Beautiful Japanese park/garden! Many locals have their engagement, anniversary/wedding, gender reveal/baby announcements, & graduation pictures taken throughout for how gorgeous the scenery is. Theres a new updated park that has everything your kids could want to do along with the older style park thats smaller and has diggers at. The bike bath comes up along the Cooley and you can see ducks swimming when looking out off the small bridge. Many people have parties here outside where they can barbecue. Very scenic and a wide variety of people hang out here. Most find parking along the street easier than the small parking lot, which has handicapped parking accessible
Wonderful neighborhood park with lots of walkways, beautiful shrubbery and benches. Great family stop with picnic shelters and a playground too. Off street free parking and a few geocaches made it an enjoyable visit.
Nice to visit but to much garage laying around . Incisderate people dont know how to pick up after themselves!!
A Beautiful place! Nice trails in through the garden area. Relaxing
Great Facility! We used one of the pavilions for a 4th of July BBQ and there was plenty of room for our whole group. Theres also lots of grass in the shade from trees to throw around a football or something.
Nice walking trails. Easy to go through with a stroller. Nice large playground for kids.
Not your typical Japanese garden with the Kois and sand designs, etc etc...but it was a beautiful park. Had a nice playground and great picnic shelters. When we were there, there mustve been a yellow jacket hice close by because once we sat our picnic lunch up, we were bombarded by yellow jackets. We ate quickly and put leftovers away. Once they couldnt smell any food anymore, all was fine. Took a quick walk around the pond and back. Will definitely explore this park more when we pass by again.
Beautiful and well kempt park. I loved it here! My only complaint is that the bathroom stalls need doors.
Beautiful surroundings and a good play area for children, but the bridges are quite worn.
Very peaceful and a great place to take kids.
Beautiful place to bring the kids. Picnic lunches, etc.
We took my pregnant daughter photo shot there. Got beautiful pictures.
The trees look beautiful this type of year.
My friends and I had a lot of fun! Thank you for having us!
Ideally, a public park should be open to the community and its residents and provide safe grounding for young ones to frolic and have their own fun, and thats what Sertoma provides for Grand Forks, ND.Located blocks away of the hospital, the park provides an acceptably moderate sized playground for children to play and a decent set of paths for bike rides and strolls to walk a dog, etc. Now, what makes this park unique than the others in the small suburbs of Grand Forks is the Japanese pond that lays in the center, which is a frequent spot for photographers to take photos for weddings, prom/engagement portraitures and even just landscape shots. The pond is often a home to local tadpoles, which rests adjacent to the coulee where ducks, geese and other random waterfowl tend to feed. A lot of people do like to visit Sertoma Park and in its own right, provides a good sense of peace that makes Grand Forks more serene than other places allow.
Good park, BUT...They say it’s a hiking trail but not really,Kinda of a waste of my cousins hard work,Plus the bathroom is disgusting. When I went in there was poop smudged all over the wall. But it has a pretty nice park.
Get to the park before 8. Something magical about the light fog that hangs around.
Sertoma Park is where my husband and I got married almost a year ago now. I loved the way the park looked so much I just had to marry the love of my life there. Its a great place for everyone even! But boy is it beautiful at sunset in October!!
Nice park! Very relaxing
Beautiful place to walk-by yourself, with your dog, or with friends!
Nice new shelter, clean park, and great amenities for kids.
Great park! fun playground! shade!
A pretty nice park to go walk around on the sidewalks and have kids play on the playground.
Nice shelters and walking paths. Ponds were a bit green due to recent heat wave.
The arboretum is a refreshing spot for quiet reflection or practical learning. The beds are well-groomed and healthy. I really appreciated the walking paths through the nice scenery. The accessible playground was fun for all the kids and easy to supervise for the adults. The bathroom was clean, but odd. Maybe having no stall doors prevents crime or vandalism, but I didnt see a benefit to someone with a disability where larger stalls are necessary for discretion with support.
Easy to find. Very close to the hospital and clinic. Super fun things to do with babies and little ones. Bathroom not far away and clean. Beautiful setting for the Water and statues representing Japanese culture. Lots of benches near sidewalks and around the park. Picnic tables...Very lovely set up.
Good park, one of the more beautiful places in Grand forks, and thats saying a lot. Have a lot of memories here and Im sure long timers of grand forks would say the same. A must visit if youre here, because theres not much else here. Nice pond, and the park is generally taken care of nicely.
Amazing place to check out in autumn!
Great spot for pokémon go and painted rocks
It was a beautiful spot for a picnic but the pond is getting overrun with algae.
The park for kids is simply awesome. The area has a couple areas full of kids play equipment for all age kids. If older kids you may need to bring a outside game along to keep them busy. The space is nice for larger groups and the water area was starting to get a bit green with weeds and algae. Great place for family pictures.
Beautiful works with toddlers and babies +
Beautiful park. My kids love it here.
Nice community spot. Great place for children. Our toddler enjoy posing on the bridge and stones for his photos. Direct bike trail access.
No idea...was never there google
Nearest outing from my place. Nice place for kids!
I love the area and the paths to walk though. Theres a playground nearby my daughter loves to play at. The only things I dont like are the lack of parking space in the lot and the waters are filled with garbage. If this can be cleaned up and maintained this would be 5 stars.
This park is really nice the rock formation is cool and the water is relaxing
Beautiful park with a nice playground for kids. The place was very clean and well kept. Definitely would have a BBQ or outdoor get together there.
Wonderful park in Grand Forks with an interesting exhibit of the native trees. Lovely and relaxing. Take a walk when there! Will return.
Quiet and good park to relax with family
Have a great birthday party there
Well kept and gives the idea of the Japanese parks, only wish it was wider than that and had more Japanese plants and lanterns to see. Good to relax, with a kids playground close by.
Very nice playground. The merry go round is a real hazard for little kids though. Does not appear the breaking system on it works.
So peaceful
Nice park! Walking paths throughout, a nice playground for the kids... The little pond is a nice touch.
Beautiful Place
Nice clean park with facilities and nice playground equipment. Kids had a great time.
Just a visitor to the state, could be a nice park if it were well maintained. Having been to Japan and seen true Japanese gardens, I was excited to see this. Unfortunately, it hasnt been taken care of. Grass and algae covered. Had a nice walk, though. Someones dog was having a stroll without them, nice dog, he licked my hand.
Clean, nice picnic shelters, and playground for the children to play on. Also has a walking/jogging path with nice scenery to enjoy.
It is so pretty and kids like mine love that park its like a paradise for kids and the Japanese garden is beautiful and peaceful and amazing for dogs too!
Great place to get away from the hassle and bustle . Very well kept clean and well groomed. Makes you want to spent all day there thanks brad Nelson.
Always so gorgeous and well kept, we visit with our dog a lot and its nice to have an area to play with her
It has a nice variety of play equipment for small children.
The park is always clean and the children love the various play items here.
It was a beautiful walk with my furbaby Morgan
The park has a great playground for the kids and walking paths for a nice stroll.
Great place to bring kids, dogs, or a peaceful picnic style lunch. Also plenty of lawn space for any kind of sporting activity.
Gorgeous park. Surprisingly lovely with winding paths. Very well maintained. Nice looking playground. Fruit trees!
Cool rocks
Fantastic park with kiddies play structures
Great park with a variety of playground equipment.
Relaxing place to think your thoughts
This park is gorgeous. The views were to die for! There werent a ton of people when we visited, so it was quiet and peaceful. There is a dog park, a playground, and lots of outdoor space for photography, reflection, or picnics.
Pretty fall trees.
A beautiful place to meditate and relax.
Beautiful garden with amazing energy helps to realign your chakras
Clean and well kept. Nice place to take kids. Giant playground. Walking trail.
Located just west of the hospital in Grand forks sertoma park is one of the top parks to visit with your kids. They have plenty of playground equipment to keep the kids busy for hours and if you want to have lunch at the park they have picnic bench tables with enclosures. There is a nice walking path that takes you over a couple of small bridges and along the path there are many different types of trees and Flora each with a plaque and a description of which plant or tree your looking at. Just to let you know some of the enclosures can be rented for the day hosting birthday parties or just family get-togethers so dont be surprised to see reserve signs on some of the picnic areas. If you want plenty of sunshine and just a relaxing place to go try sertoma park. Like i said its in my top four picks the others would be Lincoln Park, Riverside Park, University Park and I all most forgot Sherlock park in East grand forks. Sherlock, Riverside have pools and University has a splash park. The only other outdoor pool is elks pool in Grand forks. Hope this helps have fun!
Such a sweet little getaway right within GF! Great playgrounds, great place to take pictures. Lots of benches/tables for sitting, and a great walking trail thats paved.
Crazy array of different species of foliage! And the wildlife there seems to be very friendly!!
Very disappointing . No flowers, no upkeep. Such a.let.down. Green algee pond.
Kiddos love this park. Always clean, fun and big enough for plenty of kids to be playing.
Beautiful fun little park.
Very nice park, many trails
Beautiful park
Fun park full of geocaches!@
Anamazing park great for romantic strolls, picnics, playground time, Pokemon Go, jogging, meditating and wildlife viewing!
Nice restful park.
Very nice, well maintained park with a great playground. The Japanese Garden area is interesting to walk around in. A nice spot for families to go for a little fresh air.
Its a beautiful well cared for park its relaxing to just sit here and let time pass
The gardens were ok, but the path was well maintained and the play structures for the kids were excellent.
Great outdoor. Green.

Lovely place for kids
Small, nice little walk, I am sure it is prettier in full bloom.
One of the most beautiful parks in the GF/EGF area. It has anything one can ask for. Reflection pools, play equipment, and beautiful running areas. Well lit and in a great neighborhood.
Nice walking path
A very nice park, great for walking and just relaxing.
Beautiful park with grills!
