Its a nice little park, but a shame its in such deep shade in November. Will have to revisit in August, I suppose. Great thrill to see airplanes that close by, but the biggest hit was the parking garage next to the cellphone parking lot at BWI. Go up in an elevator with mirrors on the ceiling, walk down the stairs in the next one which echoes like a cave and since ts deserted, I encouraged yelling

Running trail wasnt interesting. But great view of landing planes.

Park is always busy on the weekend. Come early to find a parking spot. Mix of old, young, singles, married with kids and people with pets. Always a fun time, especially for kids that love to watch airplanes take off and land at the BWI.

Can be a bit crowded in the parking area. However the trail is wide enough that even with a crowd it now crowded. The planes seem inches above the trees when coming in. The observation area is spacious. The aircrafts are visible from miles out.

Good spot to spend time w/family, friends, special someone, as well as a great photo op to capture the planes landing.

Such a nice place to take the kids for some outdoor activity and play areas. Dont forget to pack a picnic basket to enjoy on nice days.

Nice but the bicyclists go like 60 mph. watch out for little kids on the trail or theyll get run down. they should at least get a damn bell.

Very nice rest stop when biking the BWI trail loop. My family really enjoys watching the planes land.

Great playground for kids different ages, and of course kids get the added bonus of plane watching. A little more shade would be nixe. Also, I wish children were all required to wear their masks at playgrounds, at least 2 and up. Mask on Maryland banner should be posted - just a thought.

Very convenient. Good parking. Fun to sèe the air traffic. Biking next to the 4 lane highway was a bit distracting.

Great little hidden gem! Took the nephews for a picnic and to watch the planes. I was just as thrilled as they were! Nice trail nearby to walk off the PBJs. Got a bit crowded so we left early, but it was well worth the drive.

Took the kids there for the airport loop bike trail. Had a ball. Nice views also.

OMG every knew this place existed my new favorite place I love watching airplanes and this is the perfect spot it has a playground for the little kids.

My children love seeing the airplanes take-off and land. I would give the park 4-stars due to the limited parking, but Ive given it 5-stars because there are ample walking and bike paths available to use to get from further parking areas. If you are coming here to ride the bike paths I recommend parking further from the park to allow families with small children to use the parking lot.

If you are a plane enthusiast this park is for you. Excellent place to watch the inbound planes. Nice path that circles the airport. Open dusk till dawn. Thoroughly enjoyed just relaxing band watching the planes come in. Excellent spot.

Good turnaround/start point. Street parking. A couple of picnic tables/benches. No rest rooms, but plenty of nature if necessary.

A very nice park right near the flight line of BWI Airport. Theres a nice playground for children. Also has a great trail for walking, jogging and bike riding.

Its a nice place to watch planes come in and land. A nice little park for small children to play. There was an ice cream truck just sitting nearby. That was nice. There is also a nice paged area to ride bikes, walk your animals, or take a stroll down. Four stars because I didnt see a restroom

Beautiful scenery, clean, and family and pet friendly

Nice looking playground but the ground is made up of recycled chopped up tires. When kids pick it up it turns their hands black and also there are bees flying around everywhere here. Like there is absolutely no way to avoid all of the bees that constantly circle this playground as the kids are playing and that in itself is not safe or comfortable.The best thing to do here is stay in your car and watch the planes take off from bwi and fly over the park.

This is a great spot in the area to take the kids to watch the planes land at BWI. Small park area and a trail to walk along. The parking lit is small and fills up quick on the weekends.

The pales fly really close the ground here and it’s really cool to bring your kids for that experience

Really nice little playground for kids. Having the planes landing over them is really exciting for them as well and very inspiring. Parking lot is tiny though and needs to be bigger.

Airplanes! They fly right over! Kids (of all ages) love that (if they are ok with the loudness). It depends on air traffic and wind for frequency and landing vs. takeoff. The climbing apparatus here is nice, giving our kid some nice challenges, and slides of various sizes.This is also a great place to park to use the airport loop trail if you can find a space. It was a long bike ride for some friends who dont ride often, and I was a bit sore the next day, but the good kind of sore to verify at least I got a workout from all the ups and downs. Since it is a dedicated bike path, it is much safer than some other popular trails, and the loop passes some business areas to stop for a lunch or smoothie along the way.

Bike trail gets confusing once reaching terminal

This is a lovely park adjacent to the aircraft observation area. The park is heavily used but is very well kept. The only caveats are the families who leave their trash right in the play areas when there are trash bins close by...

Very nice for love ones together and enjoy having fun!

A little crowded but always enjoy taking my granddaughter there to watch the planes.

A fantastic park. For young ones there is everything. A playground, a forest to walk / ride a bike through, and most importantly, planes! The planes flying over at such a low altitude is an amazing sight and all age groups can appreciate that. This is a park I will go back to.

Great place to watch airplanes land and take off but only when the bees are not out. They ruin the whole experience. Nice play area for the kids as well but again only during the time when there are no bees flying around.

Great place to go and watch the planes take off from BWI. They fly right over head. Its awesome. Even better at night cause the planes are all lit up. And theres a playground there for the kids.

I believe the friendship park is the airplane park, looking at the photo for it. And it really is amazing for younger kids. I took my 3 year old, whose always pointing out the planes and she was soooo amazed and so excited just because of the airplanes because they fly down that close that you can actually see how big they really are. It also has a great playground, could be updated a little. They also have air pumps available for the bike riders. It is a great park for kids, and even adults looking for a nice bike ride or just a stroll down the trail.

Cant see planes taking off or landing from location because there are LOTS trees lining both sides of the area. So ALL you see is AFTER the plane has taken off & is IN THE AIR but still low to the ground....OR the planes going overhead on the approach TO land. You are too far away to ACTUALLY see then TOUCHING down OR LIFTING off. Ill have to go to BWI to the actual observation deck to see what Im interested in seeing.

Went at 4pm on a Sunday thinking it would be dead....whew it wasnt! Quite crowded but the kids still had a blast and loved seeing the airplanes. Their hands, shoes and legs got pretty black from the rubber mulch and they couldnt stop playing with it.

Great place to watch the planes! Small playground that is HOT on hot days (full sun) but fun. Portapotties only if youre bringing little ones. Parking lot can get full on nice weekend days.

I love plane watching. My only wish would be about parking. If there were only room to have an area for trail user parking and one for plane watching.

Great bike trail

Great fun for kids. The playground is big and well filled with rubber tire mulch. The viewing of airplanes is also excellent. I wish so much though that they would expand the size of the parking lot. Its a real problem. So many bike riders for the trail use the parking and obviously leave their cars for an extended time. That makes it either impossible to go or you have to walk a long distance with young kids.

Clean and well maintained trail. Seems more suited for bikers then walkers. Cool place to watch planes take off but also creates alot of noise while on the trail.

My son absolutely loves this place. Great place to watch planes and some seating as well. The only downside is the parking situation. Bicyclists park in the same lot to access the trail, so I had to stalk a spot like it was Black Friday at the mall.

Nice park... Clean and comfortable observation area for BWI airport flights. The trails and bike and run friendly and the parking is adequate. Local construction and limited facilities limit to 4 stars.

This is where the B&A trailhead begins. Also the airport loop is here. Parking is at a premium in the warm weather. Get there early.

Great wildlifeThis place is amazing.The most notable species we saw was the six lined racerunner.Also you find oakworms in fallBut be aware that wasps nest under the rock piles around the trail. Be careful there.Many birds are seen to.In the flowers you can find many bee species and the open grasses are a great place to get 3 feet closer to song sparrows. Great place great wildlife.

My toddler loved this park! It was great, quiet, lots of trees, shade, and picnic tables - theres also a volleyball area with sand, and tennis courts.
