We started getting crickets and dubia roaches for our bearded dragon from here. Josh is a nice guy and very knowledgeable. Looking forward to his shop being 100% finished.

Josh is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. His prices on crickets, dubia roaches, and other feeder insects put any of the big box petstores to shame. Literally half of what youd pay at a petsmart or petco. I enjoy my weekly visit to get goodies for our bearded dragon and conversations with the owner. If there is something Josh doesnt have and he can get it, he will order it for you. Cant wait to see the store once it is 100% finished. I cannot recommend Appalachian Reptiles any higher. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They are happy to answer any questions you have and make your pet shopping experience very enjoyable. There is a large variety of aquatic animals and reptiles. If they don’t have the animal you want in stock they can special order it for you. Also best prices around!

I have only been there one time (so far) and even with all of the construction going on, Josh took his time with me to help me out and get me what I needed. Most importantly, despite all of my research, he told me something that probably saved my bearded dragon’s life. You can tell he is super dedicated and knowledgeable and he will be my go to from now on.

I moved from Westminster, MD to Hagerstown last December. I havent found a great reptile store for my Amity since Ive moved. I finally found the one!

Best fish store ever, Ive been buying all my pets needs there for the past year, and I have no complaints healthy fishes, and if he doesnt have it in the store he can always order it! If you tell him its your birthday he might give you a free fish of his choice.

Its a small shop but the owner is incredibly nice and accommodating. He helped us find the perfect pet snake and got us set up with everything we needed. A great local resource!

Great selection of fish and reptile supplies and animals. Even went above and beyond to order my cat food and liter at a great price. They told me they would be stocking all pet supplies when they remodel in the summer! Highly recommended.

I would absolutely recommend Appalachian Reptiles & Aquatics to anyone who is in the market. They were more than willing to answer any questions I possibly had with starting a new hobby. Their pricing is also far better than any chain store.

Definitely NOT your average pet store! The store is small currently, yet so unique with products and incredible customer service. As an avid aquarium enthusiast/hobbyist, i find it challenging to find stores that impress me but with unique pieces of hardscape and a variety of aquatics and reptile products, this place is great! I am excited to return.
