I used to go here a lot when I lived in Greensboro. Other than the younger crowd occasionally getting sloppy drunk and occasional fights (nothing more than the usual club scene), it’s a great place for a fun time. Gets pretty crowded during events or Friday nights. This was my Friday night spot bc it’s international Friday’s. Drinks are average, music is great for a younger crowd. 3 floors when the rooftop is open. They offer booths and bottle service too.

Me and my friends were anticipating a fun night at your establishment. We drove 40 mins to get there, only for the staff to not allow us in because my friend wore boots. We told them that they can search us, but they refused. Please have a dress code somewhere online that we can look at before we go. Thanks

People were nice but the DJ on Saturday Feburday9th was super rude and mean. I don’t think I will come back because I feel attacked

I was really excited to go to the limelight. My sisters loved the one in NY back on the day and I expected this one would be great too. It was nice inside I’ll say that. But the experience was a let down. The staff as others have mentioned are rude. The music is good but I’m not sure if I’ll go back for a second try.

Went on a Friday and it was lit! Lots of great people, and great music. Loved all 3 floors! I also went the following Saturday and it was okay. Only the top floor was open and the music was okay. Definitely had 10X more fun on the Friday.

Came in on a whim with some friends that saw some adds on fb. Music was great. Bartenders were super cool. All together had a great time.

Went out with my friends on a Thursday night and my experience was amazing. The staff was extremely nice, the venue was amazing, and the DJ kept my friends and I dancing all night. Will definitely be back in the near future!

Not the best service at the entrance, I bought my ticket ahead of time, and it was me and a buddy, he bought the tickets and send me the QR code, but my friend enter before me and once I got to the entrance I showed them my QR code and told me that wasn’t enough, I needed proof of the name and purchase, tried calling my friend inside but he couldn’t hear his phone, waiting maybe less than 5 minutes and I was getting kick out for not having the ticket, but that’s not the experience I want to talk about, the workers were rude, especially the lady who told me if you don’t have the ticket than get out of the line and go somewhere else, the guy next to her told me to get out if I don’t have money to buy a ticket, that pissed me off and I took out my wallet and told him “don’t treat me as if I’m poor” and paid for another ticket, seriously worst workers they have, for the owner, please train your employees better or hire new ones, it makes your business look like it’s run by ghetto people.

I was excited for my birthday but it was a complete let down. They told me i had 5 free people along with my table that could get in but ended up making my bf pay 20 because his id was foreign. The rooftop VIP was pretty small and not worth the money. The DJ was wack and played bad old music not the good throw backs but bad ones. They also didnt take music recommendations and all in all i wasnt satisfied. The bartender who could only pour my bottle was gone half the time. If i wanted to drink out of my bottle i had to find her. I ended up leaving early due to being bored. If the music was better i probably wouldve had a better time.

Best night club you can find outside of Charlotte, I would highly recommend this club for party lovers.

This is the best night bar in downtown Greensboro. the staff is friendly and accommodating. we had so much fun!

Been here twice, the first time was great, even though the staff are a little rude. Second time we paid $20 to get in, when we walk in only the first floor is open for some reason. Tried to get a refund but the staff would not let us.

My night was amazing except for the fact that the guy at the bar was extremely rude. I had to place the order for my friends since they don’t speak English. I made three different orders and three payments. He literally yelled at me all at once twice in an unpleasant way. I understand he may be stressed but, wt* is wrong with you? I am a customer and I deserve respect. Place is nice but this type of service is just disappointing.

I went to college in Greensboro, graduated in 2015. Limelight used to be fun, back when they had the swing. I went out today with some friends from out of town and it was HORRIBLE. The alcohol is cheap, the drink specials were as bottom shelf as it gets. Which doesnt matter We paid full price for what we wanted and the bartender filled the whole cup with ice; i had to tell her to dump most of it. The DJ is awful and arrogant. Every song he played was white washed. It felt like listening to a kidz bop version of classics. Also he doesnt taken requests, we just ended up leaving. It was an awful experience, i should have just gone to bed instead of wasting my time and money. Its so sad that this place ended up like this.

Average dance club experience on a Friday night.Was told to be here at 9pm to get my debit card after leaving it at the bar. Currently at the door. No one answering the door or the phone. Anyone home?A while later....... 12minutes later.... stillllllll nooooo annnsssswwwweeeerrrr....I realize its my bad for leaving the card, but if you make a commitment to meet someone in business, you keep that appointment. Just saying.And even later...In the end, very friendly bartender showed up about 1740. 40 minutes after the arranged time. Id recommend not making unrealistic engagements, but will bump this to two stars for the good customer service.

Best college night and the best international Friday party in NC. Bartenders are great as well!

I am a 120lb female and was dragged down two flights of stairs by my neck for spilling water on a crowd control guy. I screamed that I would leave and begged him to let me walk but apparenly this guy has a power complex and wanted to throw me around like a rag doll. I’ve worked in bars where we were trained to appropriately remove individuals but this establishment is a place for employees to prey on their drunk customers. DO NOT GO HERE!

Me and my homies went to this club lastnight and we had a great time! The staff was very friendly and the security handles themselves very well when people are acting up, I will definitely becoming back.

I will not support this establishment ever again; I had the worst experience ever tonight. I basically lost $20 at the bar because I was arguing with the bartender. She said I had to pay for a drink that 1.) was ordered by the gentleman before me, and 2.) I obviously did not order. I insisted on getting my money back, and she flatly said, “no.” I did not receive my drink nor did I receive my money back, so I essentially paid $20 for bad service. I feel, because I am a young, black man, she (the white bartender) felt threatened and called security over to assist. My request for my $20 to be returned shouldn’t have been an issue considering the fact that, again, I did not receive a drink. Security told me to talk with the GM/Owner. After talking to the GM/Owner to resolve the issue, he basically did nothing about the situation and told me I was out $20 dollars. I was then escorted out of the club and barred from re-entry. I asked him, simply, “what did I do wrong in the situation,” and he couldnt tell me. In the midst of this, the gentleman who ordered the drink before me was walking out. He stated to the GM/Manager that he paid for his drink, despite it being a blatant lie. I guess they needed the money more than I did.

The only thing I was impressed with was how nice the club was everything else they need to get it together. Staff was rude I shouldnt even have bought the one drink I did.

I was there for a St. PATRICKS DAY event and was told my girlfriend couldnt enter with Jean shorts, but could with jeans or khaki shorts. And they were doing a collaboration with Great Balls of Fire next door where you could wear jeans shorts, which is a more upscale....dueling piano bar. But yet and still both places are ran by the same person. Not really sure what the bouncer meant by not those jeans shorts. And the group of people in front of us, one girl had on cut off shorts....Jean to be exact.

The rooftop lounge area is pretty cool, you can see the city, have a drink, and a smoke while jammin to some music. Music has very different types of songs rap, pop etc.

Got charged twice for the same ticket, put in a request for a refund immediately after purchasing, but still havent heard anything from the organizer. so basically paid $50 instead of $25 (which is expensive in the first place to get into a club) and the place wasnt even full (obviously if tickets are $25 and no one manages the money properly) Im beyond mad right now. I wouldnt pre pay for this place. sketchy, they basically stole money from us and now havent heard from anyone.besides thathookah was $35 and all they had was mint flavorthe staff was rude as hellbathrooms disgusting (even for a club)just dont go here dude theres plenty of places around that dont need to charge $25 to get into a lackluster celebration.also if youre management reading this Id like to talk to the event organizer on new years eve to get my money back for the duplicate ticket I already requested. thanks.

LIMELIGHT IS THE ONLY CLUB THAT DONT LET YOU WEAR WHAT YOU WONT ! I KNOW THAT THERE IS A WAY TOO DRESS, BUT THEYRE REALLY STRICK ABOUT CLOTHING ............. AND I GO TOO OTHER CLUBS AND THEY SAY NOTHING, I JUST WISH THINGS WASNT LIKE THAT .

Worst experience. Went on a Saturday thinking all floors would be open, only top was open. Went in and walked right out. Asked for money back but said they couldn’t open register. Rude customer service by the way. Won’t be coming back. Spent 25$ with my date, worst money spent.

Definitely the nicest bar or club Ive been to in the Greensboro/Winston Salem area. Everyone who works there is super friendly and the drinks are actually very fairly priced which has always surprised me for how nice it is. The music is always really good too. Its our favorite place to go for a night out dancing.

This club used to be lit and the staff was cool and it would always be packed but ever since they switched management it just has completely gone under they dont host or advertise well and when u only have what feels like 50 ppl in a big club like that on a Saturday night it is not worth your time or money at all. On top of that the vibe from the management is just off setting I would not go here again however the club next door to right I see a lot of potential in!!!

Not worth the cover charge at all. If this is all the area has to offer for dance clubs then its a pity. While it is definitely not my seen, I was part of a group and figured Id make the best of it, but the service just ruined it.If you can make it up to the bar to order, the drink selection is tiny and WAY overpriced, then theyll get your order wrong. Not sure how they have trouble with a Jack and Coke, but I got a 7 and 7 handed to me which I handed back and was then given a Jack on the rocks...which I was willing to accept until I was charged for a double. $14 for a double Jack? Seriously? What high end club do you think you are? I wouldnt pay this for a drink at the Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, so I sure as heck wont pay it for the wrong drink at a podunk club in a college town.

Worst nightclub ever!! My friends and I went on a Saturday night and only the top floor was open. Drinks are overpriced and taste watered down. The DJ was old enough to be my grandpa and the music was awful, they even played “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus and there were girls making butterfly motions with their hands Never again!

Wow this is a extremely hot club outside in July aint for me. Lord have mercy on me. Plus my homie had to walk back to the car aww mane. You cant wear solid black tee shirts here. Which is sad. Cheap beer and fly ladies and hot men.

Not a friendly place ...from the beginning...at the entrance...I asked someone there why?.we get costumers with an actitud all the time.(I dout everyone is like that)..I answered time to improve your customer service ...you sell happynes we pay for it....

The staff is pretty rude. Last Friday I got a drink for me and my friend, on the second floor, and it was the worst drink I’ve had. I paid $20 for 2 blue motorcycles and they didn’t taste like they had alcohol. It tasted like sprite. We let our bartender know and he tried to tell us that’s the point of a blue motorcycle. Really? This drink is suppose to have like 4 different alcohols in it. So we told the other bartender and she basically called us liars and said she couldn’t do anything about it. I usually have a good time but that day was awful.

This club is the BEST in the triad by far! They definitely have the customer base to prove it. If you are celebrating an event, they have VIP cabanas on the roof to accommodate you. They are the ONLY 21+ club on Saturdays!

If I would I would give y’all a zero!! I am not a person that complains but I’ve had the worst experience at Limelight!!! I have family down here from Puerto Rico and I tell them we should go to limelight we will have a good time and they didn’t even want to accept their ID’s because the security guard said they are not U.S. ID’s!! First of all Puerto Rico is part of the United States how do you not accept ID’s that are part of the United States!!! The security guard obviously doesn’t know nothing!!! Worst experience ever!!If it has been an issue before You should invest in the ID scanners because we were able to get into another place and they scanned their ID’s!!! So I honesty don’t think your answer to this situation justify how your security guy treated my family and your excuse for not letting them in is not okay. Because how come we can get into another place that scans people’s ID’s but not into your club?

Don’t go here if you wanna get kicked out for stupid situations. I got dragged out by a security guard because I was dancing and spilt WATER over the balcony. He called me derogatory names and put his hands on me and then had the audacity to tell the cops on me who went and laughed at him since he kicked me out for SPILT WATER. DONT GO HERE!

Go there from time to time, but for some reason when i get to the door last night I pass the bouncer my id, he looks me head to yoe and says do you have a college id. Any other Thursday they never ask. I tell him no and he says you gotta find somewhere else to go. Males have to have a college id to get in which is clearly a lie because my partner went in 5 minutes before me and hes not in college.

Apparently girls can wear nothing, but a guy cant wear a tank top. Its the 21st century, there is no need to be sexist.

The Staff rude as hell. The floor is nasty with drinks all over the floor. The bartenders wont help unless you a cute woman. I waited for my drink half an hour but when I sent my wife they took her drink right away. Never going back again
