Inscription:Here on May 11, 1880, during a dispute over land titles between settlers and railroads, a fight broke out during which seven men lost lives -- two deputy U.S. Marshals and five ranchers. Legal struggle over titles finally compromised.

This is a historical marker, it is not anything too special. The chain around the marker and the sign for the farm near by distract from the marker itself. You will miss it if you arent looking for it.
