Its an average park with trails. The riverside is not well maintained and a bit dirty. Good for casual walk and roaming around or if you are interested in fishing, its a place for you. If you are taking your kids and stroller remember, maneuvering a stroller is very challenging as the trail roads are uneven.

Great trails to walk right along the river! Very relaxing and will definitely be back.

Pennypacker makes for a great mid-day hike. The trails are clean and wrap around the pond making it a very therapeutic experience! Make sure to bring shoes that you dont mind getting dirty if it has rained in the last few days. The paths tend to get a little muddy.

Beautiful views surrounded by a beautiful neighborhood. Great for a place with nice trails to walk. Some trails may get muddy after rain with pudding. Plenty of parking along the park and never overcrowded. Shaded benches are available for eating.

Bring bear bells to warn local teenagers who are making out on the upper trails that youre in the area. If you encounter a couple, talk firmly in a loud voice and slowly back away. Do not feed the teenagers.

Is really good place to be a savage

Pennypacker park is a different experience every visit. Weve been here in late winter and summer. Its a very nice hike with well organized and mostly wide trails for walking, jogging, or biking. Summer was wet so try it after a dry spell if you dont like the wetness. Winter was a nice walk with no leaves marning more scenic. Dogs are being walked and lots of geese. Goslings are due in april or may so get those phones to 100% before heading out.

Its a pleasant place for a walk, with wider paths and smaller ones that allow you to walk between trees instead of field. There are birds and plenty of wild life. Fair warning, though: if you have to go off a path to avoid angering a goose parent with its goslings, check to make sure the grass isnt hiding mud.

This park is well maintained, the trails are a nice walk. Would highly recommend it if youre looking for a 20 minutes getaway in the woods.

Good trails, but it often takes a few weeks for paths to be cleared after a storm. Good for running, and biking (depending on the mud).

Pennypacker Park is a small, well maintained park. Its got places for kids to play on swings or go exploring, you can fish there, though I always threw back my catch when I was growing up.There are areas for joggers, and a ballpark right across the street.

The Dr. Van Nostrand Company offers excellent walking tours here. My favorite guides are Cal Varnsen and Art Vandelay.

Nice for Jersey

This is a nice place to walk. Depending on how you do it, you can make a two or three mile walk out of it. Its usually cool-ish in the summer because the path is mostly shaded. They recently refurbished several of the bridges on the path, which was a bit disruptive when it was taking place, but a very nice improvement. The only downside is it can get pretty muddy in places. They have been trying to address this by putting down stone in those places. That has helped.

Well maintained dirt and gravel trails. Not exceptional but not bad either. Good for a nice jog or long walk.

Since parks and recreation has been doing construction on the bridges surrounding the trails there has not been alot of areas to walk around. When the ground is dry (Its been a really rainy couple of months) it is not so bad. You can get a nice hike, jog, or bike ride in.The have mile marker tracks if you like to keep track of how far you are going. They are also a conservatory for birdlife and nature.

Great place to bring young children to learn how to fish, nice atmosphere

This place is a breath of fresh air. You can wander around for hours and did not feel tired at all. The atmosphere itself, the views help you recharge your batteries and come back feeling fresh and positive!
