Two weeks in a row now Ive been week of 8/7 and this week of 8/13 and the fire alarm is disfunctioning and creating this aweful pattern noise throughout the entire movie theater and plays in the movies audio. Unbelievable these people cannot remedy this issue. I would strongly recommend calling first and seeing if this has been resolved. Terrible experience twice in a row, come on Regal get your sh@! together!
0/10 would not recommend.
Im not sure if this is correct, but 100 AMC theaters will reopen August 2Oth with limited seating capacity and masks will be required. For that one day tickets will be $.15 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the business at 1920 prices. Several different movies will be shone. Black Panther, Back to the Future, Russell Crowes new film Unhinged. Discounted popcorn and drinks. Please call and verify if this is one of the locations. Otherwise check on Yelp.
Went for a family movie night the other evening and it wasnt busy, however they had a line out front as there was only one person selling tickets. Went inside to buy from the kiosk and it was much faster. The place is showing its age but it was still a good facility. The seats were nice and comfortable, but the popcorn was lacking flavor...
Movie theater was fine. But unremarkable.
Went here a couple weeks ago with my husband. Had a really good experience. Great place. Will definitely come again and love that its close by!
Cherrydale is a great cinema and they sell beer and wine now! Friendly staff and the place is very clean. I wish they had recliner seats but they at least do reserved seating now which is great.
Best movie theater. Dont really like the assigned seats...but other than that, the movie theater has really good workers, they keep it cool instead of hot unlike other movie theaters. The food is great. And the sound quality is perfect. The seats are padded
I went to a show with friends last Thursday. We purchased our tickets at Flat Rock Grille. When we arrived at the theater we had to wait in the concession line to validate our tickets. The lines were all 15-20 people long. We weren’t getting food as we had just had dinner. We waited in line for 35 minutes and missed the beginning of the show. This is unacceptable. I won’t be returning to this theater.
Glad to be able to go to the movies again.
Clean. Decent Seats. Decent Service. Lost power 1/2 way through the movie and got offered a voucher or full refund. Took voucher. They do serve alcohol here, if you are interested. I took away 1 star for power loss as they said it happens there with some frequency (how much can it cost to fix as compared to so many peoples lost time and blown good time? Poor Management). I took off another star because I have sat in much better seats in much poorer markets. Id go back as I have little choice here in Greenville.
I love bringing my kids to this theater. They have a pretty neat play area out front for the kids. Staff is always very friendly and its always clean.
Had a great time watching summer movies.Just watched the Star Wars movie. We enjoy the movies here. This theater is very clean and the staff is very friendly.
I was planning on making another purchase at the main desk but the general manager chose to ignore me and continued his conversation about Clemson. Football. Meanwhile looking right at me 3 feet apart. Oh well. Star Wars was good!
Went to see the latest Star Wars movie and was expecting a crowd. While there were many people there, we found the lines at the concession to be quick and the theatre and restrooms were very clean and orderly. Very nice place to go for a movie.
I would give 5 stars because I’ve missed the movies, but there was this annoying buzzing sound the entire movie.
Cosy theater with decent seating and sound. The theater was as good as empty for the 10pm show. The food didnt burn a huge hole in my pockets.
Best theater around! It is our go to cinema. Hot fresh popcorn. Every area is clean. Sound and picture are great. And we are loving our unlimited plan!!!
This is the closets theater to our house. Its nice and not too crowded but the prices are high. I can get a ticket for $6 back at home and these are $13...
I love going to this theatre. It has comfy seats and an amphitheater setup. The temperature isnt too cold. The popcorn is popped right at the concession stand and not brought in large bags full of stale popcorn like the one on Woodruff Road. Staff is friendly and helpful. Once I lost a free ticket and the lady spoke with gave me another without any hassle. I highlyrecommend this theatre.
Good for quality and safety. Poor for highly priced foods and beverages. Terrible lines at food vender. Ticket sales line moves better, but is still a time suck.Fair experience for the price. Nice date idea, not a nice weekly retreat.
Its a cool place, maybe a little pricey but not bad! Has a few cool games and a photo booth also!
Not our favorite place to see a movie, but convenient. Ironically, the lines are so long for popcorn that we usually have to skip it. It ends up saving us money, but honestly the theatre is losing out on an additional $50.
I prefer this theater over any of the others here in greenville county. Not too crowded. Clean. Good staff.
Love these cinemas! They were very busy but the restrooms were extremely clean and the lobby was as well. The lines for the concession stand went quick despite being 5 people deep in line. Definitely download their app and get points for free stuff and concession upgrades!
Nice clean theater but missing amenities found in larger markets, like reclining seats. Tickets are also expensive, ten bucks for matinee. More and more people are going to avoid going out and just stay home and stream at these prices.
Went to see Unplanned (highly recommend for all!) Haven’t been to the movies in ages so when I do I am glad to have a good experience. The theater and bathroom was very clean and staff at ticket counter was friendly and helpful. Seats and sound could use a little updating but for the cheaper ticket prices here, this is a really great theater. Thank you for supporting Unplanned by showing it here. We will likely be back for other movies that are anti establishment.
Usually I have no problems when coming here, however today I was stopped by a security guard who asked for my ticket. I would be fine with this, but this security guard let everyone pass without asking for their tickets but us.
Saturday matinee, no line, seats were abundant. As with all theaters, candy prices are high. Ive been in Regal theaters where there is enough room to walk by a seated person without disturbing them and the seats will recline and pick your feet up too. This is not that, the seats lean back but that is all. I enjoyed all the previews, but when the main feature started the volume level rose 10-20 decibels and i had to put in ear buds so as not to go deaf. Seems this is the norm, deafen all the kids so we have an excuse to give them ritalin and kick them out of school. I saw Dr. Dolittle by the way. Not a classic but not bad either.
Would not recommend this theater. The staff did not want to help other staff. Many of the staff hid in the back of the theater when the refreshment area needed help.
Doing alot of changes. Good steak tacos. Now you have to pick your seats when you pay. Good thing I guess but alot of moving around when people dont follow
$5.39 for a bottled water. Outrageous. Also I don’t understand what’s up with the assigned seats? Why? I didn’t sit in my assigned seat because some Guy had their feet propped up on it. So I sat in a seat I wasn’t assigned. Worried that someone was going to tell me to move because it was their seat. Hollywood does the same thing. I don’t like it.
I really enjoy going to this theater. Clean. Many screens to view all the New movies. Great service. Spacious ampitheater style seating. Dynamic sound. And you can even purchase wine with your showing.
Enjoyed movies lines long for concession have to leave home a little early to meet showtime overall good experience
Great choices and hours. You can find something to watch, find a good seat and enjoy popcorn.
Wow. Terrible movie-going experience. The theater was not clean (looked like it hasnt been cleaned in about two shows) - when we brought it to the managers attention she suggested it was OUR responsibility to let her know it was a mess. Whats your job again? The movie (Us) came on, but the lights didnt go down; about 45 minutes into the film, it just stopped. We waited about 10 minutes, and then the lights came up further and they started playing the muzak between shows (Coming soon...). We waited and waited, several people went to complain to staff, and were assured that it would start again soon. It did... With no movie sound and with the same muzak still playing, with the lights even brighter than before, and about 20 minutes BEFORE IT HAD STOPPED. They finally got the audio issue fixed, but the lights never dimmed and my time of visiting Cherrydale for movies came to an auspicious end.The manager was standing outside after the movie ended with passes for everyone in the showing (fewer than 20 people, Id estimate) and no apology; but it was too little too late.
Awesome, Awesome, Awesome..I dont know how better to explain it. Always clean and employees or the best and very friendly. I love the Regal Unlimited Pass..it is Amazing.
Great selection of cinematic entertainment. Very clean and well cared for place.
Not a bad place to watch a movie but they need to start cleaning their chairs better. I sat down put my hand on hand rest and there was something gooey there.
Great place to see a movie and ice cream after in the shop next store
Only threater I know of with Flaming Hot Cheetos popcorn. That alone gets you 5 stars from me️️️️️
One bad Apple spoiled the trip! The tall blonde guy at concession needs to trained in public relations before trying to handle anything else.
I love this movie theater I go here all the time to watch the new best shows I had the luxury of working here one day and being able to see all of the theater screens and projector set up and of course it was awesome.
A lot has changed in this area since this theater first opened. The seats were rather uncomfortable for me and my friends in the theater we sat in for my movie but I didnt want to knock off stars because sometimes these places do replace their chairs but it takes a while before all of them are replaced.
I had never been to this theater before and I was a little apprehensive considering the area can be questionable at times. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. The screen quality is not as good as Hollywood 20 but it is much cleaner. The staff was also friendly, courteous, and super helpful. This location also seems to get a lot of limited run movies and smaller indie movies which is also a plus if youre into that sort of thing. Another positive is that you dont have to deal with the 385/Woodruff Road hell-scape to come here. I would absolutely recommend coming here.
There is room for improvement. First off, they no longer offer your rewards by presenting your card. Was told I needed to download the app in order to get my rewards after they rang us up for both the tickets and concessions. No mention of this during either transaction and I didn’t want to be rude to others and hold the line up. Not to mention this eats up data on my phone to do so. So much more convenient and efficient to not have to bother with my phone in order to get the rewards. Second of all I bought a medium drink and popcorn combo which I always look forward to and when I took the popcorn up for a refill was told they no longer do that for the medium. Paying $18.00 for tickets and $14.00 for a bag of popcorn and an ice filled drink should offer at least one refill. Let’s just say that on my next visit the gas station up the street would like to thank you for their business. I can’t see how driving people away from your concession stand works in your favor. Last of all, while leaving stopped to play one of your lobby games, which only takes cards now, and it wouldn’t let my card go through. Looked for someone to inform but all hands were busy. On the plus side the theater was clean and well taken care of. The employees were pleasant and the movie was enjoyed. We will return but sadly no popcorn and drinks next time.
It was the movie and cleanliness, not the service that gave this place 3 stars. Get in early if you need anything from the concessions.Your movie will start before you get what you ordered.
Was told I was getting a ticket for Avengers Endgame Bring Back but it was not the Bring Back event. The managers refused to grant me a refund or tickets for the actual Bring Back event.EDIT - The General Manager of this theater took the time to correct the negative customer service I experienced so I am altering my star count. Thank you again for reaching out to me sir and compensating me for the service I received that evening.
I love this place. Its not too crowded! And everyone is nice.
A great venue to see a movie before its released for home viewing. Regal hosts lots of other limited-time viewing events like concerts and older movie re-releases. I love going to the movies at Cherrydale!
Toilet s too low needed vacuuming but movie was great. It was cold as well.
Great. However there was only one server at the candy/popcorn counter with a long line of customers.
Cherrydale is great place for family, friends or groups. Clean, great menu! Seating needs some repair/replacement or at least greased to stop the squeaking. Bring a blanket - ice cold in the theater...
The theater itself, sound quality, video quality, seats, and design are perfect. My only complaint is the concessions stand. Why does the staff take 30 minutes to get 2, maybe 3 customers through the line?
Enjoyed the movie but ticket line very long and slow
I grew up going to Cherrydale. A great place, well maintained and is up kept nicely.
Good movie experience. We enjoyed it!
Need more clean restrooms, more power in the hand dryers and their seats make weird sounds every time you move. It is close to my house, that is why is ok
It has been a few years since I have been here. It is starting to show its age. The seats we had were not comfortable and broken. For how expensive it is for tickets these days there are theaters that are better.
There is a terrible crackly noise repeating through every ceiling speaker. Quiet movies will be ruined. Please fix it.
I Always go here and I love it. No loud customers. No drama.
Decent theater but the sound systems and seats are just average. The walls are to thin and you can hear other movies through the walls.
Reclining seats were great, so was the setup.
Pretty good theater. Like any theater really, nice enough to have a good time and see a fun movie
Nice seats. Concession were slower than Christmas both times recently.
Lots of movies to choose from, but the new seating chart that you MUST choose your seat from BEFORE you even enter the theater is horrible!. If you change your mind after you actually SEE your seats in person, TOO BAD! And dont try meeting friends there or saving the seat beside you for them. You must all go in together, or not sit together. Plus, everyone trying to pre-choose their seat holds up the line and makes the wait to get in very long. This was a really bad idea they came up with recently. Camelot Theater, just up the street, doesnt do it this way.
DO NOT BUY FOOD HERE! The actual movie experience here is actually not bad at all, but that might be because you missed half the movie waiting in one of the 3 registers they have running. Ive been to this movie theater 4 times in the last two months and never had a wait time shorter then 30 minutes. Just take my advice and eat before you come.
***Update: It took a total of 50 MINUTES waiting in line to buy two medium drinks and a medium popcorn. *** This is my first and last time seeing a movie here. Opening weekend of Avengers Endgame and they only have 3 of 8 concession lines open, and the lines that are open haven’t moved in 20 minutes. Cashiers also shouldn’t be getting every drink and snack item in addition to ringing people up. Really poor planning considering they offer shows every 15 minutes. You shouldn’t have to arrive an hour before your movie just to get snacks.
Arrived last night 5 minutes before our 8:00 showing. Only one person was infront of us in concessions & the girl took 15 minutes to finish their order. At 8:15 we were finally helped & i told her we wanted nachos, & a medium sprite. I asked if we could use our small free soda reward off of our card and pay the difference for a medium soda, she said yes. The screen said 13 dollars and some change. I asked how that could be if we were only paying for nachos and the dollar difference between small and medium drink. She said it was just a free drink upgrade that she used & had already swiped my card: I said so you’re charging me for just a free drink upgrade and not the free soda she said yes. I said are you serious she said yes. Ridiculous and didn’t try to help fix her mistake at all. She said “the reward will be back on your card next time y’all come” I’m thinking why don’t you fix it now? Just charged me without even asking. Horrible customer service
Great theater but concessions has been really slow both times Ive gotten food.
Great facility but every time you go here it is a nightmare getting concession. Six people cant handle three lines. Allow at least 20 minutes for this part. I am writing this as I stand in line.
It was fun.the movie overcomer was great.we like running movies.it reminds us when our kids were in school running.:)
Really good theatre with lots of food options, occasionally, theyre understaffed especially with crowds and even busses of people. In those cases, its best to not buy anything unless its something quick like candy.
Would have given it 5 stars but the food is totally outrageous in price! I paid $7 for a large fountain drink of Coke. Seriously Regal???
Ordered my ticket online a couple of days ago. Was able to walk right in bypassing the ticket office where there was a line and had my ticket scanned. Got my popcorn and drink with no problem. The cashier was very helpful and friendly.
Clean enough, but seats not comfortable enough for a 2hr+ movie. Not nearly as comfortable as Simpsonvilles Cinema 16s theater seating.
Had a wonderful time. Had a great experience. Comfortable seats.
This and like many of the Regal Theatres need to seriously work on repairs of the seating most used. They are uncomfortable and worn. Some of them even have torn leather and sharp edges. The prices they charge this should not be! Move seats if possible to the other rarely used areas. Or install new when the old are worn.
I have been going to movies here with my family since it opened and elsewhere my entire 73 years. I never had to make reservations in order to get a good seat. Now that I am handicapped it is even more Inconvenient. Today we waited in a long SLOW line and had to take seats so close I got a headache. I think I had rather wait and watch the movies when they come on TV or Netflix. Going to the movies has always been my favorite hobby, but the fun of spontaneity is lost with this new policy. The movie was great (Downton Abbey) and so was the Popcorn. I really hope this was not my last movie theatre experience.
I enjoyed watching John Wick on the big screen. We got hot buttered popcorn and soda that went great with the movie. The people working there were very friendly.
Matinee showings are great, but dont understand why have to select a seat when purchasing ticket.
Good experience! Not as crowded as Hollywood across town and still able to go in and sit without presenting seats! Like most theaters confessions are slow! Theater and bathrooms are clean! Seating is adequate.
Not the most comfortable but not bad good sound quality
I have a Regal Unlimited plan, which I purchased online with Anderson, SC as my preferred theatre, as I live nearest to this one. The movies are supposed to be UNLIMITED, but when I used it here I was charged $1.50!! Nowhere did I see that there would be an upcharge in certain areas or Id have not purchased this plan. May as well have continued my MoviePass plan, which never works! Im sorry but is that $1.50 worth losing a customer? Think about that Regal....
Great place to see a movie but just like last time it was a little stuffy. Not what you want trying to get out of the summer heat but not enough to not return.
It has great accessibility for wheelchairs and seating that is in the middle and raised up so you are not in the front having to crane your neck looking up at the screen. The service is great. They also offer free movie showings for people with disabilities on SSI that draw a check, which is a wonderful way to get out of the house and enjoy entertainment on a limited budget. Its a wonderful place for the family, and a real blessing to the community especially elderly and younger people that cant afford to get out of the house much.
Love the fresh popped popcorn but they seriously need to upgrade their seats!!!!
Enjoy this movie theatre. Love you can have an adult drink if you wish.
Was great used Fandango and got to walk Into theater have my phone scanned and bam right to the movie. Comfortable seats and never to crowded and enjoyable experience for a birthday movie with my son
Nice theater. Lines were long when we arrived, but it decreased in a timely fashion. If you order your tickets online on one if the movie apps like Atom, you dont have to stand in line. I like the seating here. Its comfortable. The chairs lean back a little. We saw the Incredibles. Good family movie.
The place is kept clean and has comfortable seats. For those who havent been to Cherrydale Cinemas in a few months, they have recently added wine and beer to their concession area. The only thing is youll have seats that want to squeak and creak when you lean back or lean forward. If you want to avoid the crowds, I recommend coming on weekdays if you can.
This is my favorite cinema in town. What I like most is each auditorium has stadium seating. I also appreciate how easy it is to get in and out,as traffic in the area is not nearly as bad as the other cinemas in town.
