Nice park hidden behind a strip mall. Needs more pier. Walkways are short but nice pictures and many birds mostly water birds (ducks, geese).

Nice running tracks along the river.

Nice little walkway. Branches off into woods with paths. Geese and ducks hang hear seasonally. Cpuld be a little bigger but still nice and Serene.

Views along the river are pretty, but the park itself is sketch. Trails are overgrown and the structures inside are dilapidated. The deck behind the mall has bent forward into the river a bit.

Great place to take a walk.

Ive been coming down here for years, mostly in the winter months to photograph the Bald Eagles that frequent this location. The park is in shambles! The structures are literally falling apart and are unkept! One area of main concern is the main deck directly behind The Shops at Riverside. It poses a great safety concern for the hundreds of people that visit it. The deck is slowly collapsing and is visible as it is obvious. I have contacted the parks division a few times and nothing is or has been done to rectify this safety issue. Something needs to done before this deck collapses, especially if people are on it. There could be death or injuries due to the neglect of this issue. I will try and make contact one more time withe the parks division to see if I can get some action. If not, then I will go to the press. All in all, the park is an awesome place to view wildlife, fish, take photos or just to relax as many do. Unfortunately, its going to take someone getting injured or even die due to the lack of maintenance this park deserves.

I agree with another reviewer that this park is undermaintained, probably to an unsafe level. Additionally some areas were covered in trash, and actually finding the park can be a challenge (Go to Shops at Riverside, go toward parking garage, follow signs for lower lot and keep going toward river, park in garage). However, in a way, the unkempt nature of this park makes it more interesting. It almost feels a bit abandoned and post-apocalyptic. Despite that (or perhaps partially because)it is actually quite beautiful and was almost deserted on a warm January Sunday. Saw some wildlife (a fox on the opposite shore, birds). Lovely place to wander around. Not sure Id bring younger kids given the parks condition.

Love going to this park. Could use some TLC though.
