Clean area, friendly staff, lots of activities for the family and nice views! Lot of things to do close by as well such as: trekking through downtown Grand Haven, trying The Toasted Pickle restaurant (delicious food!), local farmers markets and right by Lake Michigan for some beach time and awesome hilly views. The Resort had delicious ice cream hand scooped to your liking and we made some friends while we were there. We definitely cant wait until go carts open back up again and plan on returning in the future!
Campground was beautiful. Only downside was there were no assigned sites. If you have never been there before you have to drive around on very narrow roads to look at the sites and then find one that your rig fits into.
Grand Haven has an amazing popup golf course. The problem is theres no one running the golf course area and they dont have enough adult golf clubs so my son and I were not able to play on the last night he was is here. To say the least we were very disappointed and feel like they need a different set up and at least some signage so you know what to do or where to go to find the people who have the clubs.
Camp ground and lot was clean. Buildings updated. Showers need a little work, ex: more water pressure, and bench/stool outside of the actual shower stall instead of inside the actual stall. I wish that the entrance to the park was on the side road instead of the express way. The express was is very busy!
First time staying at an ODA park. Park was clean and there were plenty of staff on hand. Liked the fact that there was a convenience store. There was also a pool and activities available for children. Dislikes: right off of the highway so you could hear the traffic. I was actually awkended during the night by emergency vehicles driving on the highway with there sirens on. Also found out from a member that the $16K pricetag that they try to sell you for a membership to ODA can be purchased much cheaper by buying one from an existing member looking to get out of there annual contact fees.
Very nice campsites. Lots of activities amenities. Helpful staff
Great times today with Son and granddaughter, an family . Miniature golf an bike riding. Campfire, what a blast. Thxs Outdoor Adventure, Grand Haven.
There are many activities to entertain children from a really nice swimming pool, challenging Putt Putt Golf and roads for the bicycle riders. I recommend this camping resort!!!
Havent explored much yet but it seems very nice. Cant wait to check it out in the am.
It was a very quiet couple of days. The people were super friendly.
Garbage, rotgut company. Run down locations, deceptive.Walk away, go with your gut on this one. Dont use this company. We were lied to when we signed up on multiple instances. You can find out all about them online. If you are interested in considering pursuing legal counsel in regards to a class action lawsuit against these crooks, let me know. In the mean time, contact the MI Attorney General about these frauds.
I had my doubts when we first arrived but after we got settled in I really liked our stay there, lots of trees and pine needles where we parked our camper but everyone was nice. We will be back we stayed 5 nights
Spent two consecutive weeks camping here. Had a great time with changing but great neighbors! Staff was great in spite of the complications imposed by COVID-19. We look forward to our next visit to blueberry country.
Huge pool including kids pool at 6 inches deep, big playground with basketball and volleyball courts, Go-Karts, and activities.
Good size lots and lots of woods. Perfect camping spot. And so much to do here, as well as in nearby Grand Haven
Great camp site. Just wish the camp sites werent so crowded together.
Good place.Lots of treesStaff are very friendly.Pool is nice
Crowded, smells, no amenities, and 6 years since we were promised wifi. For a private campground, its worse than most public ones
Had a wonderful time. Looking forward to future visits
Love it! The people are nice and its a great place for family!
A little run down and could use some updates but a lot of activities for kids. Nice to have full hookups on most sites, but need extension cords/hoses as the hookups are all over the place.
This is a very nice park! The staff is awesome and helpful!
The staff was great. Lots of activities for younger kids! Kept my girls busy all day Saturday.
Untrustworthy and deceptive company as a whole. Rude and non helpful customer service. Policy changes made without informing members, no openings to use the paid membership on several occasions. Do not waste your money on this place!
Great place to stay and enjoy the surrounding area.
Was a real pleasant stay there everyone was friendly.
The stay here is always great. The only concern I have is no WIFI! When we signed up 5 or 6 years ago they said they were getting WiFi in all resorts/campgrounds. Well all these years later and there is still no WiFi! During the day we are busy but at night we relax, check emails and play games on phone or iPad we don’t want to go and sit up at clubhouse to do this. That’s my little rant. I would like some WiFi please!
Nice camping site friendly staff and friendly campers. All amenities worked great.
Great location and great staff. Nice clean facilities
Getting a little run down and lack of maintenance. Not really as nice as it once was.
These ppl lie to get you to join these R.V. parks, and also charge a monthly service fee.. maintenance is what they call it, but we see no sign of that at either park weve been to so far.The sites are not cleaned, poison ivy 10 feet from us, and Grand Haven actually charges $10.00 to bring the honey pot; though we cant reserve a spot that has sewer. Talk about a total bunch of thieves and liars!!!!Rusty fences for kids to get cut on, huge pieces of glass in our site in grass/sand, along with dirty bandaids, and other trash i picked up. Someone shoveled out the fire pit and left that as you can see..10 feet at most from us.I called and reported all this, but no one came to see it, or spray anything to kill the poison Ivy.Please dont make our mistake, dont join this crookedly run rv park!!! We will be contacting an attorney when we get home and see what we need to do to get out of their contract and get our money back!! To bad they dont offer a negative rating scale for trashy places like Outdoor Adventure RV Resorts.
Love the two pools, putt putt, and go carts. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Our grandchildren love the activity directors. Great place to own a membership!Update, hours are ridiculous for store and Go cart. WiFi should be for campgrounds not just the clubhouse, this was in our agreement when we bought into it.Brighter side Kevin ROCKS. I dont know how ANYONE could have a problem with him.He goes out of his way to do the right thing and be as much help as possible.Great job Kevin.
Its a great place to go camping with your family.
Bathrooms were dirty, but everything else was good.
Thanks for the awesome family memories. Theyre priceless!! Loved the go cats and walking the nature paths.
Nice and peaceful. Very clean and the employees were friendly and helpful... especially Harold. In a good location where you can explore up and down the coast (highly recommend getting a state park recreation pass!). Close to grocery stores, farmers markets and downtown Grand Haven.
I called the person I spoke too didnt know even what time check in was or when the store that checks you in is open. I get there, the employee that checked me in said the pool was closed, the go carts are closed And no activities for this weekend do to the whole activity staff is getting ready for next week Halloween decorations and haunted path and ride. I told her that sounds great but Im not here next weekend so youre telling me that there is nothing but the playground. I could have camped in our backyard gone fishing and had the playgrounds up the street for the same thing or go to the apartment complex and use the pool. I wanted my kids first camping trip to be really exciting and fun. I do not recommend this park!!!!!!
This is really nice. We are staying a rustic cabin for the first time. It is pretty nice. We did not want to haul the trailer across state. This has 2 small twins sets of bunk beds and a full bed I the other room with a small table for 4 and a large mini fridge. It has a small covered poarch with a grill and fire pit. Memebers are charged $25.00 or stay for a week for 1/25 price.
Nice campground, better now that Outdoor Adventures purchased this property. There is some room for improvement though. The roadway through the park needs to graded from time to time to eliminate the giant mudholes. It would also be great if they could increase the number of full hookup sites. The addition of WIFI would be nice as well. Good location near downtown Grand Haven and shopping. Lots of things to do here like a go cart track, putt-putt golf (which desperately needs some TLC), playground for the kids and seasonal activities for everyone. We camp here a couple times each year and we like it a lot.
I love this campground. So close to everything.
We loved it here and the kids loved it even more
Untrustworthy company!! I feel obligated to leave this at every location. The sales person sold us exactly what we wanted to hear, and we were stupid and believed what he said. I would not trust this company, as their sales tactics are extremely shady! If in the end you really want to buy a membership, consider searching online for ones for sale, and save money. Just read the fine print, ask they give you a copy to show a lawyer, dont trust anything they say!!
Smaller then other outdoor adventure, little close to 31 but still nice. The older staff could be a little friendlier, younger staff very pleasant. I do think they should offer one free ride on the go carts like they do with canoes at other locations. They should have patrolled in the evening looking at peoples fires during the high winds. Was a little scary with Sparks flying and tents and pop-up trailers around. Be aware if your coming during a busy and rainy time there are a lot of sites that are covered in standing water.
We are not a member, but went as a guest of a member. Campground is just like any other campground, if you ask me. I did not see anything that would cause me to shell out money for a membership. We were there right after the 4th of July weekend. They were out of ice for many days. Bathroom was decent, but showers were HOT - too hot. Some sites were not available because of the wet weather we had (I didn’t fault them for that). Street lights are very bright; annoyingly bright. Staff made their presence known and seem to have taken care of many issues in the park during the week.If you like “city” camping, this may be the campground for you. I prefer a little more quiet, rural setting.
Great campground for families very clean and well run by management. Very nice pool and go carts for the kids. Also a great playground with basketball court. Great getaway for all families.
It was pretty quiet here.
2nd visit. Brought family from Chicago to enjoy the grounds. Day 1- 4 cup coffee pot, REALLY? Day 2 - water goes out across the entire complex. Staff says its above us. I ask what about mother nature? Shes in charge of when a family of 8 needs to go. Daughter has 2 towels stolen while at the pool.Day 3. Whats next? My truck gets egged and no way to clean it? Not happy. Paying too much money for this bull.
Been here for a week and love it.... Everyone is nice and helpful. Has putt-putt, swimming pool, nice big playground, and go carts. My family loves it here and we will be back.
Great park friendly staff.
Very layed back, no charge to get a day pass if you want a guest. Go carts, train ride, hay ride, and clean pool. Wish they had more full hook-up sites but other than that we loved it. Highly recommended
4.5 days in site #159. Most sites in very good condition, a few were wet due to recent heavy rains, they were being repaired with new drainage and gravel. The bath/showers were cleaned several times a day and were very nice. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful when we had questions. Store and activity hours were well posted. Plenty to do for children and adults (we tie dyed t shirts). We will be returning often seeing we are only 1 hour away. Thank you to the crew and staff at Outdoor Adventures Grand Haven!
My grandkids loved it
Staff screws up the reservation, tells us we have to leave even though there are more than 80 empty sites
Haunted trail was great
Our site was dirty with litter and broken glass, they charge you to dump, and poison ivy all over. Their miniature golf had rips and holes all over, and the roads were filled with potholes. We regret joining Outdoor Adventures. Save your money, because they only have 1 decent one, and its always full.
Of all the Outdoor adventure campgrounds this was by far the worse. Staff was rude and never knew the answers to any questions. Guard shack was empty most all of the time. Not a safe feeling. Put put equipment was always at a different spot. Made planning activities hard. Either the guard shack or pavilion. Security did not keep campers dogs controlled. Several sites with dogs that lunged at ours. Just very disappointed as an owner of this location. We left three days early just to go home where the atmosphere was happy. Outdoor adventure, you need to check management, and security before we get a bad name. Almost everyone we spoke to said in the last couple years this location has been getting worse. Location is the only good thing and a couple young ladies in charge of activities were super pleasant. Im also pretty sure the speed bumps they put in while we were there caused a blowout on our camper tire on our way home. Tire store even asked if we went over any. I feel we probably ran over a screw that was not tightened on the speed bump.
Alway a good time! The staff is very friendly. Campsite was well maintained clean fire pit grass was cut.
Beautiful piece of Michigan.
Epic place to make family memories.
Excellent campground BUT...they charge $5 for 5 minutes on the go cart track/ride...WAY too much for families of 9...had it been $5 for half hour we MAY have considered it. When I mentioned the price to the staff, the all were amazed and a bit embarrassed with the price also...we didnt see anyone on those carts the whole weekend.
Very nice, liked it alot! Found a perfect, beautiful corner spot, pretty quiet. Didnt take advantage of any of the offered programs. Bathrooms were ridiculously hot and humid.
Our favorite of the Outdoor Adventure campgrounds so far. The staff is always helpful. You can leave your camper in their storage if you are a frequent camper for a reasonable monthly/seasonal fee. They have an outdoor pool, mini golf, go carts and other fun things to do. Theres a store opened daily for campers needs and they are minutes away from shopping and restaurants. The bathhouses are kept clean and they have quite a few full hookup sites.
Great place to visit! Its a fun and quiet park with fun amenities. The staff there is great!! Tasha and Bailey are awesome! See you all again soon. : )
Wouldve been $60 total for two sites for two nights ($30/site). I wanted to cancel last minute due to bad weather in the forecast and were told it would be $100 cancellation fee ($50 per site). We said we would just keep the reservation and not use it, but they said they would check on us and if we didnt stay there overnight, would be charged the $100 cancellation fee ($50 per site). How does that make any sense? There is no other accommodation in the world that charges you more if you decide not to show up and use your reservation. This place is run by rude, money grabbing people. Avoid this place at all costs.
Very crowded and little kids are riding bikes everywhere. But there is a go-cart track and a good mini-golf course. There is two pools and is about 10 minutes away from lake Michigan. Overall good place.
Although this has been a favorite of ours in the past we were left very disappointed this last visit. For the first time ever we never saw anyone in the security station checking people in. Not only did the campground run out of both ice and wood on our first day, but we also signed up to get pumped out at 9:30am. The honey wagon came around 4:30pm and pumped out or neighbor so my husband and I assumed we were next. Imagine our surprise when 6:30 rolled around and the tractor came by with the hayride. We had been sitting here with full black water and gray water all day and still hadn’t been pumped out. I understand that holiday weekends are busy but come on. The trip did end on a good note as we really enjoyed the putt-putt and go carts and noticed that several improvements had been made throughout the park. It just would have been nice if there had been adequate staff and supplies.
The cabin was nice, but the pull out couch had to be wiped dry, mustve been sprayed & closed up. The store was not stocked AT ALL, the putt putt was the only activity available until memorial day. I get it, but when you invite families, itd be nice for kids to have SOMETHING to do. Food for thought. We will most likely not revisit this location, but enjoyed the Kalamazoo & Davison location. We will be staying at the Wapakoneta location in July & hope to have a better experience.
Disappointed. Was there for Labor day weekend. Not many things for kids to do. Then for the Bingos my grandchildren were told it was full. Same thing happened to us adults. I pay to much money to not b able to do the little bit of activities they have. Need more activities to do
I posted a review over a month ago. OUTDOOR ADVENTURES commented within a week for me to contact them at the number listed. I have called TWICE, left messages. NO RESPONSE. I also sent TWO EMAILS no response. Its been over a month. I WILL SAY we are herecurrently. They have installed some speed bumps. Not enough, but its a start. And, I did see there is way more security this time around. But because the company has refused to contact me regarding my pervious issues, I will NOT give a higher rating... especially since they got on here telling me to do so. Get your customer service act together OA... your lack of response IS a response!
Arrived for our 1st Outdoor Adventure and was greeted by a nice young man. Found a site that we love. It was somewhat of a struggle due to some flooding but that is mother natures fault not on the campground. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, and showers that dont shut off until you turn them off!!! Also, clean pools that we love. The kiddie pool is perfect for toddlers and parents to lounge in the water too! The store was a basic campground store. Disappointed with no hard ice cream as they are still waiting for the license but they did provide freezer icecream selection. We will be back again and again and again!!!
Close to highway 31 yet traffic noise is not bad in sites toward the back. Putt-Putt golf, pool, clean shower houses and well kept grounds. Some excellent full-hoohup & level sites for the early birds, some left over sites may be unlevel or too close to traffic noise.
Nice park. Site that we used was great. Applaud OAs efforts to improve drainage and sewer
Clean, great staff, lots to do at the campground & close to do much for day trips. Will definitely be back!
The place was pretty niceThe other campers were friendly but couldnt drive . There were 4 accidents under 4 mph while I was there with campers getting hit.Worse yet the staff had No authority to do anything. Was told when we booked if we wanted to extend we had to do it at the location. We get there a week later try to extend and they said we have to call the 800 # and extend thru them.Such a cluster
Beautiful and peaceful
Staff and customers are friendly.. N helpful...they helped us unlock our truck....after we locked our keys in the ignition....oops
Used to be an amazing Jellystone. Now its a scammy time share. You cant even go to their website without getting phished for your personal info. How sad that a nice park was infested with weasel ownership. I miss the days of business ethics and integrity.
Our first ODA stay. Nice place. Good campsite size. Quiet when it counts. Great experience.
Great place to stay, it’s our favorite Outdoor Adventure Resort. Grass is mowed, pool is clean in fact the entire campground is very well kept. Great job staff! All the staff are very friendly and helpful.I would suggest something try to be done about the vehicles that travel to fast, above the 10 mph. Someone is going to get hurt. Possibly consider portable speed bumps in certain areas.
First time here (Davison is our home camp ground). Booked for a week solid and for the most part thought the campground was kept clean. The biggest issue I have is lack of Full Hookup Sites. While there are good number, they appear to always be taken and you have to be at the right place at the right time. They try and make up for it by offering a Honey Wagon that will come by and pump you out. However there is a $10 cost per pump out, which was never disclosed during the sales presentation and I think is a little rip off especially for a sight with as many non full hooks as full hook-up.Security, perhaps its the different on the west side compared to the Davison site. I was expecting a manned guard shack 24/7...nope, maybe half of that. This leaves me a little uneasy as the security of their sites was a benefit they bragged about at the sales presentation. To be fair we had no issues during our stay.Overall this site is very beautiful and has options from full shade to full sun and everything in between. You are close to Holland & Grand Haven State Parks and various county/local beaches along with Michigan Adventures. So this is a good base of operations to explore Michigans West Coast.
Its a great resort because its a short drive to Grand Haven beach. The resort is clean and well maintained. The only thing I did not care for was that the Go-Karts were only for 18 and up. The track is small and suitable for kids ages 12 and up. Just have us sign a waiver. Not to mention it costs $5.00! We pay enough in the cost of buying into Outdoor Adventures and monthly maintenance fees, it should be free.
Grand Haven staff was above and beyond and made our 4 day stay easy and enjoyable.
Very relaxed
It was a great experience would love to go back in the summer
We enjoyed our stay, close to the beach and stores, friendly staff and friendly campers.
No improvements since our last visit, where are the maintainious dues going?
Nice place to hang
I would not stay at this campground again the showers and bathrooms were not very clean. The go cart track was completely down and there was a sign at the guard shack saying it was down until further notice. the quarter machine to do laundry got moved into the store and you can only access it when the stores open in the store shelves were very empty. only one of the showers seem to have hot water. one of the wash machines were down. the miniature golf course need of some TLC, And half the time you couldn’t find the equipment to go miniature golfing. they forgot to turn the music off at the pool and I had to ask for them to shut it off at midnight half the time there wasn’t even someone at the guard shack. we were playing basketball when a staff member was cleaning and took a leave Blower and blew sand all over us. Then at one point they covered up all the windows in the clubhouse with really no explanation except there were some incidents. the noise from the road kept me up at night so I will not be coming back to this one. the only saving grace was it was close to Lake Michigan
Big camp sites go carts track is fun
Love their campground. Always clean and friendly staff.
