Could be better. Great friendly staff ready to help. The tracks are ok and fun but the carts need better maintenance and be evened out.Slick track carts have layers of duck tape thats old and falling apart, new tape is cheap. Slick track carts clearly have a few that are much faster than others, they could easily spend some time to make them run the same speed.Slick 8 track was great but again some carts are faster than others. Different size carts run together so that made it interesting and also risky to not hit a slow little kid.Grand Prix track was great, fast and challenging and most carts about the same speed. I liked this the most.Would I go again with my sons, yes.Would I go with a group or birthday party for competitive racing, no.

This plays rocks! Arcade games, go carts and hotdogs what else can you ask for! Friend down to earth employees. This place never gets old!!! I forgot to mention the best part speedway 94 has an indoor slick track open rain or shine.

This place use to be good when I was younger. But it has gone downhill over the years. They have reduced the amount of race tracks that they have... and removed the childrens track, the boating track and the rock climbing wall. I guess over the years business has slumped off so they reduced their offerings. The price is a little high for what they now provide... but you can still have a great time. I wouldnt trust to eat anything here... but who comes to a go-cart race track to eat.

Good place with good customer service. Track guys are real nice and so is the people at the counter. Place didnt have rock climbing or anything anymore though just the karts but theyre plenty to keep everyone occupied, Grand Prix is my favorite track.

Lots of things to do, smells like gasoline though. They have bathrooms and parking. Staff was helpful enough. We paid for the rides and didnt get refunded because it was raining.

Used to come here at least once a month as a kid. 10 years later I went with my father for fathers day and was nothing but heartbroken. The condition of the facility is overgrown, trashed, and very unorganized. Big crowd with only 3 karts working on each track not to mention the figure 8 wasnt even open doesnt work too well on a hot summer day. Its a shame to see the place get like this.

Lady at front desk was pleasant.... however, for the amount of money to purchase laps, the condition of the carts and track were PATHETIC !!! On my sons first cart, the protection headrest actually fell right off due to rust. Not the padded headrest part, but the entire metal frame that held the pad.... I feel Speedway 94 would be a much better and profitable business had the owner or manager had more pride and didnt have Half-assed equipment and facilities...sorry, but true....

My family was very unhappy with our experience. Not busy at all but had to wait on the staff, most of the time they are just on their cell phones. They have a small snack bar but there is nothing available in it. The worst part was how much money we spent to ride and we could not use all our tickets. My youngest daughter was tired of riding so I gave mine to my husband and son for the last ride and they refused to take them and do not refund any money. They just yelled at us to leave and my 7 year old left crying. We will never be returning.

Only fun if you have one of the three fast karts. Had two good karts for the qualifying runs (30 laps) had a blast. Then when it came to the 150 lap race I got stuck with one that hardly turned left and the brakes locked up. I would have to put my foot under the brake and lift up to release them. I did pretty well in the qualifying runs...got lapped 5-8 times in the Main event. There equipment is junk. Like I said had a blast when I had a decent kart...but 150 laps in a slow death trap got boring. Could be a good place if they would invest in it. Only reason they didnt get 1 star is because their staff was decent.

Many of the carts did not run right or at all. One had NO brakes and when I told the worker, he tested it, confirmed there were no brakes and did nothing. People were still using the cart. As for the employees, Ive met more customer friendly people working at Wal-Mart. When I got the cart with no brakes finally stopped, the employee seemed like he was mad at me for not following his instructions. If anyone reads this before they go, pick another spot for a family outing. I will never go back.

I believe that Speedway 94 in Hanover was overall a very good experience. I would give it an overall score of 8/10. I read the prior reviews as to what people complained about so I took several precautions before going. First, I checked the weather (as most tracks are outdoors and do not operate when raining, as far as I know). Second, I called to see if any tracks were Reserved. One was reserved for a race at 6.30 PM for a Bandit Race, which we worked out not to interfere with our day. When I arrived, there are several signs that say No Refunds. There is even one right at the front desk that says No Refunds for any reason including, but not limited to, inclement weather, acts of God, or threat of nuclear war. Ha! So I can see why the manager chose not to refund money in the past (of course that wouldnt excuse poor manners).I did an 8-ride armband with my group of 5 other guys. All of us are older (23-27 years old), which is a different clientele than many other reviewers with children. The quality of the go-carts ranged from fair-to-excellent, which I explain below on each track. We rode the three outdoor tracks - the Outlaw, the Gran Prix, and the Figure 8. The Outlaw is a slick-track where you drift around the corners. Tons and tons of fun! This was my personal favorite. It was tough to get the hang of at first (because of how slippery it is), but once you get the hang of it - it was really a blast. The cars go very fast, and there are frequent spin-outs which are fun in their own way. (Note: No one was trying to spin out, and no one got hurt when they did.) The cars seemed very consistent in speed from car to car.Second, the Gran Prix - this is the longest track with the most corners and turns. Also LOTS of fun. We raced with 6 or 7 people at a time. The carts (we raced the carts called Hornets) go pretty quick and they were all running about the same speed, except for one which was going MUCH faster than the others. Regardless, it was really fun for our group.Third was the Figure-8. Still fun, but the equipment here was sub-par. In our group of 6, two of the people always had to volunteer to drive the slower cars, and one car was MUCH faster than the rest. We made a game out of it, trying to use the slower cars to stop that faster ones. Even though the equipment was poor here, we still had lots of fun. Once, a car crapped out on our group member mid-race.Now, we can talk about the employees. No one looked happy, save for one soul on the Outlaw track. Most other people seemed fairly miserable, which is pretty consistent with other reviews. Want to imagine what the workers are like? Think of the last time you went to a theme park and an employee strapped you into a roller coaster. I worked in a theme park for 3 years, and I can tell you that the ride operators there are exactly the same as they are here - unhappy, sweaty, hot, and usually miserable. But people still have fun at theme parks. It certainly did not hamper us having an absolute blast at Speedway 94.The arcade inside was terrible. We got 4 coins each with our wristbands (lots of machines out of order, and even ones that work are old and poorly taken care of).Overall, I paid $35 for 8 races on a Saturday afternoon. We were probably there for about 3 hours, with each race lasting about 10 minutes. Waiting in lines was typical, but no line lasted more than 15 minutes or so. Our group had a fantastic time and I would recommend this location to anyone else who wants to have fun racing little, zippy go-carts around a track!

I went for my friends birthday I go to run the first race when someone I was with saw a dead cat in the bumper boats pool. That was the beginning of a horrible experience. Once on the track we had a cart have the wheel fly off of it. We got yelled at for bumping during a pile up when we tried hitting the brakes and they did not activate according to their workers a motor like a car will be stronger than the brakes (completely false any cars brakes will be stronger than the motor). On the outlaw track I had a motor that died it bogged in the turns then it slowly died out after it turned off smoke came from it and the frame rail was covered in oil I said something to the worker and they wrote it off. Customer service was bad, tracks were bad and were the carts. Spend some extra money at another track and save the time and pain.

Unfortunately this place is a typical tourist trap. Never having been here I elected to go with the one ride price as my son was eligible for the midgets. The midgets were a major disappointment. The first cart I drove just plowed to the outside with no left turn capability except to lock the brakes and slide until your cart was facing where you wanted to go. I parked that cart and was offered another. Once sitting in this cart, if you let go of the wheel the steering went to full right lock. At least you could slide it around the turn. The engine, however, cuts out as soon as you start sliding with no torque (acceleration) coming out of the turns. Carts are not maintained at all. Many had flat tires just mounted on rims. The rims themselves were bent in many cases. No one at the facility seems to have any experience with basic chasis setup. To that end $7 for one ride is way too much. We tried the Hornets next. They moved faster over the road course but still had the tendency to semi-stall if you slid in a turn. The only way to keep the engine pulling was to find the widest line possible which I was able to do as it was only my son and me on the track. With other drivers on the track it would have been more frustrating. I was tempted to try the Outlaw Sprints but after taking a better look at their condition decided against it. Again, not worth $7.We found out about this place through a flyer at the Motel we were staying at. As my son and I were down here following the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars on part of their East Coast swing (May 15-19) I thought it would be fun. The flyer advertised a 40+ foot tall Hippo Slide on the back right above their season hours of operation. Open Daily April 1st-October 31st. There was no Hippo Slide in sight when we were there a month and a half into their season. The Gravity Storm was not in operation. The climbing wall was. The picture of the arcade shows, what looks to be, the newest video game. The others arcade games were ancient. Dont bank on the arcade.Although the facilities (carts, arcade) were below par, the staff member showing us around was suprisingly friendly. She was accomodating as best she could under the circumstances and was a bright spot in the whole ordeal. Im sure with a bigger crowd, the enthusiasm might fade a little but she was nice.Overall, there are the makings of a really good cart palace in place if the owner/management ever decide to set up the equipment properly. For little kids, I have no doubt they thoroughly enjoy the little carts indoors. For older kids/adults, its a tough sell with the carts in their current state of disrepair. I understand you cant have carts so powerful kids are flipping out of the park but engines cutting out/stalling, steering issues, flat tires, etc., take all the enjoyment out of what could be a thrilling event worthy of mentioning to friends and family. About the only thing done well is the flyer which depicts a veritable racers playgroud for kids and adults. In all honesty, the flyer never mentions that the rides are exciting. All it says is that they have various carts for various sized drivers. Another point to ponder is, as mentioned in previous posts, regardless of cart condition/issues, there are no refunds.

We had our first and most likely last birthday party there today. For starters, they were only open on friday and saturdays so I chose to email for bday party info. After about a week I did receive a response, which I replied and asked if my preferred day was available. I never got a response. We were in the area one night and decided to stop by to book the party.Today we arrived about 15min before the party was set to begin. There were 2 people behind the concession stand, 1 was helping a customer and the other ignored us and kept her back to us pretending to do something. Finally the other person was free and waited on us. She wasnt sure about parties so the other person had to wait on us. We were asked to pay the remainder of the balance up front, which we thought was strange. What if not everyone shows up? Then we are out that money when we are only liable to pay for up to eight children. After a little while we were given the wrist bands and tickets to ride the carts. When all the kids arrived we went outside as a group to start riding. This was our first time ever coming to this place so we had no clue where to go or what to do. There were no employees to be found. We finally spotted someone and waited for him to come out of a booth. When he came out, he walked right past where we were CLEARLY waiting to speak with him and up to a racing track. We stood there dumbfounded and after a couple minutes he finally got a clue and asked if we needed help. He told us what to do so we decided to start with the track he was working. He let the children in and stood in front of all the cars and watched as the kids struggles with their seat belts. I HAD to ask him to please assist the children, which he eventually did. When we were finished racing and it was time to eat pizza we all went inside to the party room. Everything was set out. Plates, cups, napkins, utensils, pizza. Unfortunately the pitchers of soda were set out and the condensation leaked across the table and soaked the plates and the bottom of the cake box. I thought we were to have a person assist us with the party, but no one did. We also noticed that there was an exposed electrical outlet in the party room where anyone can very easily electrocute themselves. Most of the vending machines were out of order. Although the kids did seem to enjoy the go cart rides, I am very disappointed with the lack of customer service we received. I will most likely not be returning. My suggestion is to have some adult employees that know about responsibility work with these teenagers.
