her husband because she couldnt remember what theater she was in ...

Good place to watch movies

We had to buy tickets at the concession counter instead of the ticket booth. The lines were very long because people who only wanted a ticket were mixed in with the people who were waiting on food. I waited at least ten minutes. I get it that you sell a LOT more popcorn and drinks this way but it makes a horrible experience for your customers.

Went and saw the new movie called captian marvel and it was really enjoyable. I liked the theater that my family and I were in and it made me feel right at home.

Really need to consider updating your theater. Seating is heavily worn. At the price for the movie and any snacks, you should be able to do so. Floors are sticky. Bathrooms were well kept but toilet rolls interfere with access to the seat.

This place needs a deep cleaning probably the worst theater Ive sat in unfortunately that i really felt the need to take a shower after watching a movie. the seats are beyound repair close and Remodel. the reason i have 3 stars is because the sound system wasnt too bad and its not the staff its just an old theater that needs serious updating inside. seating comfort Im giving * *

Expensive for a matinee timed movie. They dont allow you to get your own butter for popcorn and they gave two squirts when I asked for extra. Other than that it is just your average theater.

Overall solid Cinema! Very clean, friendly staff, fair pricing, comfortable seating. Its just like every other Regal youve been to.Note: not all seats are recliners, but you save some money on your ticket by not getting them. Definitely a fair trade-off.

The theater was very clean and the staff was very friendly. On a local level they did their part. On a national (corporate) level they have some work to do. 1 large drink and 1 small popcorn was almost $15.00, NOT including the tickets. How do they expect the average family to afford to go out to see a movie? Not to mention the below average income families. Just think they could do more and sell more if theyd have it to where more people could do so without getting a second mortgage to buy a ticket and some popcorn. Something to think about.

This may not be the most updated theater but still a great place to go see movies. The seats are comfortable and they have a nice snack menu even if the price is a little on the high side. I Recommend if you come here a lot to use to a Regal Rewards car to earn free snack and free movie tickets.

Tiny screen for a new release 3D blockbuster, especially at the price. Paid this much and enjoyed a screen at least twice the size. Seats are bit dirty, musty smell in the theater. For the price I expected a big screen experience.

Ehh, its a movie theater. Nothing special. Youll lose your life savings on popcorn.

Picture and sound quality was good. People were friendly and attentive. Place was clean. Theatre seats comfortable. Previews started on time hehe (FYI twenty minutes worth before movie started). No technical difficulties occurred. Nothing to complain about! But in all fairness, no trying situations arose and no concessions were purchased.

Theater was dirty and staff was rude. They cut the air on 1/2 way into the movie and kept saying it wasnt on. Will have to find another theater next time Im up here.
