The tour was very informative, we all very much enjoyed it. The house was full of wonderful antique period pieces. Cant wait to see his home in Lockerbie! Highly recommend!
The tour guides are knowledgeable and eager to learn new information about James Whitcomb Riley.
Wonderful museum with a lot of actual artifacts from the Riley family. Tour guides are knowledgeable and eager to learn new information about James Whitcomb Riley, his family and the properties as it comes to light.
They riley boyhood home is a fantastic museum and the hostess are very knowledgeable and entertaining . Its well worth the visit
Beautiful gardens open in the back too. Can visit anytime.
This was a great place to visit and learn about James Whitcomb Riley. So much history in one place! They are making improvements on the property and the tour experience will be even better soon. It was really interesting to see and stand in the very place that was the inspiration of some of the most well known poetry ever written. There is even an unpublished, handwritten manuscript hanging on the wall! Great place!
Very beautiful and organize museum but staffs were not welcoming and accommodating.
Great place to learn something but staffs were not friendly and not welcoming.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the James Whitcomb Riley Museum and birth home. I would highly suggest this to anybody who lived in Indiana. Its wonderful to be able to step back in time and actually be in home where a native Hoosier grew up and became so famous.
We were given a great tour if you are in the area this is a must visit, tour guide really knows the history of the owners of the home
I love this place. I remember walking here from Harris Elementary and exploring for a field trip. I now have taken my children here and they have experienced the goblin eyes and the closet! It is such a wonderful experience to share my experience with my children. A placw that time has truly let be. Such history.
Our guide went above and beyond. Very cool stories.
This museum is a great learning opportunity. The tour was very informative as well attentive to all of our questions. I would highly recommend a visit.
Nice museum, friendly tour guides. Pretty landscaping and gardens.
Very interesting, knowledgeable dosent. Save 2 hours for the tour. They are increasing the area and it was great. Helped us afterward, we were excited to go and left something on in the car. They had jumper cables....
Interesting look into the past and the making of poetry.
Great place to go on a rainy day.
Very worth the modest price for a personal tour. So much of the items in the home are original. Nicest staff of any museum Ive been in.
Really clean and interesting as far as the outside and the gift shop...last tour was already in progress so I didnt see house. Closing at 4pm in summer seems bit early.
Nice place and very fun tour.
Hostesses are very knowledgeable, kind, and informative. The Riley Home and Mr. Riley himself are worth your time to see and hear about. What a great piece of history.
Reasonable price, great tour, beautiful spiral walnut staircase. Watch out for the goblins! LOL
Really neat history!!
Pretty cool house, it wasnt open yet so I just walked around the grounds and read some of the outside historical markers. If Im ever in Greenfield again, I hope to stop in and look around the house
