Scout Lake Park

5 stars for us walking our dogs, but it lacks playgrounds & other kids amenities

This was my first visit here and I really enjoyed it. Came with my kids and grandkids. They played on the playground equipment, walked some trails, went around the lake. Saw ducks and turtles and even had some deer run by us.

Seems like a decent park for walking. The pond was pretty but not very good for fishing. There is way too much growth on the water so youre forced to stand on a small crowded (at the time) fishing pier. Would be nice to utilize more of the shore line since its a decent size pond.There were a lot of ducks which were quite friendly due to the multiple people feeding them.

Beautiful park around the Greendale area. Close to my parents house. Usually make my way to this park when walking my dog. Solid place for pictures with the family. This park has a decent playground and area to do some calisthenics! Also, if you like Pokemon go some poke stops are in the park!

Nice double playground. Great path around the pond with excellent hiking spots off the main trail. People seemed to enjoy fishing there. Would be good for a jog, hike,or bike ride.

The fishing used to be great for taking kids to fish off the pier and catch a ton of panfish. But in recent years the fishing has gotten so bad I dont bother. Its very pretty and has a nice paved trail around the lake.

Seems like a good place to fish but you can only fish from the pier because of the weeds surrounding the shoreline. This only allows a handful of people to fish at once and there is no boating on this pond as well. If they maintained the pond a little better more people could enjoy it.

So first thing to know is it has a great lake with a trail you can walk around to clear your head and it is such a great little park.

Great little pond with a paved perimeter and modern pier. This place gets crowded fast but is stocked with trout and other game fish. Well maintained trails, but watch out for poison ivy in the spring.

Clean park. Pretty sights for taking photos of nature. Really digging the exercise station.

The playground is good because it’s right by a lake and lakes are my favorite.

Water isnt as clear as it once was. Dont know if thats because of seasonal changes, or growing algea and vegetation. Still a romantic place to go for the view, for a hike, or for a picnic.

Wonderful half mile path around the lake.

Its a relaxing place to walk and enjoy nature. However, some of the pathway around the pond is in need of repair.

Nice fishing spot. Close to a lot of other parks and gold courses etc. You can get a lot of pan fish from the pier.

My grandson really likes the playground and always try to meet some new kids. They also have a pier to do a little fishing.

Scout Lake Park is a really nice little park! Scout Lake is more like a pond, but does have a nice big fishing pier. Ive fished here a few times but only caught small panfish, which makes it great for beginners and children

It was just absolutely stunning. I thoroughly loved this beautiful park! Breathtakingly gorgeous!

My Husband has been looking for new parks to walk at and enjoy. I fell in love with this place instantly. Cannot wait to explore it more throughout the new year.

I love bringing my pup to walk here. He loves it.

My backyard backs up to scout Lake Im Lakeview Drive wish they would bring ice skating back great place for kids

Nice trails to hike. Public access to lake from a parking lot just off Loomis.

A nice little park on the outskirts of the city with fishing pond and dock, walking trails through the woods.

Went for fishing but caught nothing. So my rating is only for fishing(not the actual park)

Several paved and unpaved trail paths to explore with family, friends, or the dog. The lake is charming and picturesque. A great place for some exercise or just sitting on one of the several benches to enjoy nature.

Has a decent trail to hike around the lake. Decent place to take your kid fishing without needing a boat.

A nice paved path around the lake for easy walking, with some side trails that the kids and the dog likes to explore! A dock to fish off of and a play ground to play on makes this a nice spot to chill with the kids. Come and enjoy.

This is a really nice park. It is quiet, the trails are really well maintained during the not so cold months. During the winter, the paved trails are a little dodgy because of the run off from the hills/bluffs. I would suggest ice cleats during that time.The lower trails are pretty clear except for the aforementioned ice runoff. The upper trails are not clear, but that just adds to the adventure. I have yet to meet an unfriendly person at this park. It is great for taking the dog for a walk, just please follow the rules and keep the dogs on a leash, and clean up after them.This park is truly a hidden gem in Milwaukee county.

Fun fishing spot.

Took my son fishing here quite a few times. Just enough small ones to keep him occupied. Would be nice if the bathrooms were always open for small children.

It was a nice. Place where you can go fishing biking and walking around the lake collecting pine cones. And to bring your dogs to. And picnic.

Perfect park for walking the dog

Nice place to get in a walk/run/hike or bike ride. There is an asphalt path the is approximately 1mile around the pond. There are off coarse hills to climb. There is seating benches all around the pond. Bring a fishing pole if you like to fish because there are some nice size fish to be caught. Also, there is a pier you can use.Bathrooms are available when the building is open. There are also tables to use to for a picnic. Enjoy!!

The lake has a nice walking path that circles the lake, a nice fishing dock, great for the kids.

Wonderful for walking. Level path around lake. Paths with incline branch off from lake path. Free parking. No boating allowed, but fishing seems to be okay. Nice jetee out into the lake with benches.

Nice trail for walks/ running a pound with a deck for handicapped and elderly parking kinda stinks and dnr. Keeps the pond from chocking out from weeds

Very picturesque lake with a nice walking path all around it in a wooded area. They have bathrooms there too. Just the right distance, you can walk several times around within an hour.

Was an awesome place to walk fish hike and picnic. Also not so crowded as most city locations!

Used to visit this place as a kid. Lots of great memories here. The paved trail is nice for families and older people. You can rent the pavilion for parties. Fishing here isnt great but I have watched people catch bass and panfish.

Big, clean, peaceful, spread out park. Lots of areas to fish. Great trail and path for walks. Play area tucked away from the rest of the park and a building for parties, ect. And theres always an abundance of wildlife to enjoy seeing.

Trash Lake, its sad and neglected. Embarrassment!!

Scout Lake is a wonderful wooded place and you can walk around the lake itself there is path and theres always friendly people there the beer garden been there

Peacefully beautiful...

The lake is probably 50% choked out with weeds now. Ive never seen it this bad. Theres no fish worth catching and the parking lot is atrocious. This place could be a gem of the suburbs but it is neglected by Milwaukee County.

Its a gem in the middle of our little village.
