We have been here countless times, and will actually be returning today. We have spent quiet a bit of money because they always have random things we need. Sarah at the blade bar is very awesome as well. Bought a few knives from her. Also the gun counters usually have a good selection and the optics case always has some goodies.

The Gun range was great, but the best thing about this range was the people that work there! I have two daughters both going for their LTC soon and are fairly new shooters, which we asked if one of the range masters would be kind and give any advice or help as they see fit, a range master named Dustin offered to watch and coach them and offered to continue to help any time we came back in if he was working and work with them. Four practice sessions later they were ready to take their test and both of my daughters passed almost with perfect test and range scores. So I would like to say thanks to, Dustin, Collin, the clerks and other staff that all helped my family with learning to shoot, you might have just help save one of my daughters life in the future.

Lots of high end inventory well displayed. Friendly and helpful staff. Good amenities. Kris in the gun range was helpful and polite. Staff let me look at all the optics with out making me feel pressured or hurried. A+ establishment from my experience so far.

I’ve been shopping here since they were at the old location and the only thing that has changed is the size and the additional ammenities. They may look like a big box store but they still have been able to maintain their mom and pop store feel. The customer service is exceptional and they always seem to be able to go above and beyond.

I was searching for a hard to find optic plate and he found one in the back (probably the last on in the DFW AREA) after he couldnt one online or with your suppliers. CODY was really busy with multiple customers but helped everyone including me. GREAT SERVICE AS ALWAYS!!!!!!

Was thrilled to find this shop so close to me after doing some research I wanted to sell a few pieces and get some parts and other items. Pulling up to the place I was impressed with how it looked, walking in I was greeted at the door and was told where I could go,. Unfortunately that is where the good experience ended, I waited in line at the Gunsmith counter for 4-5 minutes while the helped the person there before me. I had no problem with that at all as I would expect the same attention. However when it was my turn I walked up to the counter and placed my items on it and the person behind the counter walked away without a word to me. Several other employees ( at least 7 ) walked by as well and not a single one asked if I was being taken care of or to say we will be just a minute. This went on for 8 additional minutes at this time I picked up my items to walk out. The greeter at the door was still trying to be kind even when I told them they had horrible customer service. Once I said I will take my business elsewhere is when someone took notice. Too little too late.Such a shame the store is impressive looking inside and out but customer service is important to me and I really dont see myself going back with how horrible it is at this facility.I will just find someplace else to do my future business with. I had 5 pieces that I was looking to trade / sell along with my list of parts and additional items that I wanted to purchase.

Being a Marine Corps officer for 30 plus years I have been to and around many gun ranges and businesses across the US. The professionalism, knowledge and down right exceptional customer service is second to none. As soon as you walk in, their employees absolutely make you feel welcome without being pushy at all. They genuinely want to ensure you enjoy your experience there. It was amazing to see the owner / operators mingle with the public and give their undivided attention. To them to answer any questions or concerns. Truly remarkable. Ive also been to the full auto Friday a few times and the experiences are just fun...highly recommend this place to any gun person or consumer for that matter. I dont have enough good things to say about the whole staff at TGE! From the moment you walk in you are greeted by the friendliest front desk ladies (Michelle, Rachel, Taylor, and others I dont know by name). Then to range check-in where everyone (Kevin, Rachel, Ben, and others I dont know by name) is so friendly and kind!Colin has been such a pleasure to work with for training. Colin takes the time with customers to ensure that they feel comfortable and have the knowledge they need before going into the range. You can tell Colin is knowledgable in his craft, and he goes the extra mile to make sure you can be the best shooter you can be! I know when I first started, I wasnt the greatest, but with Colins instruction, I am so more confident while operating different firearms. I can also so I am away better shooter now with his help. Colin is an amazing instructor and goes above and beyond to take that persons best interest to heart, and I look forward to more lessons with him. Colin is friendly, kind, and patient. TGE you did great with hiring your staff!

I came in last week trading my 380 for a new 9mm and really am happy with my new gun. They gave me a fair value on my old gun. Folks were really nice and treated people with great respect. Nice and clean store with excellent ranges. Highly recommended.Update Nov. 28, 2020With Covid-19 and social unrest going on, you have seen the price of ammo has gone skyrocket from about $14/box of 50 to $40/box or even $60/box for 9mm. I am so glad that TGE has put their customer above their profit. Yes their ammo pricing has gone up a bit, but its nothing in compare to other shops both local and online. I love this place

Nice range facilities, wish I could say something nice about most of the employees. On multiple occasions, after walking in and browsing around all the different products, and even asking for help, not once was I approached by an employee or sales associate or offered assistance. Maybe they just see an Asian and think I was the one that imported this pandemic to the U.S., I dont know. Certainly not what I would expect of people that work in a customer service type industry. Also noticed quite a few being very lax with their face masks. I used to shop here, now Ill buy my stuff for my toys elsewhere.

These guys are the best. Fast service. Great selection and OMG they actually have AMMO right now. When everybody is out of ammo, they have it. Have done business with them for years. The store itself is cool, but a lot of the merchandise is marked up to an insane amount, over $100 on a pelican gun case I bought elsewhere. There are plenty of employees however nobody seems to offer their assistance, even after going there on multiple occasions the result was the same, they just walk right by you without even making eye contact. Thought I was the problem until I talked to two other people that had the exact same experience.

I absolutely recommend TGE for EVERYTHING firearm related. Kevin is probably if not the best employee they have and is a great asset to the company! Super knowledgeable and his customer service is world class! Dont get me wrong the entire staff is, but Kevin goes the extra mile.

Rachel is incredibly knowledgeable about equipment, inventory and services offered. By the time we left, we had spent 45 minutes taking in a tremendous amount of new information. We went here after hearing about a Halloween event for kids. We had an absolute blast. We brought our son, our friends, and parents. Every generation loved it. We got to carve a pumpkin with knives and power tools which was a huge hit. Then we went inside and were shocked to see how much inventory they have of gear, knives, and guns. This place is stunning. We rented a lane and everyone was very professional, extremely kind, and very accommodating. There is a great place to sit and watch for people not participating too. It was the first time for our son and my dad to shoot a gun and I don’t know who was more excited afterwards. What a great memory for our family. We left with a bunch of candy and a Glock 19. It doesn’t get much better then that on Halloween in Texas. We’ll be back!

This place is great. I’ve been here before COVID, but today when I stopped by I noticed that people who were shopping were not wearing face masks. The employees didn’t seem to mind either since they were helping them. I had to leave quickly because I did not feel safe. I hope they change this or do something about it.

My experience with customer service here was terrible. I walked in ready to buy a hand gun that day. I walked into the store and looked around. After waiting patiently for 15 minutes, not even being acknowledged by any employee behind the counter (not even so much as an Ill be with you in a moment, I tracked down an employee and asked for help and told them I was ready to buy a handgun today.This employee then proceeded to ask someone to help me and they told him they were, and I quote, I am busy now and walked off.Ten more minutes go buy and I finally get some help.The weapon I wanted had to be special ordered, no problem. The employee told me his sales manger, and I wish I knew his name so I could call him out, would contact me. I asked when and he said he want sure.Three days go by and no call from the sales manager. I call the store. I explained my situation to the young lady, she was extremely nice, and promised me she would personally deliver my message to the sales manager and he would call me. Great, at this point I really wasnt upset. Im cutting them some slack.Now its been more than a week and I still havent heard from the sales manager.I am truly appalled by the customer service. I work in a customer service type business and would fire a sales manager over something like this. Im sure this review will be over looked and I will be ignored just like I was at the store. COVID will be blamed and they will say how busy they are and not accept responsibility. I invite this company to contact me and make this right.

Overall, this is an excellent range. They are off to an amazing start, with the place having been established not too long ago. They have a friendly and very knowledgeable staff, solid prices on ammunition, and excellent inventory. Even considering the craziness of these last couple of months, I still found what I was looking for, and thats saying something.Their rental fleet is second to none (probably the best in north Texas), once you consider the fact that many exotic weapon systems are included as options. Its not just stuff of the Eugene Stoner variety within these walls... I went in today, and was not disappointed. Definitely looking forward to next time.Plus...they have a Minigun. I mean, wow. Didnt think Id see one of THOSE to rent. I love my state.

Texas Gun Experience...The name speaks for itself!!We had about 8 people in our group here, all renting machine guns for the first time ever! This memory not only was amazing because of the gun selection they had, but the knowledge and support they provided was incredible and they made it safe and fun! I cant say I have ever had an experience at a gun range that can compare to what I had here.10/10 recommend!!

I ordered 2 boxes of bullets online (Federal HST 124 grain, hollow point) that I could not find in any store. First I was surprised they had them in stock, second- they shipped within 3 days whereas all other online retailers are weeks behind, third- they were packed very well and withstood the delivery travel to my state. Thank you for the quality product in a timely manner! I will purchase from Texas Gun Experience again.

Honestly blown away with both the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff. In particular Trevor T. spent almost an hour walking me through options I hadn’t considered. He let me ask questions and also asked me questions. He was able to then tailor what he showed me down by the answers I gave him. Very happy with my first experience here and will be coming back. The facility looked amazing but even more impressive was the customer experience Trevor provided.

This place is great. I’ve been to several gun stores across the metroplex recently and none of them had the wide range of ammo that Texas Gun Experience has in stock.The pricing is competitive with other Local gun stores. I’ve seen some reviews where people were saying that TGE was acting like Cheaper Than Dirt and that’s pretty unfair. Most everyone has raised their prices in the last 6 months but working in the gun world, I know that the prices are being raised from the distributors and manufacturers. There’s really not a lot of margin on ammo right now.The range is really nice and the store is REALLY clean.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve never had to go “find” an employee to help me out (and I’ve been in there dozens of times). If they don’t know the answer to my question, they usually lean on some of the more experienced employees for an answer.

I have stopped in multiple times after checking online to see if a item is in stock and never have i left with what i went there to get.. very nice store but really should update your inventory online. Or show if its in stock somewheres other than your store..

Great experiences almost every time Ive gone. I go with a friend who is an experienced shooter and chose this range a couple months ago due to the convenient location. This is a new hobby that I just picked up a month ago so I figured Id go with and see if I liked it. The first and second time had me really debating if this would be the range for me for quite a few reasons. However, every time after we have been greeted by Rachel, shes very informative and welcoming, she made it comfortable for me and my three children that now have memberships to call this our home range. I make it a point to go when she is there because I know it will be a pleasant experience.

Highly recommend the Intro to Handgun Class, taught by Colin. The class was a very good beginner’s experience Class focused on safety and proper handgun handling before firing an assortment of handguns at the range. Colin went above and beyond to make the class a informative and enjoyable experience.

Was in town for a convention with my team and we thought this would be a fun event. We were right! It was absolutely a highlight of our trip. We are not all guys but the staff were great, set up the guns and made sure each of us we knew what we were doing. They handled the guns and all we had to do was aim and shoot. If you have not tried a fully automatic weapon before it is really a rush. The folks here make you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door.

I was looking for a firearm and was referred by a friend to check out TGE, after she scold me, with some profound words of being basically a knucklehead! This was after I went to many sporting goods stores that had nothing, rather than a specialized gun shop like TGE, glad she scold me in the right direction! LOLI met Robert and Joe and they were professional and assisted me in purchasing a great firearm, check them out.

Look I am not against any person for profit, however charging 30 dollars for 9mm ammo just because they could isn’t right. I have shopped around and when I have found it I paid for Blazer ammo from Academy Sports and Outdoors 18.99, and it’s the same ammo they were selling 9/25/2020.Every time I see someone price gouging I am reminded of Cheeper Than Dirt and their schemes!I see a bunch of people just getting in line and buying it! It bothers me to see people just flocking to this place to contribute to the absolute lunacy of price gouging! This maybe a free market, but it doesn’t make it right!

So before I actually came to TGE, I emailed them and asked some basic questions and they were responsive and informative. When I got there is when the magic happened, Ive never shot a gun in my life and they set me up with the tools I needed to make sure I walked out of there feeling confident in what I learned and ambitious to try more. I cant go on enough about how cool the staff is too, the woman ringing me up recommended a Glock 44 to try first and that was a 5 star recommendation in itself. The 15 minute introduction to your firearm was awesome!! It wasnt even 15 minutes and it didnt have to be, the Safety director was clear as day with how to handle the weapon and I couldnt thank them more. In 1 visit to this place i now feel confident in handling a firearm. Ill be back asap!

This place was a blast! My wife and I had a layover on our way back to Canada and we had never used any firearms. These guys took the time to show us how to safely handle load and shoot. They were friendly and helpful the whole way through and Im happy to say we had a great time!

This place is awesome. My wife & I live in Grapevine so it’s also convenient. I took my LTC class online then went to the range for the proficiency testing. Colin is the instructor & he is absolutely awesome. Colin doesn’t make you feel any pressure for whoever is shooting for the first time. Colin also makes the class entertaining too. Went here to get my rifle worked by their gunsmith. The employees were nice and very helpful. The facility is very nice and clean with a huge selection of guns, ammo, and accessories. I decided to use their range, the range officers were nice and respectful. The only issue I had was the waiver kiosk iPads, half of them didnt work. Regardless, a great place to shoot if you are in the grapevine, trophy club, flower mound area!

Purchased several boxes of defensive ammo in multiple calibers and a new (in box) Ruger 57, none of which is currently available elsewhere. Facility is clean, illumination is great and customer service was excellent, as was my shopping experience.

Stopped by this place because of its close proximity. The staff was VERY friendly and prices arent bad AT ALL for lane rentals. Obviously, the facility is top notch as it was built not to long ago. The name is fitting because it is definitely an ”experience”. A great experience at that! This place seems to be off to a great start since its opening so I look forward to going back. Whether you are a gun nut like me or not, I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

This place and the people here are amazing and it was obvious why they have a 5.0 star rating! I wanted to use a date night here to propose to my girlfriend and they were more than helpful! When I told them my plan all they wanted to do was help and make it as special as possible, which they did! They even reached out to me several times to see what else they could do and to make sure everything was in order. It wasn’t something extra I paid for and they did everything just to help out and service me. They had the target with will you marry me written on it all set up and ready and even had TV’s displaying congratulations with our names and took pictures without me even asking. Aside from the proposal, their service was great! Anyone looking for a nice gun range with quality people and service, this is the place to go and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! $30 for a box of 9mm range ammo with a limit of one box? This company, like many others, is taking advantage of people during the BS pandemic. Price gouging is a sure way to lose loyal customers!Edit: to the owner that replied to my review, you are lying or your employees are! I spoke on the phone with one of the range staff and they told me the limit of boxes was one. As far as your excuse for price gouging, there is no acceptable reason the rip people off. Never thought TGE would stoop to the level of Cheaper Than Dirt.

I could not have been more impressed. I’m new gun owner. They made me feel safe and provided much needed guidance. I can’t wait to attend some of their defense classes.

Went in there with my girl to purchase her very first pistol. Now I personally am not a glock man because I just do not like how they feel in my hand but they were all out of what I prefer (canik). That being said the gentleman behind the counter was incredibly patient as I took the time to explain the weapon to her. He also tossed in some knowledge that I wasn’t aware of. We enjoyed our experience so much that I buckled and bought two glocks and a new knife. Me being me I had to fact check him when I left and he was spot on. Pricing was fair knowledge was helpful and all in all the place was very clean and well organized. We will be utilizing there members only range over the weekend. I look forward to continuing business with them. Oh did I mention they gave me very little issues with buying as a new resident of Texas. All in all a great experience.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The place feels high end, but the service felt apathetic my first time there. Ive since had more pleasant experiences and would be comfortable becoming a member, but the lack of safety measures during COVID blows my mind. Not a single employee wearing a mask.

Me and my wife thought the place was fantastic. Friendly people very helpful. We will go back and do all of our gun needs there.i recommend it to all gun owners.

I came in about 8pm on Friday and needed help sighting in my rifle at 50yds since this was my first bolt action rifle. Everyone here were extremely great and extremely helpful. I really appreciate Robert for helping me with my adjustments on my scope. There was another staff member out on the range who really helped out too with my scope turret, I don’t remember his name but Robert knows his name and I just want to say thank you to both of them for all the help they provided. I will definitely be back and bringing all my friends and family!!

They get 1 Star for the prices at this range, they are absolutely astronomical. My local range provides targets, plugs and glasses. I have never been to a range that charges you for basic safety equipment what a ripoff. Most local ranges also include a free lane if you rent pistols, the only charge is to buy their ammo. So let’s add up the cost for a local range. 10-20$ for gun rentals and 10-20$ for ammo. BS Texas boutique range. 25$ per lane, 10-30$ for guns, 10-20$ for ammo, 5-10$ for targets, 1$ for plugs and 1$ for safety glasses. The range and facilities are nice but definitely not worth the cost.

Man this place is AWESOME! You have to come check it out. The ranges are super nice, retail floor is stocked wall to wall, and the blade bar is phenomenal. I’ve been working with Colin on training and he is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to firearms and shooting. I guarantee if they don’t have it, they’ll bend over backwards to find it and get it for you. Every employee I’ve met has been super helpful so come check this place out!

Great overall experience!! Facility is first class, staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful with wonderful customer service. I had very limited knowledge of guns, safety and shooting when I walked in the first day. I took 2 private lessons with Colin. He started with the basics of how my gun worked, taught me all about safety and had me shooting pretty decent by the end of my second lesson. I also took the LTC class and test with Colin. Ended up scoring a 245 on the shooting portion of the test and a 100 on the written test. I give Colin 100% of the credit to getting me to that level of success in such a short period of time. I am completely comfortable in understanding how my gun works and the safety measures operating it. I understand the Texas laws and my responsibilities as a gun owner. Thanks Colin and Texas Gun!!

Havent used the range yet, but have used their FFL services. $25 is a pretty decent price for a transfer around these parts and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend them to anyone looking.

Went there today for Full Auto Friday, it was my first experience with them and their range, it was fantastic. Clean, open retail space, great selection of products, friendly and well educated staff. If youre looking for a new place to shoot, look no further.

Havent shot here yet but the grand opening was awesome. There were reps from Rugged Suppressors, Treyarch Guns, Wilson Combat, Benelli, Pulsar, Steiner, B&T, FN, and more. They had food trucks and live music. Plus a well stocked retail store, a huge gun rental area, AND MACHINE GUNS!

My first EVER experience with a gun was with Texas Gun Experience! The whole thing was absolutely amazing, from friendly people on the front desk, to the training, and of course the shooting! I had never even held a gun in my hand until this day (Im from Australia) and everyone there was so patient and helpful with me.Alex was especially kind! He spent a lot of time making sure I was comfortable with each gun and stayed so patient with me even when I asked the same question 10 times. Cant wait to go back! Make sure you ask for Alex!

The staff is very friendly. There is a great selection of guns for sale and a great selection to rent as well. The ranges are extremely well ventilated and there are hand washing stations available to clean up after shooting. Its not the cheapest place in town, but its very worth it.

Although Ive visited the retail store before, my first range experience was on 04-28-20. The range layout and personnel are unequalled. I had a firearm failure (faulty extractor issue) immediately up commencing my visit to the pistol range. Trevor, the Armorer, had me up and going in no time. Trevor and the other staff of TGE couldnt have been more attentive, well-mannered, kind, or proficient in their work. I already suspected TGE is a first class operation - now I know it is. Well done, brothers!
