Rancho Corral de Tierra

A fun network of trails winding along and above the coast, alongside a ranch with horses and up to some beautiful views. A bit busier than some of the other nice parks inland from the coast here. Park in one of the adjacent neighborhoods rather than trying to fight for a spot in one of the small lots along the 1.

Great place for a ride or a hike. Its never too crowded.

This place is great for biking or hiking. 3 miles climb on fire road. Excellent view when you get to the top.

Nothing technicall, but steep and good for a quick workout

The peaceful serenity of green hills down to the ocean is especially beautiful this year.

Not a trailhead. The only thing here is a bad road and grumpy farmers who tell you to leave. It is a private road with no trailhead. The better spot to get to the trails is town the road about 7 miles at grey whale cove.

Fantastic place to hike with your dogs (on leash only). Beautiful views over the Half Moon Bay airport. Highly recommended!

There are great hikes to be had here available in many levels of difficulty. From relatively easy paved to very tricky, slippery gravel and rock. The views from up on the mountain or the nearby hills are great on a clear day or even a partly cloudy one.

This recent addition to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area is very quiet and not well known yet. Hikes are on steep terrain and fairly exposed to the sun. Dogs allowed on leash. Expect mountain bikers.
