I really enjoyed my time at the Historic Magnolia House. I was there for an outdoor event hosted by The Artist Bloc. The staff was friendly and nice. The food is excellent and the owner, Natalie makes you feel like youre home.
The Magnolia House is a hidden gem in the east Greensboro area. I had no idea about the historical relevance but was amazing by its story. Our team arranged a lunch there and the food was fantastic! We enjoyed fish and grits, fried chicken wings and french toast, mimosas and homemade pound cake. I recommend to all for a visit and meal. Im super excited to return to see the completed museum and bed and breakfast projects being developed!

Beautiful Im happy I had the chance to volunteer tonight. It was amazing.
What a great show that was put together by April Parker!
What a history! All the jazz greats and athletes that stayed here! You need to visit this place and watch The Green Book to learn about the history. Food was excellent and great conversation especially with the owners.
The advertised buffet was non-existent. A majority of the items on the small menu they were out of. How are you out of waffles? Just make more. The salad and rolls were straight from a bag. Although the tables had linen tablecloths giving the impression of upscale dining, we were served with Styrofoam bowls, disposable cups and plates, and the food was not good. After paying in advance $17 a piece we had to leave there to go get better food
Important part of our history
Fantastic! A piece of Greensboro history, this venue serves delicious food and desserts. A local jazz ensemble performed in an intimate setting. Be sure to watch for upcoming affairs and be sure to make reservations.
Great place! The staff were friendly and attentive. Also the food was great!
Thank you all for making my birthday such a beautiful and joyous occasion.... The Historic Magnolia House is very much worth the experience. Beautiful house, customer service excellent, food fantastic, and music was perfect... love-love-love the Mimosas Thank you again
Beautiful place with an incredible history as a Green Book location!
Theres a small selection on the menu, however, everything I have eaten there has been delicious. I also really enjoyed the live music.
Absolutely beautiful experience!!! Amazing food and tour of this historical establishment! You must visit....you wont be disappointed!!!
Wonderful aviance, great food, friendly staff & the music is sublime. Serve was slow & menu is limited but the other qualities were so delightful that I would overlook & visit again.
Food was excellent. Service was great. Location unique, different, comfortable, and clean. Plan to come again.
Love the history, the food was wonderful and the service super friendly ️. Thanks for a great evening!
Food just okay, decor great, service excellent. Not a restaurant for obese people to sit in comfortably. Jazz was the best. But I still recommend in supporting our folks. Had a unique Fathers day.
This is a great place for dining and having events. Management is amazing.
Wonderful historic home beautifully decorated. Fantastic Black History Green Book event!
The food was horrible, as well as the service. Waited for an hour for the buffet to be restocked. No butter, sugar, anything on the table. Definitely not worth the price.
I ate there onceDidnt have any vegan options.not vegan friendly food
Food pretty good. But no homemade desserts. Why? Music good but there was no signing just instrumental bum
I think you pay for the jazz. The food was good, but not impressive. Great experience, though. Plenty of history.
Poorly
Beautiful!!
Horrible Sunday Brunch...first off- no mimosas...that’s not brunch. Next you have to pay your $19 before you’re seated...that’s not how it should be done. Then the actual buffet- terrible! All of the sides tasted like they came from a can or a box! Seriously...there’s a ‘chef’ in that kitchen putting out food!?!? I think not. The green beans were from a can, the grits were not cooked well or seasoned properly, the baked beans were not even Bushs canned, the cabbage was turning to mush in the pan...the Mac and Cheese was like the knock off blue box...eeeeewww! The shrimp sauce they had for the grits had good flavor but the shrimp was grossly over cooked...my friends ate the fried chicken and BBQ Ribs and said that they enjoyed it. I was looking for down home Grandma esque cooking. I feel sorry for anyone who grew up with a southern Grandma that cooked like that. The Jazz was very nice, but it was a waste of money for that buffet...I would be happy to chat with someone and give them some pointers on how to make things better...they need some consulting!
A wonderful piece of Greensboro history #quaint
Great comfort food and atmosphere. Jazz too!!
It is wonderful, the food is excellent, the music was great, and the owners and their daughter were amazing
Awesome place
Food okay, one member of staff gave us attitude but another member made up for that. I wish I could remember her name but I think it began with a P? Too long ago to be sure..
Great atmosphere, good food, good company, good music, and most of all good service!
Assume piece of history
