Solid 4.5 stars. Entertainers were fully committed to their roles and worked the room the entire evening. Dialogue was quick and filled with jokes and some corniness.The food was average which is why I went with 4.5 stars. Portions for the dessert were small but understandable given food inflation all abound. Cokes will set you back $2.50 while tea and coffee are included with the meal.The entertainment, however, made up for the foods failure to impress. Post evening, the team at Texas Star Dinner Theater was great about taking photos with everyone.

This was a really fun as entertaining time. I really enjoyed the show and the performers were hilarious. It was fun to see them roll with the crowd and themselves. If you do go please, please read the about the theater etiquette. Let the actors do their jobs, a little back and forth is fun but dont keep going please. We had a guy are our show that was almost unbearable. The staff was very professional and got things back on track. I would definitely go again.

The show was great! The actors were funny and engaging. The tables were well spaced apart. Actors wore clear masks during the show. Food was yummy and drinks were tasty. We look forward to coming there again.

We went on a Friday night & was seated near the bar. The waitress was top notch & the actors did a great job. The actors were humble but very fun-they really go out of their way to pull people in to the show & ensure your fully immersed. Our table didnt get pulled in but that was fine-we really enjoyed the show. This is a fun dinner theater experience -i highly recommend

My husband and I went for Valentine’s Day 2020. The prices were increased due to the holiday which I of course naturally expect, but I would like to think that the price increase would mean a much better experience. My husband and I were seated directly across from the door where they “brought the food in” (as we were told). There was a constant rush of cold air blowing in, making it extremely uncomfortable to sit for over two hours. Furthermore, every time the door opened there was loud dance music playing which made it extremely distracting to watch the actors. (Apparently there is a restaurant, “Chill” behind the theater where you can go to use the bathroom and I’m guessing this is where the music was coming from.) Additionally, we were seated at the very front of the room where most of the acting did not take place, making it very uncomfortable to crane my neck to watch for over two hours. In my opinion, if this is the case, seats should be priced accordingly, not all seats are created equal at this theater. My food was awful!!! My husband enjoyed his beef entree, but my “chicken cordon bleu” was so salty and peppery that I was unable to eat it. The dessert choices were a dry chocolate cake or cheesecake. The cheesecake had a gel-like strawberry topping on the side. For this price range, I just don’t think that the expectation of a few fresh strawberries is unreasonable. The gel just looked unappetizing and thrown together. The presentation and taste of the food were just unacceptable. I understand that we were paying more for the show than the food, but paying almost $200 for this is nauseating to me. Furthermore, an announcement was made during the middle of the show that gratuity was not included in the ticket price. It was also mentioned in the program. It just seems like this place is out to make money. I am so disappointed and wish that we had a completely different experience. I truly wish we had spent $100 on a fancy dinner at a find dining restaurant and then used the second $100 to see a show somewhere else. In my opinion, highly overpriced and overrated. Again, extremely disappointed. I hope people read this honest review and consider their options before spending so much money for a night out.

Great show and decent dinner. Make sure to get your tickets very early. Most shows are sold out. Adjacent to Chill Bar you can show up an hour early and watch a game and drink before the show me

I do wish the non alcoholic drinks were on the menu so I could see the prices because I didnt know sodas were an additional charge, but thats just a minor thing! The serving size was ridiculously small, I was still hungry when we left. The dessert was terrible as well!Honestly I think they forgot about our table because we were served only after mentioning to the waitress that everyone else had finished eating (even guests that came in after our table) and we still hadnt been served. Ah yes and unsurprisingly our food was cold, not even warm just cold! They should consider a new caterer.Honestly, I had a great time watching the show but I would not return.We are however going to try other dinner theater venues.

We hosted our company Holiday dinner at this venue; terrific job by the cast/crew to make it a memorable event. Had everyone laughing, food was great, highly recommended.

My wife surprised me with this place for dinner. She was nervous because she didnt know if Id like it or not. It was so much fun. I really wanted to solve the murder mystery since I fancy myself a bit of a sleuth from my old scooby doo days. I got into the show so much that on a restroom break when the air freshener went off over my head I thought theyd be solving my murder next lol. The food was presented well on the plate and tasted decent. If youre looking for an excellent meal this isnt the place. If you love live entertainment with your meal you cant go wrong visiting this place.

Good show. Nice dinner. I loved how actors interact with the audience. Good service. The only reason for removal of one star is vegetarian has only one option. Since they take order ahead of time they should be able to do more options for vegetarians.

Meet new people and accuse them of murder over dinner and dessert.If fun characters and silly, interactive comedy is your thing, this is where you want to spend the evening with some friends. And if youre introverted, no worries, chances are slim youll get singled out from 100 people... unless you have questionable fashion sense, too... in which case this might be the cure to get you out of your shell! Theres always the bar, too.The dining experience is cozy, and you dont have to move once youve found your seat. Its full service and the dinner and dessert are delicious from the restaurant next door.Folks are typically dressed from casual to date night, so feel free to be comfortable, or dress in character if you want to be part of the action - just try not to upstage the actors, one of them is a murderer after all.Youll want to park on the North side of the building in the train yard. There are plenty of spaces and you can drive in from either direction on Main St.Its another great spot in an endearing downtown Grapevine area, so make it an evening and take a stroll down Main.

The venue is very cramped and it was obnoxiously loud - this was even before the show began. The actors were entertaining although at times the overacting was a bit much. I got picked on by the French character but I held my own and even made the guests laugh. I had the eggplant parmesan with pasta and seasonal veggies which could have fed four people compared to my husbands pesto marinated chicken and mashed potatoes which barely fed one. Overall, the food was pretty good, the entertainment had us laughing most of the time and the mystery solving portion made it fun. (I was surprised at how many tables guessed the right killer). It was a fun way to celebrate my birthday.

Weve been three times! The show is always amazing. Be ready to laugh a lot and go ready to have a joke or two cracked at your expense. So much fun and a perfect fit for Grapevine!

The show was excellent, perfect combination of self deprecating campiness with a still intriguing and thoughtful story line. Kept the whole house laughing and interested. The food was very good, better than expected. Service was quick and responsive, my iced tea was empty only once all night for less than a minute. I will return for future shows and thoroughly enjoyed the night.

Me and my husband went there 6/16/2017 for our Anniversary. We enjoyed the show and they have great acting characters they are very friendly. Its a very friendly environment with all workers. We had a great waitress Savannah. The food was really good we had the chicken fried steak came with red mash potatoes and steamed squash it had salad you can eat while waiting on main course. The show was great we really enjoyed everything about this place. If you are looking for nice place to enjoy a nice dinner and show come here. The show is never the same to guess the murder mystery. We had table that we share with another couple that was there for there Anniversary we all guessed the murder mystery, but there was other tables that guess it and they put all names in hat drawled from the hat. Well...our name wasnt drawled from hat but you have choice buy shirt for $12.00. You can take pictures at the end of the show with characters. We will be coming back again in future.

I would give this 5 stars if the food wasnt terrible and I didnt have to sit with strangers. The performances were great and really funny. The food however...they should have just not served it. The chicken was dry as the Sahara and the chicken fried steak was mediocre at best. Plus my husband and I went alone and had to sit with an awkward couple. The woman was pushy and the conversation was forced. I guess the only thing good was the performance. I would go again but only if I went with enough people to fill my own table and I ate dinner somewhere else first.

Went to see a production of Mein Shaft. The consensus at our table of 6 was that the food was alright, but could have been better. I had no personal complaints because I bought my ticket from a friend who ordered a meal I wouldnt have gotten.The show itself was great. Our table was right in the middle so the action was all around us the entire time and we stayed engaged easily throughout. Family friendly, though there was some good bits in there for the adults. Overall the actors and staff seemed to really enjoy the work they were doing which made our evening that much better. Itd be nice if it wasnt as cramped though.

Amazing experience! The cast was on point the entire time. I dont know how to describe the relationship between the actors and our group any better than by using the word camaraderie! We were a fairly large group for our credit union Christmas party and we had a blast! The food was good and the service from the wait staff was exceptional! It didnt even feel like 3 hours had past when the last act ended. I think we were all wanting more and will definitely plan on coming back with family and friends to see new plays.

This is a great experience. The actors and plays are hilarious. Weve been twice to two different shoes and they both were great. The food is good but not great and the dining room is a little crowded, but overall it is a great evening.

Had a great time! My wife and I went there for our anniversary. You are seated with people you do not know. We got to know the people seated with us. The actors were good and mixed well with everyone. Food was a good portion and tasted good. The actors are not on stage, the play takes place amongst the diners.

Average food. Very pleasant actors and staff. Good murder mystery play. Funny overall plot. Fun way to spend the evening.

I cant begin to say how great a time we had. The actors and actresses are great and they pull the audience into the fun. HIGHLY recommend it. Well worth every penny.

We enjoyed the show the acting was good. There were gnats inside the building made it a little bit difficult to enjoy our meal. We were on vacation and wanted to see a live show it was a mystery murder Dinner Show. My table was one of several that figured out the mystery and who the murderer was.

Dinner was okay, actors were good and you can tell they love what they are doing, but I thought it was VERY over priced. Tickets for 2 people ($60 each), 2 adult drinks each ($8 each), tax and tip it was almost a $200 night! Wouldnt recommend it to friends, but it wasnt terrible.
