Take a trip back in history and learn all about this historical village that dates back to the revolutionary days. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and great with the kids. The tour kept them engaged and learning. Definitely recommend the tour for a fun family outing! Also, there are trails on site that are open to the public for more exploring.

It was a good drive by. Doesnt really give you a feel of the era but instead shares the structures of the houses and how they were built back in the day.

Am absolute County Treasure. Please go visit this wonderful place at least once. The staff there goes really far to try and suspend your disbelief and bring you into the moment imagining what the old seat of Westmoreland County was like.

This is a very good way to learn about the very first English courts on this side of the Allegheny Mountains. Allot of history previous to the ratification of Decleration of Independence in 1776. The town was burnt to the ground.

Volunteers/staff were very friendly and welcoming, but this is quite a small site-- we were expecting something more like Old Bedford Village or Landis Valley, so wandered around trying to find the (non-existent) additional buildings. A nice stop for those interested in local history, but probably not a full day activity unless they are holding a special event.
