Wish i had a place like this closer to home back in Southern Illinois. The carts are exhilarating and the track is fun and challenging! I went for 1 race and ended up racing 3 times it was such a blast! Experienced or a beginner i suggest i this be a stop if youre on the Western Slope of Colorado looking for a blast! Id go weekly if i could!

One of these days Ill have a real race car! but today the old Turbo Brick pulled through, had a great time learning the track, and hanging out with friends and family, looking forward to the next event.

This place is super clean and a lot of fun. The staff is very friendly! I had so much fun and you get a full 10mins to do as many laps as you can get in. They have 65, 110, and 120 mph karts.

Soooooooo much fun! We had children ages 6, 9 and 12 with us and they all loved it! They had a lot of fun dressing up as race car drivers and cruising around the track. The race is about 10 minutes and it was the perfect amount of time on a great size track. We absolutely loved this place!

This place was freaking great, and so were the people. Carts are great, and fast.

This was so much fun. Daren was so friendly. We showed up during the off season and their track was closed, but he opened it up for our family and really made our weekend. We will definitely be back.

We had the best time at GJMS! We took our 10 year old daughter and she is already planning our next trip back. We live 2 hours away, and we will definitely be back as often as possible. The staff was incredibly nice, helpful and put us all at ease right away. We weren’t sure if there was a separate track for younger kids, and we would have to go in shifts as our daughter would be on a different track. To our delight everyone drives on the same track, so we all got to be together. The other racers were respectful and didn’t bully slower or younger drivers. We did three heats, and very reluctantly left to get dinner. It is highly addictive, and the printouts of your time and rank only make it more so, as you try to improve your time. We will absolutely be back, again and again and again!

Had an absolute blast celebrating Our anniversary in a little competitive race! The man that helped set us up in our carts was so kind and funny, very informative made us feel really comfortable! The ladies inside were amazing, so helpful and nice! We had a great time!

Recently took my son to the track for his birthday. We both had an incredible time! The track was fun and challenging, the carts were great, and the staff was extremely accommodating and could not have been nicer! This is a wonderful place to drive! We will be back!!!

We had a blast! Ask for Richard! He is the sweetest man and he truly took our experience from a 7 to a 10+. The track is so fun. Our group cant wait to go back and do it again and to visit our new favorite Richard.

CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS AT THIS BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had reserved 1:00. They bumped us to 2, then later then later then later. The owners friends had control of the track UNTIL 5:00! THEY MADE US WAIT 4 HOURS, Then they wouldnt even give us a free lap, which takes about 45 seconds. *We then missed wifes special anniversary birthday dinner reservations thanks to these people at the track. Incredibly poor management, to say the least.

One of the best days of my life! The staff is really down to earth and super easy to deal with. This place is a must for Grand Junction vacation!

This was a really fun experience. The things could be a little better labeled and have a few more staff members to help direct you. But the people they did have knew thier stuff and it was a lot of fun.

I passed through here on a weekday during a cross-country road trip. For a nominal fee, (I think it was $60 for the whole day?) you can drive your car on the kart track. I rented the track and had practically the whole day to myself, save for a family that came by for a few sessions on the karts. The karts would run for one session, then the track would be open for cars, then back to the karts, and so on.The track surface is in very good shape, with a good amount of grip. I didnt notice any obstacles that could be hit in the runoff areas; seems like a safe track. There are even a few elevation changes.The inside area is clean, spacious, and air conditioned, and there is even some green grass around the track. Very nice facility! The employees are also very patient and helpful.

I have been here a few times and it has been a blast every time!! The staff have been friendly and helpful as well as patient with new drivers. If you are looking for something different, karting is absolutely worth a try. No training, previous experience, or equipment needed. If I were to give one bit of advice, go for at least 30min (two 15min heats) this way, you have a break in between heats to figure out what you did right and what you can improve on. By far the most fun Ive had on four wheels!!

Down here every year for Flyin Miata summer camp! You can’t have more fun then really pushing the limits in this track. Super nice staff, good AC which is important in the summer and safety gear for rent.

I have been to the motorsports park many many times to rent one of there fine carts and also to race my car at scheduled events that red rock racers hold out there about 6 times a year . I have never had a bad experience out there . if you like fun, if you like cars you need to come out and race, rent or watch a event witch cost nothing . I have been to many cart tracks around the country and this is as good as any of them .if you have not been there you will be surprised how large the track is and how nice the equipment is. Take a friend and go drive one of there cool carts at the track you will be back.. Howard F.

Real race track, not a silly oval. Its super fun! Friendly staff and all the karts are consistent preformance-wise. They are serious about off-track & bumping. I got sideways in a turn (my lead foot) and bumped my buddy off the track. We both got pulled & fined $10. It was worth it! I was at fault - I paid, went in the next race and I set my personal best lap time. Ive been several times and they are always good, this last time my teenage son & I had a classic father-son battle. Im gonna get beat soon - hes getting really fast. Im always looking for excuses to head to Grand Junction now so I can get a few laps in.

So disappointed with this place! We planned a trip to Grand Junction and this was at the top of our list of things to do. We got there early Saturday morning and were told they were having an all day event and wouldnt be renting karts until the evening. Ok fine, maybe I shouldve called the day before but it didnt occur to do that as there was nothing on their website or Facebook page showing an event. I asked about Sunday and they said they were open to the public all day. We showed up early again on Sunday and then were told that they didnt have any kids karts available at all! I think this might have been worth mentioning the day before when I asked about Sunday! So as a result we had a very sad 5 year old on our hands that had been looking forward to going for weeks! As we were leaving we overheard another man with his small boys having the same issue and was also very irritated and asked why they didnt mention the kid kart issue when he had called the day before either!

Its only open on the weekends & its pretty far away from everything. The website I got the address from didnt say its only open on weekends so my drive out there was a waste of time & effort.

Carts are fun but i got fined and paid extra for sliding off the track. Dont bother going!

This is a great place!! Casual and affordable. The basic carts are very fast! This is not your average carnival go-kart track. This is the real deal! I have been tracking cars for 6 years and I have ran my corvette and turbo miata on this track. Let me tell you what, the go-karts are just as fun and much faster. My average times in the cars are 1:05 and I had the kart down to 78 seconds. Its a kick! Stop waiting and get out there!

Crook owner scammed us out of 100$ for a 20$ belt we supposedly broke

We have always had a great time when at GJMS. We race a lot and it is for sure our favorite track. The whole cook family are the best people you going to meet. Sabra and Stacy have helped Tristin and myself to learn more and how he can be quicker and more consistent.When the club racers get together its like family. There is none of this whining and back stabbing that seems to happen at other tracks or clubs. It is just a lot of fun and family is a big part off that.

Super fun until you spin off course. Then you are made to feel like you did something horribly wrong, pulled off the track and charged $10. Other than that it is really fun, but you will get yelled at and pulled off track for slightest mishap so beware.

Great track, good karts, good prices. The long straights and fast turns allow for some real passing opportunities. Its totally different from indoor tracks like K1 Speed and Unser Karting, which are really tight and technical, but poorly suited to head to head racing.

My kids and I had a great time. The staff was awesome and really funny.

Norbert Laczko thinks this is one of the best, if not the best, go kart courses he has been on. If we werent so far from Grand Junction, he would be there almost all the time :) Keep up the great work Grand Junction Motor Speedway!

Our family had a great time here.

This was my second visit. Im 50, I brought a friend and my 12 year old daughter and her friend. We chose to race the Hondas for an hour, stopping every 15 minutes to see how our times were improving with our goal being a lap in 73 seconds. The kids dropped a lot of time and really improved in their handling skill. They could run a lap at about 85 seconds by the end of our hour and my buddy and I were at about 76 seconds. The cars are plenty fast enough (they approach 50 mph) and can over power the track and our skill. In fact, if you are being chased, and spin out, then you can get a nice T-bone, which at 35 miles an hour can damage you and the car. It really takes some skill out there to get 73 seconds and to stay out of the dirt. I noticed a reviewer concerned that he couldnt race other drivers.....I did not have this problem. If I wanted to race other drivers we just took the first lap as warm up and practice, got into position, and then hit it hard as we passed the Start.We did have a crash though. My daughter was chasing her friend. The friend spun out thus dropping speed fast. My daughter smashed into her. They were both pretty shook up. We lost that session as we had to bring the girls in and tow in the car but I think they are learning important lessons and power, control and training their reflexes a bit. Much better to learn these things on a track and in a go cart than out on a highway.The staff was nice enough to not charge us for the damage and said they could fix it cheap.Thx much. The only way they could improve would be to make it more affordable but I imagine it is not cheap to run the business.Thx much!Howard Roney

It was my sons fourteenth birthday. So I took him up to Grand Junction Motorsports. It was fun!

Very friendly staff, quite expensive but guaranteed good times.

This was our first time but not or last. Great fun worth every penny.

I have only been to Grand Junction Motor Speedway several times and loved every time i drove those fabulous carts! My hippy lovin girlfriend and her boys even loved it and hope to visit again this year. The staff is top notch, the older gent there is awesome with younger children and the carts run and stop w/out a hiccup. Take you friends, bring the fam and trust me. Youll love it!

My son and I took our Eclipse to the track last fall for a track day. What a great way to teach a young driver how to experience drifting & car control.

Girls who work there are Eh but good otherwise

Not worth the money. Several other drivers and I were kicked off the course for spinning out from loose dirt being on the track from another race. The racers werent started together, eliminating any chance of a competition between drivers. Even if I didnt get kicked off the course, I dont think that $50 was a fair price.

So fun. Good way to spend a couple hours!

People that run this place are a damn joke. Terrible business ethic. Told me to come back later in the day for parts, was then told to call the next day. Then was told they sold them to someone else and the owner Stacy wasnt even in that day. Bullshit.
