A very huge park with a huge lake inside with enormous amount of spots for picnicking and boating. If you don’t have a boat no worries. Boats can be rented inside at genuine rates. There’s a visitor station where you could find employees and rangers in case of any questions. They are super friendly. Find an opportunity to talk to them.Grab your boat, grill, food and family and kids for picking here.
Visited during Thanksgiving. Beautiful park. We did La Ho trail around one of the lakes. Low difficulty trail. Went to a picnic area facing the lake-- near the Classroom building. It was a beautiful spot.Cooked on the grill on a nice, cool, windy, sunny day. COVID times the cold doesnt feel like cold.Bathrooms were closed.
Our first time camping here...definitely wont be the last. So many good sites to pick from with an abundance of trees to help screen for privacy. Our site had electric only. Water pump nearby. Very clean and heated bathrooms with 2 showers. So quiet!!
This park is always a pleasure to visit. It is well maintained, clean and orderly. PA DCNR does a great job here. And uts nice to see the sailboats out as well. Highly recommend. I cant wait until the campground has the full hookups installed.
Awesome time on the trail at the lake, for beginner to intermediate walkers/hikers. Along the trail we met a few runners and couples with pets that were super friendly. Stopped a few times to enjoy watching the sand pipers and the ibis stalking its prey. Read the tombstones at one of the interest points, will need to look up more info on somebody in the site dealing with the star spangled banner.
We rented a pontoon boat. Very affordable and great family fun!!! Also very big and roomy. We had 3 adults and 2 kids and had plenty of space. You could easily fit a large family very comfortably. I would highly recommend this place. It is huge with many spots to explore, clean and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Archery hunted. Didnt see any deer. Very scenic. Big lake. Great sunset.
For mountain biking, this park has great single track for beginners but absolutely zero signage. Its very easy to get lost and spend an extra 45 minutes finding your way out. Trailforks or similar is a must
Hands down the nicest Horse trails around. I drove over an hour to finally try them. I was amazed with how smooth and wide the trails are. Loved it. I highly recommend it.
Clean facilities. Well organized. Friendly people. Lots to do and see. It has specific areas for hunting, mountain biking, winter sports, horseback riding, and fishing. Also a few wildlife and scenic viewing points.
The lake is beautiful! We stayed in the timber doodle roughing it area and the sites are great! Spacious, private, and plenty of flat space for your tents. Bathrooms were clean and showers were very nice. Only negative was that there is no restroom close to the launch area at the end of the lane, so when you come in from on your boat/kayak it is a little ways until you can use the bathroom. The pool was closed this year so we did not get to check that out while we were there, but just relaxing by the fire and kayaking in the lake was great! Highly recommend this area of the park for camping if you dont mind roughing it some
Wonderful peaceful environment. Plan a day trip to explore all the surrounding spots.
Its a great park to take the family to. Great place to go walking and hiking. Lots to see and do!
It would be nice if campground hosts enforced the 10pm quiet rule. 4 AM and people pretty much talking a loop away and you could hear every word.
Nice horse riding location. The smallish parking lot filled up on this beautiful fall sunday. Bathrooms are a fairly long walk from here.
Always a great time. Easy trails, would just be great if beach pedestrians would clean up their trash. Lots of shade on hot days if you know where to find it.
Another great Pa State Park. Dont be afraid to visit. The campground is nice as well!
Im from California and while visiting my in-laws this past weekend, my husband finally had a chance to take me here. This was our fist time visit in the fall so I got to see Codorus in ALL of its beauty! We romped around in the leaves on Saturday and went for a walk on one of the trails in Sunday. Its a great place for families and absolutely GORGEOUS during the fall!
Clean sites. Electric 30amp hook up. No water or sewage at site. Use the dump area to empty tanks. Fresh water is also in the dump tank
Beautiful, clean, well maintained, plenty of parking available. Perfect family relax in nature with great panorama. Loved it.
Beautiful park with clean facilities. Good staff and rangers make you feel safe. No alcohol in the park is a blessing.
Very nice big State Park. Got lots to do including camping all ways. Reasonable to camp. Free to go threw the park
I enjoyed the weekend here! Definitely, not my favorite PA state park, but not bad! Its a drag that they dont have lake swimming and the pool is closed till 2021. The sites are nice and bathroom was clean.
Plan on spending the whole day there.lots to do.apple picking, incredible maize and activities for young kids.food available. Retail store has lots of goodies .will do it again next year.
Great place to kayak. Depending on weather conditions water can be choppy. This is a huge lake with 26 miles of shoreline. It can accommodate sailboats, pontoon boats and large motor boats which will cause wakes as well.
Beautiful views while playing the red disc golf course!
Took my black German shepherd and husky here. Extremely beautiful place to walk around and allow them to release their energy at! Enough incline for a good workout on the walk but not so much that you cant move the next day.... if youre looking for a good scenic walk for yourself, or just a good place to bring the fur babies then this is your spot. When it rains the day before it gets muddy in places that makes it impossible to go through without getting it on you, so just prepare for that. Other than that, go out and enjoy this beautiful park.
I love to sit at the Marina in the early morning and watch the sun rise. It is so peaceful here. I spent 2 hours here. I enjoy reading a book while taking in the beautiful scenery.
I really like Codorus state park. They have a great campground with nice sites and good clean bathrooms. They also have a great Marina and some very nice disc golf courses. I enjoy going there and watching the sunset, or just sitting and looking out over the water. Make sure you check it out with your family. 5 stars!
Amazing place for families! Boat rental was quick and easy, friendly staff, beautiful lake, good prices. Hop skip and jump from Baltimore, and a scenic drive with winedy, rolling roads all the way up Falls road
We rented a pontoon here, and had a lot of fun! Good for a family day trip
What a nice State Park. The campsites are very big!
Beautiful place. Disc golf course are pretty good with 3 different course to choose from. Fun for any level of player
Beautiful and well kept. The rangers there do a great job. That said my wife and I didnt do our research ahead of time and were expecting a weekend of swimming in the lake and having a few adult beverages on the water. There is No Alcohol and No swimming allowed.
This is one of the best parks in the area. There are so many different things to do and plenty of room to do it. Its also very well maintained.
This park is great for adults or children. Really beautiful in the fall with the c colors of the trees.
Blue course is a great challenge of par3 and 4s . Park is nice. Hole 1, I consider a little dangerous. Car traffic not very friendly to golfers near ob. Remember to breathe on hole 18.. she got me good
Beautiful lake. Nice swimming hole. Looks like fun boating. Theres a nesting pair of eagles close by. You see them occasionally. Very nice restful place!
Beautiful foliage and open spaces. Nice lake but water down due to drought.
Beautiful place! Lots to do. Dog friendly park. You can rent paddle boards up to pontoons. Great family place.
Nice park. If you love to kayak or boat this is the place for you. Also plenty of spots to fish from the shore.
Great outdoor place to visit. There are lots of trails and lots of different place to park.
This place is awesome. So many relaxing things to do here and the have a restroom that doesnt smell... you can go fishing but make sure you have your license. They have boat rental and even a pool that have a fee to enter. Play baseball or just out and enjoy. So have fun when you visit and be nice and respectful to each other.
Huge park. Great riding and hiking trails.Kayaking, canoeing and boat ramps. Something for everyone.
Brought the entire famiky and extended family. Rented a 16 person pontoon. More than enough space for 16 people. Staff was super nice and they had amazing accommodations even amid COVID-19
This park is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. Theres benches if you just want to sit and take in the beautiful scenery, an area where you can rent kayaks and pontoon boats, a swimming area and great fishing. Its a great time for the entire family.
Great park. Camping area is one of our favorites. Great tree coverage.
Wonderful place to ride, beautiful trails. Plus boating and hiking is the best
What an absolutely beautiful well-maintained park. Plenty of things to do for everyone. if youre looking for something to do to get outside this weekend this would definitely be a good trip to take.
Codorus State Park has plenty of room for outdoor activities. The restrooms are very clean and modern. The water level is presently fairly low at this time.
You can rent a boat at the marina for a couple of hours and the prices are reasonable. Disc frisbee golf a fun game is next to the marina.
Great place for a hike. Good for my 8 year old and I. Beautiful.
Gorgeous place to float on a kayak with my pup and enjoy the sunset.
It is so peaceful and beautiful there. When the lyric band would play it was really fun.
Set a beautiful Autumn day today!
Clean, quiet, big sites great tree canopy, situated close to Hanover, Pa for stores and such.
A great family friendly place to have some great camping, hikes, and water fun! The sites are clean and up to date with fire pit and a spot for tents. I enjoy it very much!
Awesome experience. Rangers drove through over night gave me a since of security! Thank you! The pool was extra but well worth it!
I had the best time ever! Everyone was super nice and very friendly! I cant wait to go again and have another wonderful time!
I am impressed by the size and things to do in this park. It is well cared for and very popular.
Well maintained, lovely setting, not too crowded for July 4. Many swimming in no Swimming areas
Had a great time. We always go here for hiking, fishing, and camping. Went for memorial day and though parts were crowded, we managed to find a good spot near the oarhouse that had a grill and was close to the bathroom. If you are looking for a good scenic time in nature I suggest this place!
It was a great time. Beautiful view very relaxing everyone enjoyed
Partially Closed, though was able to enjoy what I could access
Nice place to chill and disconnect. You have to go early to get this spot.
Great place! So much to do, easy parking, very empty during the day. Cant wait to go back again!
Beautiful camp sites. Nice hosts. Very clean.
Camped for four nights in this well-managed, clean, and mostly quiet campground. The state park is vast and has several recreation opportunities including mountain biking, canoeing/kayaking, and disc golf! The only negative was that we didnt realize there was no swimming in the lake, which was a big problem on a hot weekend in July .
Love this place! Kayaked for about 4 hours and the water was super clean. Great workout and plan on swimming next time I go out.
The cabin was very nice and clean. I will stay there again.
Park was fantastic. plenty of space and parking options. lots of fishing accessible spots. easy to get too.
The whole experience was the best I have ever had.
Gorgeous where we were. We went to the marina and found a nice shady spot to grill our streaks. We were right by a bathroom and the grill was semi clean but cleaning it wasnt hard and did not bother us. We considered renting a boat from the marina but opted to just enjoy the shade.
It was ok but the trails werent marked very wellMost people go there for the water which was very busy with boats and swimming
Nice size park. Only 2 real walking trails but you could always walk the equestrian trail.
Hiking, boat rentals, disc golf, campground... Nice place to spend a fun filled day
What an awesome experience it was! First time tent camping! Great park! Our site was couple feet from the water! Water was clear and warm (we went in July). It was breathtaking just to even look at. The tent sites were large with plenty of space and with enough privacy! The camp shop was small but had the needed essentials. People were very friendly and inviting. Everyone had a blast fishing, kayaking, boating, swimming and just having a good time. Definitely recommend this camp ground to anyone looking for a good experience. We will definitely be back! Thank you for such wonderful memories!
Nice park. No walking trails really but good place for relaxing day. Great lake for boating, canoeing, kayaking.
Great clean very friendly people and beautiful views
The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. The sky, water, trees, and wildlife offer peaceful surroundings. We just love going over to sit and look at all and find it wonderfully relaxing.
Very nice man-made sight in nature! I wish there was more wildlife to see though.
What a blast great time with family and friends. Plenty to do for all ages.
Super nice, quiet park. Plenty of room between groups. Nice view of the water and skies. Not too buggy. Lots of birds.
Beautiful and peaceful! Very clean park! There is lots to do from fishing to picnicking to boating! Great family place with beautiful scenery!
We rented one of the pontoon boats for a couple of hours. The rental process was smooth, the boat worked flawlessly, we had a very enjoyable couple of hours on a beautiful lake.
Codorus is a great place to spend the day! They have all kinds of stuff for the entire family to enjoy. You can swim, bike, kayak, canoe, hike, have a cookout. It’s the perfect place to come and enjoy a beautiful summer day.
Love this park. Many great sites. are favorites. Park is quiet, not roudy. We go there for R&R and bc its close by. Many others go there for water sports! Gigantic beautiful lake! Kept clean, with nice bathrooms. Been there many times!
Beautiful surroundings. Lots of trash on beaches and floating in the reservoir. Beaches and lake very, very crowded. Not a great place to enjoy the peace of nature.
Some of the best pan fishing in Southern PA.
Nice little state park. The tent sites seem level and on shale pads.
Spent a few days camping here and it was amazing. I will definitely be back soon
Loved this park!! So peaceful. We stayed in one of the cabins and we were so comfortable. It rained the entire weekend, but we still made the best of it. We cannot wait to visit again!!!
Really great park! Lots of trails, the lake is amazing. I love this State!!!!
Plenty of very nice and clean areas to just sit and picnic, or walk to the lake.
