This place is amazing! Respectful resting place of the stars, plus art, architecture, and acres of manicured grass. Worth a visit, youll be surprised with what you see! Sorry no interior pix, please respect their No Photography request.

Really awesome. Really cool sights, paintings, and sculptures. The big one at the end is cool too but the guy they have partraying Jesus sounds either like a villain from an old James bond movie or someone from a biker gang. Something along those lines. A little weird... BUT really cool. Would definitely go again.

So beautiful! Rolling hills, sweeping vistas and lots and lots of dead people. Underground of course but oh theyre there! Still, its quite tranquil. At the top resides a small.museum and a chapel and an unparalleled view of Glendale and downtown L.A. The chapel is a copy of an old English church from the 900s and the museum has an actual Easter Island statue as well as some gorgeous bronze and marble sculptures. Also up top is two GIGANTIC paintings of the crucifixion, one that was lost for decades which is so large and long it was wrapped around a telephone pole until it was rediscovered and a companion piece painted specifically for the cavernous hall built around it. All in all Id say Forest Lawn Glendale is well worth the visit even if you dont have someone to bury which while it may be the reason the place exists it has much more to offer than dirt.

A free museum that offers so much that it seems like it being free is almost a crime. My favorite part is the amazing view of Glendale from the open space right in front of the museums entry way. There is plenty of parking. The views on a clear day are exhilarating.

An amazing experience, the painting of the crucifixion was very moving and breathtaking. Visiting the mausoleum was also very worth seeing a life size replica of the last supper in stained glass is an experience you wont soon forget. If you have an extra couple of hours this place is very worth the time to visit.

Its a park! Yes, we dont tend see places of worship and burial as parks but thats exactly what Forest Lawn is....a park. Place of comfort. If you get to cross the majestic gates...over seeing the water ponds....make your way up the hill to the museum. Grand views of Glendale overlooking toward the San Gabriel Mountains. Beautiful place...may the souls that are there rest in peace.

Ive been coming here for close to 10 years now, visiting my grandfathers grave. Back then the price for a burial spot was about 8K to 10K. Now its most likely doubled. The crew that works on the trimmings & maintenance are very diligent & get things done day to day basiss. I appreciate the management staff here, for assistance when a few years back the Terracotta flower bowl I would place on my grandfathers grave got moved to a different persons headstone. Having realized the workers moved it when they run the grass trimming tractor, so they wouldnt run over it, placed the pot back on the wrong grave. Once I talked with the management that never happened again. I still think the workers are doing an excellent job on keeping the place looking very neat & tide.

Although odd that its housed within a cemetery, the Forest Lawn Museum is home to Jan Stykas painting of The Crucifixion, the largest framed mounted to canvas painting in the world. Jan Styka is a Polish Painter who produced large historical, battle-piece, and Christian religious panoramas.A beautiful, big mural with a short video before its reveal to give everyone in the audience some context. The short film and reveal are free. Just be sure to google what time the museum opens and presents the panorama as its scheduled.
