Decent course, was in good shape when I played it. Carts are the bare-minimum, least-equipped possible. No GPS, and there is next to no yardage on the course, so playing here without a range finder is miserable. Staff super friendly and helpful, and I gave it 4 stars vs 3 because the practice area is outstanding. I also thought the greens were fast but fair. Fair challenge. Also, really cant beat the price.

Well if you like wide open shots on a links style course, Totteridge is for you. If you spray it all over the place in a links style course... Totteridge is not for you. If an easy looking, hard playing course is more your style, Totteridge is for you. Not too expensive for a round of golf. Normal priced pro-shop. Decent food. First time here, not my last.

The course handles water about as well as a kiddie pool with a hole in it. Completely brown in spots and soaked in others. Bunkers feel like Erie beach sand. Wouldn’t recommend.

I thought the course itself was a nice and well kept up however our tee time was at 2:20 which we got of time but it took us 5 1/2 hours to finish the ranger at one point came and told us he got a call that we were going to slow I want to say the gentleman was not ignorant the way he approached us about it we explained that when we get to the tee box we have to wait for the group in front to tee off and he didnt talk to that group and tell them I dont know what time frame they book their tee times but they need to look at that. I wont go back there golf again

Loved this course! A challenging, yet very playable course that rewarded smart shots. Solid layout (demonstrating that despite the hilly terrain of western PA that a smart layout can produce a top quality course). Great condition for mid-April. Bit out of the way from the city, but worth the drive. Definitely worth a regular round.

I travel all over the US exploring different golf courses. Totteridge is at the top of the list, due to its elevation changes and over all layout. Wonderful course, suits all types of players.

Sprinklers going off in the middle of a shot, maintenance workers watering fairways and not allowing golfers to play through. Cart paths feel like you are reenacting the battle of Hannastown all for $57 on a weekday.

Review №21

Great public track. The course has several memorable holes and forces you to play a variety of shots. Greens were rolling true. The fairways were a little brown in spots but that felt in spirit with true links golf. 1 or 2 bunkers seemed to have drainage issues, but thats a small complaint and the only issue I saw with the condition. The highlight of the course might be the views. From several spots you can see across most of the property, and the rolling hills are a great setting for a round of golf. All in all, challenging, well-conditioned course with even better scenery.

No ranger in sight to move groups along. Pace of play for the round was comical. Groundskeepers were mowing greens as we were putting on them. Solid course layout and conditions but waiting for the group ahead to look for lost balls every hole was ridiculous. This course just needs a ranger to keep groups moving.

My son and I have played 18 different coarses this year and by far this place is at the bottom of the list course was in terrible shape and we had to do a 20 minute delay in the start time that put us finishing in the dark because of the clowns in front of save your money

Love this course and layout! The reason for only 3 stars is because of the price. I am (and most people I know) a weekend golfer because Im just too busy during the week. To pay $67 for one round is a little too high....some might disagree, which is fine but this course has hovered around $45-$55 for the past 3-5 years which I feel is the right price. Its already expensive enough with all the equipment and everything else you have to buy.Should consider lowering the price

I played here on a weekday morning for $45. The course was in terrific shape and well worth the outing. My friend and I are single-digit handicaps and enjoyed the beauty and the challenge of the course. The course with its natural undulations is so scenic. While we made a few birdies between the two of us, the course layout only afforded us two middle pins all day (easy to tell as front-middle-back pins are assigned colors), with one of those pins tucked behind a bunker.Overall, a must play in the Pittsburgh area. 5 stars.

Best public course in the area bar none. The layout is sprawling, winding through different terrains with huge elevation changes. Practice facility is second to none including a flat driving range with unlimited balls, a massive tee area thats well maintained, a huge putting green, and a green and fairway to hit wedges from 75 yards and in, which is rare in my experience. Furthermore, the practice green by the first tee is excellent for a more timely warm up. The course is forgiving from the tee except par 3s. Approach shots have to be spot on. Greens are fast and very challenging with multiple tiers and the like. Conditions are always excellent. Overall I love the course and I think anyone will. My friends and I always get excited when we make a tee time here!

Played Friday, 6/17/16. Great layout. Tough course, but very fair. Cant wait to play it again. Best tees on a public course that I have ever seen. Pace of play could have been better, as 4:45 is a bit slow. Ill chalk that up to the 1:30 tee time on a Friday afternoon.

Er

Solid course. Various teeing grounds provide a good challenge if you are willing to accept it. Over the years, much of the trouble (tall grass and bunkers) is being eliminated, making this course play much easier. Great grounds crew.

Review №52

The day I went to Totteridge I went to use their practice facilities, first the facility is excellent, they offer a huge driving range with 2 separate areas that have multiple markers that signify yardages and they offer an excellent short game area that you hit short chops or pitches or hit full shots up to 100 yards, they also offer a huge sand bunker for practice and a huge putting green and the best part is the reasonable price that they charge and the staff there are all very friendly and more than willing to help if needed ..

Played the course for the first time on Saturday July 18, 2015. course was in great shape, enjoyed the links style layout, the fast and true greens, and the pace of play (4hr15min). there are only a handful of bunkers on the whole course (mainly fairway bunkers) that are being phased out and therefore are not in great shape. will definitely come back.

We drove down from Buffalo NY to Pittsburgh to see Paul Weller and decided to play a round of golf while we were in town and we are glad that we chose to play at Totteridge. The course was amazing and challenging but very fair. If you hit good shots, you will score well as long as you can putt the fast greens. The course was in great shape, pace of play was good (about 4 hours for 18 hole on a Saturday) and everyone on the staff was friendly and welcoming. We may drive back to Pittsburgh just so we can play here again in the future. Get out and play this course. It is an amazing track and is very affordable to play here.Roy BBuffalo NY

Came here on a Tuesday during October. Course is really surprisingly nice. Greens and fairways are better than what you would expect for the price. What ruined the experience was the amount of people on the course. I played for 4.5 hours and only got to 15 holes. Way too many people booked in one day. Additionally, the mowing crew came on the course at 5 not allowing me to play hole 12. Outside of the slow play, the clientele seemed a little rough as well. This course has the potential to be a great course, management just needs to step up their game.

I am a VERY avid golfer, 3-4 times a week. The website says the best course behind Oakmont and Laurel Valley. Lets just say that statement being a lie is an understatement. I can name at leat 20 courses that are 10 times better and MUCH less $$$. The fairways were basically a bunch of brown spots, rock hard dirt EVERYWHERE and the greens and tee boxes are similar as far as how well kept they are. If Reese Jones could see it now he would never say it was his. As piss poor as it comes for the price. Disappointed is an understatement. They should pay you to play.
