Nice little park with a great new playground. Cool paved walking trail where you can read a storybook along the way. Public restrooms that include automatic sinks, soap dispensers, papertowels and a baby changing station. Looks like they closed them recently but they provided port-o-potties. Theres also a Little Free Library. My daughter loves the musical arch. I love seeing the birds and squirrels. Pretty place to walk your dog.

Independence Park is a small Center Grove area county park whos major point is accessibility. All the facilities are wheelchair friendly including the playground which got a major overhaul in 2020.

Awesome park. Best and safest playgrounds I could ever imagine. The playground area has a kinda rubber type surface, kinda makes you feel like your walking in the moon, or on a sponge top mattress lol. Had a great birthday party there today. My 58. I think my only recommendations is for trash receptacles be put in common areas, however there is a dumpster, a little further away, - nonetheless the place is exceptionally clean. My vote for the best little playground i have ever visited. The coolest swings. Peaceful as well.

They have upgraded the park with all new equipment! Perfect for toddlers to about 10-12yrs old! There is a basketball court and shelter houses too, you could easily spend a couple hours there.

Beautiful park. Playground was recently updated. Has a pathway that goes around the grounds but, it is in need of replacement. It would be great if they could replace it and widen it at the same time.

Nice walking trail. Usually pretty busy at the playground and picnic shelters are generally full on the week-ends. Well kept and facilities.

This park was recently renovated in the summer of 2020. Plenty to do for children ages 2 and older. There is also a nice walking path along the perimeter. Three different shelters for hosting an event. The basketball court is a little dated, but otherwise a nice, safe, and clean park. Can get crowded.

Its an older park but the kids love it. The are basketball courts, even one for the little kids, a big kid playground and one for the littles. There are a few covered areas for parties, there is also a walking path with fun little stories and riddles along the way.

Great park especially for smaller kids

Went here last year and it was great for my 1 year old. Went today and they are doing construction and have torn up all the playground equipment for the smaller kids, and the rest is missing some stuff. So if youre just there for the playground, Id find somewhere else for a while. 4 stars right now, but Im sure the upgrades in the future will be worth it.

There is no trail roads tracks but good park

We drove over an hour just to take the kiddos here. Such a nice park for babies and also toddlers/school aged kids. We also loved the goats. We will definitely be back again!

The best park around! It has the best, well maintained playground equipment. It has a great sensory area. It also helps that it has a great fence around the whole of the park. You probably wouldnt know the fence it was there if you didnt walk the trail around the perimeter of the park. It helps to be able to let our son run among the trees and know hes 100% safe if he gets out of our sight for a second.

Its a big park with a wide variety of things to do, and is a pretty good place to take prom or Homecoming photos. It is a little old and with it being older the sitting areas made of wood are a little banged up but overall is a nice place to just hang out.

Great place for family friendly hunting. Once caught a biggun out in the fields, defiantly the best hunt ive been on, but gotta say the coppers round there got no chill. They dun started chasin me outta no where. I was hunting and them pigs jumped me.

The day was beautiful, 60 degrees out in the middle of winter and every snobby Center Grove mother towing the family along was there. Okay on the impression of the park was perfect for all ages. Each age group had age appropriate equipment.

A cute little park. Lots of things for the kids to play on and the little info about ducks on the pathway was really cute.

We go every year for memorial day weekend family reunions. Very nice park close to bathrooms. Electrical outlet outside you can charge your phone. A+

We visit this park all the time and love it. It has something for all ages. A playground for the little kids as well as the older kids. Baskeball goal plenty of gras area for whatever you could imagine and a walking path with a story you read a page at a time as you walk around. The kids love to see what new stories they put out. And a bonus the neighbors behind the park have goats and chickens which the kids love.

Independence park is one place that my mom takes me to this park a lot and it is a lot a fun it is old now but it is still a very good park.

Great park. My kids absolutely love it. I love how there is something for every child, no matter what their needs are. The park definitely needs new landscaping but the equipment itself is in great shape. We love to visit the neighboring goats!

Large multi - use park with paved walking trail, two large picnic shelters, basketball court, youth basketball court, restrooms, and playgrounds. The playground has areas for toddlers, younger children, and older children. Each area has mulch cover and contains multiple structures. The structures have educational elements. There is also adaptive equipment. The walking path has exercise stations and learning activities. Best part, the property next to park has goats (private property). Heads up, bathroom is only unlocked during summer months. They recently put a porta potty for rest of year, though.

I love this park so much! It is away from busy streets and has playsets for younger children AND older children. There are so many paths and my son loves the goats and chickens that roam in the adjoing property. There are mature trees with shade for a picnic. It is just the best park.

Great local park. Not very wooded but still really nice. The playground is really set up well for all ages. They even have a walking trail that going around the whole park.

We love to have picnics and play here. Play equipment for about every age group and ability.

Our favorite park. Room to run, lots to do, great playgrounds. We love the tennis courts and we built our home nearby to be closer.

I actually came here for Pokemon Go with my daughters. But the park is phenomenal. Theres swings for disabled children. Theres a park for younger kids. There are goats along the back fence so bring some food they are always hungry and really sweet haha

Great park for our 2 year old granddaughter. Activities divided by age, 2+ & 5+, with swing sets for all ages. Swings for special needs or wheelchair bound children as well. The neighboring farm has goats and chickens which interacted with the children. A number of shelters and picnic tables all over and restrooms as well. Paved walkway for walking/running.

Playground equipment is getting a little worn and dated.

Nice park kids love being there been going there for sbout 7 years one thing about it when it starts to get dark outside make sure you get out of there quick the lady next door who closes the gate will lock you and your kids inside the park and leave she did that to me and the kuds and I was shocked
