Was asked to leave for no apparent reason after just buying a drink. Bouncers were physically aggressive for no reason. Seems to be a trend with this bar that other reviewers have also mentioned . . . Will not return and will steer others away

A truly unique joint. Why it works I have no idea. Theres nothing really nice about it, but it packs in the younger crowd. No ppl particularly clean, only on street parking and no real price specials

A group of girlfriends and I were out for an engagement celebration. I’ve only been to this bar a couple times but was absolutely disgusted at the behavior the bouncers are allowed to continue with. One bouncer threw my beer away because he said it was empty, although it had been purchased 5 minutes prior. My friend and I were trying to figure out where her leather jacket was and texting other friends to see if someone else had accidentally taken it with them when another bouncer told us it was time to leave...at 1:50am. I was taking one last sip of my beer before getting up when he grabbed my beer from my hand spilling it all over my clothes and all in my hair! When I tried letting him know how disrespectful and inappropriate his behavior was he just continued to make rude comments. They need to get a handle on their bouncers obnoxious behavior!

Best karaoke on Wednesday nights. DJ Josh P puts on a great show. Plus has the words to any and every song you can think of.

Nice atmosphere and the bartender made us the best dirty bird cocktails!!

Great environment, good drinks and cheaper prices than some of the other bars downtown. Only issue only one person can go in the bathroom at a time I had to wait a long time for the restroom on a full bladder.

Myself and a group of friends just arrived to this bar. We were met by the bouncer at the door who didnt ask for our IDs, he literally pointed at each one of us and picked an article of clothing and said I cant let you in because of your joggers, cant let you in because of your shoes, I cant let you in because of your coat etc. Apparently place is doing such good business they can afford to turn away five or six hundred dollars that the six of us were going to collectively drink. As someone that sits on the board of a non- profit organization I would now never consider renting their event venue for a fundraiser because of their discriminatory practices at their business. I wouldnt want my clientele subjected to this sort of discrimination and hatred!

This bar is disgraceful. They have very agressive bouncer that gets in your face. I was standing at the counter trying to purchase a drink and without word or acknowledgment from the batrender I was ejected by a bouncer that came from behind and insisted that the bar wanted me removed. They have also overcharged my card which is being disputed. I have never been treated with such disrespect by any establishment in my life. I travel the US for work so maybe it is because of my northern dialect. None the less, I am not from Greenville but I strongly believe that this sort of operation is dangerous to this community. What ever happened to sothern hospitality?

Quaint little hole in the wall. For those who appreciate a good night of Latin dancing, its a nice spot. Music could have more variety though.

This is a locals bar during the day and almost a club in the evenings on weekends. There is usually a short line to get in. Prices are good, the crowd is usually jumping and the DJ tends to play hits. Jell-O shots are $1 which makes it fun to buy a bunch and start handing them out. If this is your cup of tea, you’ll have a good time.

Great atmosphere. Need better restrooms just like any other bar out there tho.

Theybalways play the best music, good mixed crowd, best DJ in town, great for dancing in an upbeat fun atmosphere. We go at least once a week, and being a local thats saying something with all the options to choose from.

Fun place to go for dancing, watching ppl dancing, good music and a jello shot . Great professional staff. Even though there is a lot going on there, I feel like they watch out for everybody. Fun place!!!!

If you like to be abused, humiliated and lied to go to this bar!!!There are no zero ratings, so I am forced to put a one star. Physically and verbally abusive bouncer. Contacted owner, who leaves message on my phone 2 weeks later, apologizing profusely for his out of control behavior and offers to reimburse for drinks ( at a minimum). My son was having a drink with a friend. He gave the credit card to bartender to pay. It initially did not go thro. He knows the card was good because he had just used it an hour prior. He requested that the card be run again. Before, it could even get processed, the bouncer grabs him and pushes him toward exit. Their has yet been a refund on the card for the drinks.

I’ve never had a problem with this place until tonight ... patiently waited In line for a very long time, bouncer said the place was “over capacity”. More than 20 people left the place, but we were still waiting in line, so a friend kindly asked the bouncer “what’s the count ?” Because a lot of people left and we still were waiting in line, and the bouncer shut the door on his face instead of answering his question. While waiting, the bouncer decided to let 20 other people in before us, even though we were in front of the line . Killed the mood for the night, not worth going back. There’s no need to be disrespectful for no reason .

It was better when they had Fred Rock Rockstar Karaoke... Live music and entertainment are my thing.

Just thought you should know how disappointing it was for you as a business to be listed as a participant in a bar crawl and then try to charge an additional cover charge to enter the bar.

Very cool spot on fri thru Sunday. Hip hop music could be a little better tho. They act as if playing some new up to date hip hop is going to scare people away.

Be prepared to wait in line for a very long time even though the line is short. The bouncer is very rude and lets in people even though we were the first in line. He would tell you they are from an event upstairs. So people will be going in and out of the bar yet we were still waiting. Inside is dirty and the drinks are not so great. That was my first experience at On the Roxx. Second time I decided to go on a Monday evening around 9pm we were the only ones there. I had two drinks which came to 15 dollars but I was charged 55 dollars when I checked my bank statement. BE AWARE! I have try to get in touch but no one answers the phone! There are many nicer places in Greenville, save yourself the hassle.

Good hangout spot, they usually have a DJ of some sorts and the staff do their best to accommodate everyone. It can get stupid busy on the weekends, so bring your patience in with you with your thirst.

Not my type of place. it struck me as the place where people gather who didnt grow up out of the high school party mode. bathrooms were also filthy

The most professional staff in town. There is a reason this tiny club is usually full. From the friendly, unobtrusive security folks to the fantastic bartenders, I always enjoy going here. Karaoke Wednesdays are my favorite day of the week.

Susans Latin dance Thursdays are held here and is a great place to get your salsa or bachata on. All skill levels are welcome and it doesnt matter if you bring a group or ride solo. A fun intro mini class starts around 8:30 and a $5 cover will get you in for the night.

If youre trying to come here to cap off your night forget about it. Music stops at 1:30 and bar closes to shots only. All patrons are out by 1:45 even though other bars in the area are open until 2. My girlfriend was in the bathroom at 1:45 and the bouncer rudely told me to wait outside. Also, this place nearly always has a line even though there is plenty of room inside.

Everything was overcooked after waiting 45 minutes for our food. With all the choices in Greenville I dont think we will come back again.

Good music and a good spot for all ages

When your from one of the largest cities in the county... some clubs are just a joke. Dirty and gross inside. I love hits from the 90s but come on... its 2017.

All around bad atmosphere. We heard from many locals that this was one of the top places to go and it disappointed. First off when we arrived the bouncer saud the place was at capacity, but they werent even elbow to elbow in there. To be honest I think yiu could have done jump and and jacks and not touched the person next to you. When we did get in the crowd wasnt even worth the wait. If you are from out of town Id stay away, this is purely a locals bar.

In Greenville a few nights. Apparently it was the only place around w Karaoke on a Wednesday, but overall good spot.

Lets just say, Great atmosphere, great drinks, outstanding service and the staff was superb.

Loud, ridiculous, and obnoxious. Terrible, rude, people: fighting, crazy drunkenness (I get that its a club, but come on) and sensory overload. Bartenders were amazing and so was other staff. Atmosphere was basic, boring, and loud. The music was 8 years too old, and not trendy.

Loud, crowded, kind of worn out. Not great for craft beer or fine wine. If you want to go dancing at the club this place is for you. The guests are younger and there to partay, and they seem to have a good time.

Only go for the private Greenville Salsas private event upstairs on Thursday nights. The place is always too hot, too small, and the floor is very uneven making dancing sometimes dangerous. The event is excellent.
