18 holes has a lot of Short par 3 and very short par 4. No par 5.Narrow fairways and not very forgiving. Bring some balls that you wouldn’t mind getting lost. Especially for 13th hole.Steep walk to hole 12. Unless you are in a good shape, get the cart at least for back 9.Range mat does not have hole for rubber tee. Not ideal to practice your driver.
Short but very fun course. The rates are very good, and the course is maintained as well as you’d think for a course that has such affordable green fees. The player’s club is recommended if you spend even one day a week on the range - it pays for itself and then some. Their range is usually very busy, but it’s well maintained and was recently updated.
After the stay at home orders. If you want a cart itll be available only for the back 9 holes. The price is reasonable for a Par 60 executive course. This course makes you feel good about your golf game. The views are one of the best Ive seen for less than 20$ a round. Highly recommend this place. No phone service when I was up there.
One of my all-time favorite places to play golf in the LA area. The holes are a bit shorter but the elevation changes and super fast greens make this a fun challenge every time I play here.
Short hilly golf course. Good place for beginners! Note: cart is available only on back 9 holes with $10 cart fee.
This is one of the best mini golf courses we have ever been to. It is an indoor golf, bar, snack place. It is an intricate golf course with many contraptions. We had a blast here. You got to see it!
What a fun course! This is a great executive course (par 60) to get a quick round in. There are some drastic elevation changes, tight fairways, and small greens. And if you dont hit your driver well, dont worry. There are a few drivable holes, but you can successfully navigate each hole teeing off with a mid to long iron. This is NOT a pitch-and-put. If youre not accurate, you will not score as well as you hope. This course is a great value and a challenge for the average golfer.
Hard to cancel membership.Be careful.
Driving range with amazing views!
DO NOT GO. Absolute Joke this golf course.Way overpriced for what its offering. 12 $ alone just to visit !!!! When youre not even playing ... Imagine that ....Also their carts should be illiegal!! Absolutely dangerous - wheel was loose, brakes didnt work ... Just a matter of time until someone hurts themselves because of their malfunction.80 golf courses around LA and everyone is better than this one !!!
Wonderful course to play, shot a 79, wonderful course I consider it to anyone who enjoy a the game of golf in general, thanks for providing the opportunity to revisit my memories of my past and pool st everything from a different view and good job with the maintenance
One of the best practice courses in L A, that wont take 4 to 5 hrs... More like 2 to 3 hrs for 18 holes... Elevations...sloping greens....canyons... Good practice...
Everyone is very friendly from the staff to the players. Also it is a very nice place in general and feels like everyone is doing their job to make it a nice place. Come here if you just want to relax and golf.
Beautiful Driving Range with very nice and calm music but Driving Range Golf Balls are not cleaned up properly and has so much dirt on them. Made a lot of scratch on my new driver and irons. The worker who picked up empty buckets said, since you are paying only $35??? you should not leave coffee cups. He said Palos Verdes Golf C is $1,000.. He said he used work at PV golf club.Hated what he said. The practice golf balls you get to hit.... they probably, ... have been used for 5 years and never been washed.
Nice basic course. Very hilly on backside. Price right.
Nice exec golf course . Par 60. Interesting holes up the side of a mountain
Clean and full of fun. Tennis is just the best thing. Tennis keeps me happy and they have the best courts.
Great executive course. 18 holes. Superb view of downtown LA. A lot of mixed elevation shots and hungry canyons. Many sand traps. Interesting greens.
Very good golf club almost on the top of the mountain. Has beautiful nature and view of the Los Angeles city. Sometimes here you can see wild animals. Once I have seen rabbits over there. The air is fresh and enjoyable.
This is a best kept secret...such a great staff. The course is wonderful. Challenging when you want, fun is in the mix! Love this track!!!
Hard golf course, but beautiful view, 18 holes and truly great view to city, you can see downtown of Los Angeles and even Pacific Ocean, if air is clean.
This was the worst golf experience ever. You have to share a cart with a stranger here
Scholl Canyon Golf & Tennis Club is so wide.... It is nice to play tennis in here
Beautiful scenery, got some great photos for my art gallery ! Amazing golf course I wonder if the events here are televised
Nice driving range, good putting green. Cant comment much on the course. Grass was pretty dried up and patchy on the range and walking around but not on the putting green Id assume this is due to the drought. Friendly staff and reasonable price.Id recommend going if youre just looking to hit the driving range.
Good for using alot of your irons and nice views
I am a bit disappointed with the operation. I found out today that you only offer one basket of range ball per day since March. I think you should email or post the change and inform the members for things like this nature.
Cool short course made even cooler with the panoramic view of all of LA and SFV. For a short executive course it gives you challenges with change in elevation, wind (up in the canyon) and tricky greens that slope one way but still break wierd going down the mountain another way. I like to play here because of the good deals they offer on golf now and golfzing.
Nice place challenging yet not so hard that you cant enjoy it.
Amazinv
Challenge to play a great to develop short game. If your looking to pull out the driver on every hole this isnt the place. Great views
A fun, short 18 holes. Its just par 3s and 4s and is a great place for a beginner golfer looking for a challenge. The front 9 are fairly long and youll need some pop to get to the greens and a soft touch once youre on them. The back 9 is pretty short but lots of hazards and places to lose your balls...bring extra ones you dont mind losing. The back 9 can be easy if you are good with your wedges and short irons. Driving range looks out over the LA Basin and they allow hitting from grass on Monday-Wednesday, which is a huge bonus.
Nice 18 hole short course, no hole over 300 yards. Gives you a good chance to use your irons. Par 60, nice views, friendly staff. And, it took only 2.5 hours to complete, so youve got the rest of the day for other activities (not that any real golfer would want to do anything else!).
Great short iron practice. Beautiful views
I like this golf course, the driving range and putting green. The reason why I put four stars is because there are range balls in Holes 1, 6, and 9 since I get confused when my ball lands where the range balls are.
Location, great. View, great. Course condition, great (much improved actually). The food and drink prices...a joke, way too high. Pack a snack, eat after.
Callaway demo was awesome got a lot of info and staff is always great
Used the driving range only. Good enough driving range and quite pretty at night hitting balls towards/looking at the city lights in a distance. Grass and ground quality is so so.
Its always clean and I always have fun.
This is a great place to hit golf balls or to practise your game. The pro shop has a nice selection and there is a restaurant attached.
Pretty cool spot, didnt get to play, busted my hand but friends did and I just hung out, course is short but great for beginners, and nice views.
My brother started golfing a few months ago and invited me to hit some balls at the range. The facilities appears to be well maintained. The bathrooms are clean. Lots of parking space and it has great views of the city. I think it was $11 or$12 for a bucket of balls.
Very nice short 18 hole course. Grass is in decent to fair condition most of the time. Definitely a great value for the price.
Great people there and the course is very fun and challenging. Great views of LA, Glendale, Santa Monica and beyond. Lights for the driving range. Do wish there was a cart girl and/or marshal, since it gets hot and some foursomes can slow down groups behind them (we had four groups trapped behind a foursome).
Nice, pleasant spot to play locally. Not the most executive type place, but great range of play
Best view in town !
First time playing golf at Scholl Canyon, and I had a wonderful time. New to playing golf and recently retired. I have plans on going back.
Excellent! We were looking for a new course in the Pasadena area and discovered Scholl Canyon on the Internet. Very reasonably priced with a cart, (however, I cant imagine playing the course without a cart, very steep on the back!) Beautiful views and nice people. Well go back!
Great price, nice people, friendly staff. Greens were rolling fast at 8am
Staff couldnt have been better. Course is in fairly good shape.
Short course but difficult greens. Join the players club here, your game will improve. Wade is the pro there, hes an awesome instructor.
Nice location. The views here are great. Just with it wasnt right next the land fill.
Great place!
Great challenging part 3 &4 course. Best practice course in Southern California.
The golf course is in pretty good shape especially the greens but it gets crowded now especially on the driving range but you cant beat the price and the people are super friendly
30 bucks a month gets you free range balls and discounted green fees executive challenging course with great views of downtown LA
Bring cold water with you it gets pretty hot in the sun with no shades. Weekends get pretty crowded.
Nice views
Good place to play for full 18 courses within 4 hours.
Not well kept (at all).
This is my local early a.m. golf spot. Its usually a great spot when you dont have much time. My last experience was worthless. The greens were shaved and not cleaned. what was the point? Its usually a great am spot. Dont go too early though. If you do, ask if the greens are done. Bill is great!
Great views from the course but bring a lot of balls because its easy to lose them off the mountain if you arent on target.
On a clear day you can see for miles. Nice course.
Beautiful views. Staff is very nice. Definitely will come back.
This is one of the most fun places to play that I know of, outside small rural courses. Most weekend rounds in LA either cost north of $100 or take six hours (and occasionally both). We got through a round Saturday in just over three hours. The course is short, but not executive short; there are half a dozen holes where most people can hit driver... although on many of those, hitting driver is dangerous, especially on the back nine, which has cliffs, ravines, one or two blind pins (depends on where its set on #17), and other interesting hazards. Because its a relatively short course, it works for most players. Many greens have big slopes, which makes putting a challenge. The staff is friendly. Now, two caveats. First, it is a muni, an inexpensive muni, and thus its heavily trafficked, with a certain amount of hardpan (and a certain amount of ducking as people yell Fore, since many of the holes have minimal separation). Second, the greens are marked by little digs because of the (!@*#&s who dont repair their ball marks. But for the price and the smaller investment of time and the fun holes (back nine especially) and the view, nothing beats it.
Pretty fun though short little golf course. Very tricky greens, and except for the dump next door, beautiful vistas.
I was in scholl caynon on 10/28/2017 in the evening. There were certian people practicing in golf range. My family have two players member since April of this year(my son is under age) and we were really enjoying the membership since the scholl caynon has decent and neat golf course and range as well good customer services. He was so rude to cut my words when I talked to him.I would have understood if he had told me the reason why we can not take two buckets at one time.He said that this is a rule you have to obey and he even threatened me that he can shut down golf course if he wanted now.He was so unprofessional and rude and kept saying it doesn’t matter.I believe that he had wrong pride of the ownership.Hope that that person would treat people in proper way and don’t cut people’s words(i felt so offended) even you are right and right thing to do.You might want to pursuade people not abusing power since this country is free country and I have the freedom of speech and expression. You are so free to contact and call me regarding of this.
Nice Staff, awesome Pro, Beautiful View!
Well kept... great service!
Phil from pro shop is so unprofessional and gives no respect to customers what so ever... Other wise a nice place but not sure why they let someone like him manage the bookings..
