Great Catches every time I go! (Edit) There should be a day, where it’s free for families! Maybe 6 or 7 families could share the pier with their kids and teach them on the importance of the ocean.️

Its a great time with a lot of great people! The fish bite like theres no tomorrow, as there may very well not be for them. I would recommend for people of all ages with its reasonable prices and accommodations. The only issue you may run into is the parking, but that is easily overlooked once youve arrived! I love this place this is the spot me and my family go to fish. it was a tragedy when that barge crashed into it. and sometimes...most of the time it has trash every where but i cant be mad

Its a really great spot, but I came here last night specifically for open 24hrs but I saw no updates on any platforms saying closed for construction or for how long, so drove a hour for nothin will come back w.e it opens tho!

(EDIT: My favorite pier as far as FISHING is concerned. I do have MY best luck at this pier.)Small parking lot. Usually out of food by 4pm. Price is fair though, and they do 2 dollars off if you have your saltwater license.EDIT: Ive never been told of understaffing before just that food was sold out. My apologies to the owner. There is indeed overflow parking and the lot is directly across from the small main lot making it easy to access the pier.

Info showing fishing pier is open 24hrs I drove 2hrs and it still under constructions.Very disappointed

I have been fishing here several timesI like the place and the pier stuff and the people are nice.Im from fairfax county 3hours away the pier, dont mind if i drive 3hours just to get here.croaker,spot,flounder,trout,ribbon fish,and lots of referent kind of fish you can catch here.Cobia?yes if your thinking to go here just hit the road.dont forget to bring a crab trap,you might wanna throw em down either cut fish or chicken neck will work,lots of blue crab youll ganna enjoy here.

We didnt catch much, possibly because of the time of day we went. But it was nice and peaceful out there. The staff was accommodating and the view was beautiful.

Almost all VA saltwater species can be caught here. From trout to cobia, porgy to mackerel, this pier puts in work.

Employee running register was polite and pleasant. People who cant cast straight on the pier, not so great. Love to fish here!

Great Fishing Pier!! You never know what you are going to catch last night we caught red drum. No keepers the have to be 18 in. Several spot and croakers. We also caught about 30 crabs. Check it out you won’t be sorry if you know how to fish.

Absolutely beautiful at night. Plenty of nice people and lots of action in the water. We were sightseeing tonight ($1/adult) but we will be back to fish later ($8/adult for fishing). $8 minimum to pay by card. They even have snacks out here. Open 24/7 from April-December. Pier is closing the morning of 7-30-2019 as seen on a sign out there tonight. (They sell bait too.)

First time going to this pier and it was a good experience. Caught a couple fish and a crab. They have a little shop there that has bait and snacks. Also has restrooms. You can fish here if you dont have a license, youll just pay and get a wrist band.

Reopening date and ceremony tentatively now planned for mid October.

It was beautiful befor the barge tore it down a few months ago! They are in the process of rebuilding it!

We love fishing here. Relaxing. A lot less stress than taking the boat out.

A sizeable pier open all day for many types of fish and fisherman! An $8 wristband gets you on from 6 AM to 6 AM, and the bait & tackle shop is open 24 hours a day in season as well! Pole rental is good at $10 a day and the staff is super friendly and helpful most of the time. We did get chased off due to a huge storm, but once it passed we were right back out! While Im not a fishing pier connesour, in fact this would be the first Ive paid to use, it was definitely a good experience!

Great family fun place.We caught a lot of spots and some croakers. I loved the atmosphere. It’s also one of the safest places I have been to take a child fishing. They sell just about everything you need at the entrance booth. There is also a beach beside the pier.

The fishing was just ok. The pier was in pretty good shape. Some of the lights need to be replaced. (Hard to see). Staff was nice.

Non working lights on Pier at night, that remain non working for months, no longer preparing at least hot dogs, like other piers. Pier damage, structural and non structual, that goes unfixed for lengthy time. Having cones beside/over trip/slip hazards, for months is unacceptable. Need some type of parking to ID vehicles, that you are ACTUALLY on Pier. Need more attention to bathroom, especially mens.

Never over crowded... Seems like some of the Happiest people come there to fish. Im not sure if I come there to fish or socialize...lol. Great Pier!

Great little pier...I went in mid August...incoming tide and the croaker bite was on fire...along with spot...Spanish in the AM and Cobia...get the app from the Virginia DNR to ensure you dont screw up!! Pier fee covers your license, so need to purchase one while fishing on the pier...bring a chair and enjoy the scenery of nothing else...GREAT spot to take the kids fishing...staff was friendly and helpful.

The mullet were amazing to watch from the pier. Someone amongst the Fisher Folk was playing Motown. I couldnt have asked for more.

I enjoyed my time at the pier! I got to say hello to some people I knew and had not seen for a while. Everyone was out there to just enjoy an evening of fishing, no drama.

Nice people. Very fair prices on all you need to fish and enjoy the day. No fishing license? No worries! $8.00 gets you fishing all day! The beach is literally right there So you can fish and your significant other can watch you from the beach. And your wrist band gets you all day access to the pier. You can fish, go for a swim and come back as often as you like that day.

Holiday weekend, pier overcrowded and womens bathrooms would not flush. Ive been to pier before and did not have this experience. Fisherman that were fishing for Cobia left a cut up fish under the sink all day until he left at end of day it smelled horrible in the heat. In addition, the Cobia fisherman would stop all would be fisherman from fishing on the end telling them the rules. After dusk regular fisherman still could not fish until the lights came on this was not posted the sign said sunrise to sunset. Lights were out mid peir causing unsafe environment. Totally disappointed.

We arrived around 230 am to fish by 6am we were told to pay the fee again. The lady at the counter told my husband I explained it clearly that you would have to pay again and I know I said it to you cause I say it to everybody....when my husband responded she said the same thing again. Just a simple apology for the misunderstanding because I did not hear her say you would have to pay again 4 hours later. Next time they should be a bit more clear about it...

Excellent fishing pier! It is well equipped for anyone or family looking for a good day of fishing or crabbing. They have a concession stand where you can buy food, drinks, snacks and bait. No fishing license is required. Enjoy!
