Oh the Metropolitan Fairview Theatre is always a positive experience. Well except for that one time years ago I got motion sickness from watching Avatar in 3-D which lead to me literally missing the 2nd half of the movie because I was sick in the restroom. I ended up talking to a manager about my horrible spell of illness and he ended up comping me a voucher good for anytime.
It is a fine theater as long as you are not looking for luxury experience. The picture is clear, the sound is good, and he seats are reasonably comfortable. It has pseudo stadium seating. You wont ever look at the back of someones head, but the higher seats start too far back for the screen size to get an eye level full field of vision seat.
Prompt service, very attentive to customers. Courteous and friendly staff. Clean
The staff is always helpful. Great sound systems.
Big screen for a small multi plex theater, sound was excellent
Kind of funky and run-down, but the staff are very nice.
Cute little theater with smaller crowds. Its older and a little outdated, but thats typical for the Santa Barbara area.
I enjoy this theater, as it is small, with ample parking. It is reasonably well maintained, similarly to the other Metropolitan Theaters. The staff is pleasant and helpful, and I enjoy the selection of movies typically offered here.
Small, cozy theater. Family oriented. Typical screens, seats, and sound.
This is the kind of movie theater that people forget exists. If your looking for one that is not over crowded. Staff is nice.
Nice location, they can improve service.
Friendly staff, lots of showtimes, comfy seats! Great family night or day out!
My first movie in a cinema ever was at this theatre; Spiderman far from home
Any time that there is a movie playing here that I want to see, I would choose here to go over any other theater. The service is warm and friendly. Everything is clean. Not crazy crowded or too many lines. Comfy seats. More affordable prices. Fresh hot popcorn too! Love this place.
The point Little theater. Not too full. Good service.
Very nice always clean
Awesome movie, liked it better than a Star was Born. Not mention I had the place to myself.
Terrible Place!!!! Does not even deserve a whole star rating! The staff was very rude!!! The theater was dirty and the floors were sticky. The popcorn tasted OLD, The auditorium we were in smelled VERY strongly of stale URINE!!! And worst of all, a whole family was forced to leave simply because a tired toddler had a couple small outbursts during the movie. Nothing a bottle of milk and a nap couldnt have cured. I WILL NEVER BRING MY FAMILY TO THIS AWFUL PLACE AGAIN! And I am urging my friends to stear clear as well. I will drive a few extra miles to downtown from now on!
Typical Mall multi-theater movie experience. Not nearly as good as the old time large theaters or the modern upscale places but good enough.
Manger was great and staff was nice with what they had to work with I mean the box office was at the counter but it worked out
Small Town theatre, very comfortable and clean good options. Friendly staff.
This is a nice place to visit and enjoy a movie. Is always clean and the customer service above and beyond expectations.
Small, uncrowded theater for a relaxed movie going experience. No need to rush just to find seats together with your group. You buy tickets at the concession stand.
Love The Fairview Theatre! They are smaller than Paseo or Camino Real, but wonderful just the same! This theatre, mostly shows family type films. They participate in the bargain Tuesdays. Thats awesome! Make certain you go before six pm. After six, the proverbial carriage turns back into a pumpkin..or the prices go up! The staff is friendly and the theater is clean. Give it a try. The Fairview Theatre is located on Fairview Avenue, across the street from Fast Lane. Its in the same shopping center, as Sprouts, RiteAid, Michaels, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Chicken Ranch, to name a few. We saw The Nutcracker and The Fourth Realms..It was GREAT!!!♡♡♡♡
Nice location, free parking but Some investors should transform this excellent located movie theater in to an amazing CINEPOLIS...It would be really great and would bring lots of visitors !!!
Most of the time when I come to this movie theatre you have to buy the movie tickets inside which I think is great because its much easier and you can order whatever else you want to buy all at once...
Good theatre, and nice snack bar. The only problem is that you have to wait outside before you can enter the theatre, and the line can get very long which is especially annoying when it is raining. There is a lot of parking though, and we enjoyed the movie.
It seems small from the outside but there are a number of screens. Most of the time you purchase your tickets at the snack bar. Stadium seating and nicer than most of the theaters downtown.
Nice little theater. Not too expensive and plenty of parking.
Theater was clean and neat and ladies room. Snacks were reasonable.
Grew up going to this theater, great service and friendly staff like always, very clean theater
Love these theatre. There is plenty of parking, great movies. Love the drinks and snacks.
Great movies.
You can serve your own fountain drink, but if it is busy either you are in the way or other people are in your way. The area where you put butter on your popcorn is cramped in between the soda fountain and the cashiers.
Really needs maintenance. The AC in aud1 is still not working. Staff apologizes but they cant fix it, they are selling tickets and concessions and cleaning and doing all they can but the movie going experience here continues to decline.
Small, second run theater, but with a decent sound system. Only four stars because the snacks are so expensive for what you get, and if you arrive for an early showing hungry they dont always have hot food ready.
Hidden Figures is a great movie. Very well done!
A great place to enjoy a movie without having drive all the way to downtown Santa Barbara, CA. Stadium seating, too.
It is an ok theater. Tens to show the non mainstream or about to go pre movies
Wanna see a movie an an empty theatre? Yea its awesome
A good place to watch your favourite movies! I recommend it 100%
Simple, small, no frills movie theater. Sometimes showing movies other locations are not
Cool theatre, especially great if you live near the area and dont want to drive to downtown SB or Camino Real. This theatre is peaceful and great place to take the kids.
The staff here is great, very nice
Excellent service cozy environment. Will go there again for sure.
Saw great movie overall Theatre pretty good
Not crowded, pleasant emoyees, clean bathroom. Was the only location near SB to show Is Genesis History?
Took my wife here to see a movie a few weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised it WASNT rundown and disgusting. The prices for ticket and concessions was on par with any other movie theater.
Efficient and clean
Wonderful place to take the family for the afternoon.
Nice place to watch a movie

Awesome
Great movie theater
Great time
Small theater, they have bargain Tuesdays.
Stadium seating. Typical movie theater, typical concession and pricing. Friendly staff.
Old, uncomfortable seating. They wont accept your movie passes even when the movie is old and they are required to do so unless it is a no pass movie.
Little dumpy but okay
Family got kicked out because of a crying baby that could have been solved with a bottle.
Great customer service
