A hidden gem not too far out of Queens. This park is in immaculate shape. The grass is soft and green and nicely manicured. There are dozens of benches throughout the park and lots of shade from the tree cover making it a comfortable place to be on a hot day. Also hosts a tribute firefighter inspired playground that all kids can enjoy, as well as a sprayground. It was busy for a long island park but everything is so spread out that it is very comfortable.

A great park in Great Neck. They have a wide variety of jungle gyms, shuffle board, and sprinklers to play in.

Parks are relaxing as always, only if you block out the teenagers

I like this park but 1 flaw..... THESE PEOPLE DO NOT WEAR MASKS DURING COVID-19 WHILE IN THE PARK. THEY ALSO DO NOT SOCIAL DISTANCE IN 2020. Otherwise,this park is fine.

My son-in law was honored by Alert Fire Co.for his efforts at 9/11 looking for remains of his brother fire fighters. They put a plaque up with his name. He passed on 11/30/2018 from Cancer which he caught after spending 6 months at the sight.

Beautiful park in the heart of Great Necks commercial section. Lots of space for running around and picnics. A dedicated playset area for kids. In the summer they have water fountains to cool off and play in.

Beautiful park with outdoor playground, swings area, large gazebo and water sprinkler area thats open for use during summer. it has about 30 benches in park and 10 tables. good spot for small gatherings and its very safe. people here are friendly also

Very quilt park near the center of great neck. Friendly people around . There are a few firefighter theme play sets (sliders, etc) for kids.

Theres not much to say about this park other than it is a park, there are trees, and parking is not easy. I suppose for residence of Great Neck its nice but as a visitor it was annoying to try and find a place to park. It is conveniently located near a shopping center and many apartments so residents probably have a better idea of the benefits, but for a random Traveler there are better places to visit in Nassau County

A great family park with a simple yet beautiful memorial to local fallen firefighters.A great playground for kids of all ages, benches, and a gazebo.

The kids love this firefighter themed park. Be careful not to leave your belongings unattended on benches while watching your kids. My cooler bag was stolen by a woman with a small child! She and her child were the only other 2 people at the park at the time besides from our friend. They kept crowding around the bench where I had my cooler which I thought weird but didnt think theyd take it. I turned around to look at my son and my cooler was gone as well as the woman.

They were worry about the rain, so We ended up in the center, it was great.

Love the fire fighter themes. Sprinkler park is a definite plus. Lots of grass to run on. Ill always have a soft spot for the veranda.
