Great facility! Our team (BWSL Norfolk Xpress) made it our home since the day its doors opened. Love visiting. Plenty of parking. RV friendly too. Great place to play and sponsor tournaments.
Excellent sports complex, great location, friendly / knowledgeable staff and lot of parking.
I really enjoy coming to this facility is very clean with professional and friendly staff. They serve good food at a good price. However, be prepared to pay steep fees to attend AAU tournaments $15 per day or $25 for a weekend pass. Most venues charge between $5 -$10 dollars which is more reasonable for most families that want to attend and not break the bank. So I had to keep that 1 because of the expensive entrance fees.
Not good at all. I have been coming here to games for years and everytime it is a problem with the referees and the staff.
AWESOME HE IS MY COUSIN HE IS A GREAT MAN LOVE YOU MY COUSIN
I dont pay in order to get in, because Im a coach, but it costs to attend special events. I was told by some people that they paid $7 each for entry. The venue serves as a place to hold athletic events, especially basketball and indoor track. There are very few healthy eating options, which disappoints me as a coach, parent and patron. Some events last all day long, and the student athletes healthy eating options are limited to fruit cups, bananas and apples, which are $1 each. In my opinion, thats too much. The snack machines are filled with junk food, which is also disappointing. They dont allow outside food and drinks, so youd have to leave, if you want healthier options.Seating is limited in the track area, and its difficult to walk along the sides of the running area. If youre using a wheelchair or happen to be of a larger stature, youre most likely going to have problems navigating your way through the crowds.
The tournament have great competition. The cover charge is high. So call and inquiry the door cost before inviting you whole family like I did. Because you might be surprised.
Perfect location for the Red Cross Blood Drive.
No smoking, at the complex at all. Dont get me wrong, I never smoke near children. That said, outside at my car in Hampton, when I have a Virginia Beach student, is unreasonable. You really expect people to not smoke for 8-10 hours? That is lazy, and stupid! Create a safe space, away from the doors, or reap what you sow! You cant eliminate, a legal pass time!
Very nice and respectable track complex. I wish the security was better and that the staff would be more respectful and kind
I went here for my schools track meet and the place was over all pretty decent, it was a nice big place with pretty good foo. The one complaint that I have is that the track looks kinda ugly. Other than that its a pretty good place.
Parking terrible. Facility encourages/allow vehicles to block emergency route. Lawyers take note, they are aware, do nothing to ensure guests safety.
Took a group of kids to a track meet here. I only needed to use the restroom but theBOUNCER at the door refused to let me do so without a band. I explained to the lady at the window I was a bus driver, she told me to just show my badge but again with the man at the door he told me she was not in charge. He was very rude and I didnt even bother to ask the cost to view the track meet so I cant speak on the facility. Very bad experience. Someone needs to be more understanding and a training moment.Another lady did come out and let myself and a parent use the restroom.
We were there for the state 5/6 indoor track and field meet and what a terrible experience. It would have been possible to overlook the outdated dingy, small facility if the people running the meet had treated people with some respect and kindness. The officials at the meet were so rude. It’s so crowded that they were constantly yelling at the students to get out and go to the gym where they had to watch the meet on tv, which didn’t even have all the events. The athletes were unable to cheer on their teammates and in some cases the coaches boxes were so small, not all the coaches could fit. I personally witnessed an interaction between one of the pole vaulting coaches and an official and the official could not have been more rude and disrespectful to the coach. He was outside the coaching box because there was no room and he was not in any way in an area that blocked anyone’s view or near another competition area, but when he tried to make his case she berated him and threatened to red card him. It was jaw dropping. Not to mention how they talked to the kids there. These meets should be about the kids, but the officials took all the fun out of it. I guess if the athletes wanted to cheer on their teammates they would’ve had to pay $10 for a wristband. Thankfully we were told the contract will finally be up next year and the meet will be held elsewhere. Don’t know who negotiated the contract for 5/6 with Boo Williams, but glad it’s ending. Terrible, terrible experience.
This was my first time visiting the Boo Williams Sportsplex. I attended the eastern district track meet. I have to say that I am fairly impress with this establishment. The atmosphere was great and it seemed like a fun place to bring the entire family for all types of activities. Not to mention the food at the concession stand was delicious especially the fish and Fries combo. I will definitely come back for other sporting events.
Facility was very nice and clean. There was a basketball tournament but everything was running smoothly from transition of games to the convenience counter.
Was recently here for a BJJ tournament for my son, the staff was great, especially the security guard who helped return my sons phone.
Bathrooms were dirty about all soap dispenser were out . Food was not that great need to sell little red hot dogs they are the best.most people dont eat beef anymore. They ran out of cups for Gatorade for the plays .not planned out very well
It was cool!
Place nice and clean food is good workers nice and polite keep up the good work
Clean, friendly staff, good games. Should get another exhaust fan for concession or maybe change the oil.
Great facility and location. Staff was pleasant & maintenance kept the place clean during and after events. Centrally located to hotels, eateries and entertainment. Free parking which is a plus considering the usual high cost entry fees.
Limited viewing areas for indoor track meets, resurfaced track is nice though
I learned some things about my muscles and my body, and learning is always good; the only drawback is that I have to pay for it, smile, but I do feel better.
Here for a tournament, not enough parking spaces..had to pullup on grass. Purchased a burger, it was disgusting..I couldnt eat the whole thing. Went back to get ice refilled and told would be a $1..nevermind. There was gum and dirt on the bleachers and wall where I sat. The bathrooms were out of toiletpaper, soap AND paper towels. I am sure this was just a staffing issue but it appears to be a place where tournaments typically happen so I am not sure why it was not planned better. The actual courts appeared to be clean and appropriate and the security staff were friendly people.
I was there for high school tournament, great place and great people.
BWS is a nice a facility, however the staffing could use additional training. Security is is rude and inconsistent on what they allowed into the facilities.
One of the premiere spots in Hampton Roads for AAU basketball and local and regional track. It has been a staple for athletics in Hampton for over 15 years. They have a banquet room for receptions and parties.
Love my therapists, they are all very personable and caring. I have learned a lot about how to take better care of my body all while having fun.
Loved it, was my first time there. It was a Family and Friends Day for Zoin Baptist Church! Had a great time!
First class sport complex great customer service.
Awesome place to spend your weekend sports competitions. Great food also.
Nasty and smelly. Both men’s bathroom’s flooding into hallway. All for the price of 11 dollars you to can get wet feet. Gotta do better.......
8 basketball courts or 4 courts and an indoor track. Parking can be tough at times, but it looks like they are adding parking.
All games were easy to find.
Decent place. We were there for the NAGA tournament. Food was a bit overpriced and of lower quality. Nice clean facility though. Parking lot is a bit small, but you can park in an overflow lot or in the grass
Our recreation basketball games are held there. There is lots of space, so it has never felt too crowded even with lots of people. The staff are helpful as well.
They keep the temperature comfortable for the athletes even on the hottest days. The have food but the options are lacking for just about anyone with any special dietary needs and they don’t allow any outside food. Luckily it’s easy to get in and out though their check points so you can easily pack a cooler and eat in the car.
Great place to walk at before noon Pleasant people to be in company of...
Great sportsmanship among all the teams. Good food at the snack bar but NO organization. Wish they would have dropped the curtains between the courts.
Its all about the kids, love it.
Awesome. Wonderful service!!! Just an overall GREAT ENVIRONMENT
This is a great place for basketball tournaments, but it seems they dont put enough back into the facility to keep it up to date. Some of the assets need attention
Greatest high school basketball environment in the US
Lots of fun nice facility and great food!!!
11dollars a person and cant even use the bathrooms water was coming out in the floor running into the entrance to the bathrooms probably 2000 or more people there 11bucks each add that up you think the bathroom would be in working conditions
Nice sports complex...seversl events going on at the same time...most of all, adequate seating
It is a nice place to walk a track in doors or to exercise. Not very accommodating for families. Would be better if they had some activities for young children
We watched a Track Meet there and the facilities is great with bleached seating. Concessions are pretty good: I recommend the Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Cheese Fries.
Great establishment. Huge parking spaces makes it easier for ongoing traffic. Great surrounding environment as well.
Great spot for basketball and well kept up!
Beautiful complex for Sporting Events
Clean and easy to get to. But vending machine for water was out of order. Sign outside door said no outside food or deinks. Some people dont drink that other stuff. Boxers wanted wanted water.
Over priced food for athletes who can not afford the prices during track and field meets.
Im delivering your new air conditioners, I hope you enjoy them.
A great sport complex
Nice facility, sitting was much better than we typically see.
Nice, well maintained. Bathrooms were kept clean despite a large crowd of patrons.
Its a nice place but they need better referees here
Very organized and clean.
The Bathrooms were a bit dirty. The cheese burgers where terrible. The track was a little beat up but over all useable. The sound system had a blown speaker, so announcements where difficult to understand. Otherwise, decent place.
Nothing worse than dirty bleachers.
Pretty warm today and it wasnt even packed!
Easy to get to first the time I have been there. Not much seating for track meet though, and a lot of fallen near finish line.
Ive had many years of youth sports at the Boo. I guess its more of a machine, than a family business feel. Just my opinion. They still need a healthier menu to serve young athletes all day
Nice complex but cleanliness could use attention
Outstanding basketball facility!
Track surface was behind all year from completion.
Nice place to go when you want to see your kids run.
Very nice and large facility. Nice and helpful security.
I come here for track meets and am impressed by the efficiency and how they run the meets. My only complaint is the concession stand. They only serve hot dogs, burgers, fries and other greasy fare. My student athlete needs more than an apple to sustain him all day. They should offer healthy food since its an athletic complex.
Easy to access, plenty of parking. They have a small gift shop as well as a concession stand. There are other dining establishments nearby.
Great sporting complex very spacious to view all events.
I just started going yo pt here, I lost hearing in one ear and since then my balance has been awful, the staff here are super friendly, they try there best to work around your schedule, the place is clean with all new equipment. Im glad I chose to come here
Had to go here my daughter is running track, nice place never heard about nice facility
It was Great watching my Son Jalil Blount play for the Aberdeen Ballers won their game in Overtime
Great place to walk around the lake. Fishing isnt the best.
It was fun but my mom took me to early
Nice place to watch your kids sporting events. However, the bleachers are not cleaned regularly, the restrooms arent the cleanest and the cost to attend events is very high. With those prices, Id expect a much cleaner facility.
Parking is tough during Big events and the staff doesnt seem to know how to deal with it. Once inside it was a cash only entry transaction hmmm I wonder why? Courts are well maintained and plenty of sitting.
Great place but they charge a lot to get in
Nice spot, alot of different age groups striving up here
A great location but ultimately it is a basketball facility. Not enough consideration or money has been put into making it a true multipurpose facility. The track is in bad shape and there isnt much space for spectators during a full track meet. I have no doubt its a top notch basketball facility though.
One of my favorite stops on the GEYBL
Good food. Nice staff. Always busy.
Clean and easy going
Visited the complex center this weekend for basketball tournament the admission price was OUTRAGEOUS. One day & Weekend Pass were both $31. Why? One day pass could have been $20. You even had to pay for 2yr olds & babies. How can you afford to bring your family to experience this.Just disgusting. All the money they generate in a weekend between admissions & food they door price could be better. I dont plan on coming back. Ive been coming her since my older son played. He is now a freshman in college. Good luck BW. Sincerely NYC
Facility accommodated all our needs for our event
I come here to utilize the indoor track which I really like. Folks meet up to fellowship and get there walk on. I have not had any problems with this place. I recommend it to young and old. There is no FEE!!
Cost WAY too much, just to watch my childs game, especially when we already pay so much for them to play in the league. Food is nothing special normal snack bar food. It is always clean.
Nice experience! I enjoyed
Nice place to go when want to see different games.
Well ran events and clean facility. I recommend you this to my friends. God bless the Boo Williams family and staff.
Good venue. Need more seating available
