If you want to have a great time doing something different, here is the place. We celebrated my sisters 50th birthday party here. Staff is great - Stacy allowed us to come in a little early to put up some decorations and was super helpful and welcoming. Martin and John, our two coaches, were so super patient and funny! Even if you have never thrown an ax before, it is really fun to learn with the coaches they give you. Our entire group was thrilled with our experience here and cant wait to do this again. Thank you again!!

My girlfriend and I went to Primitive Axe on 9.6.20. It was the first time axe throwing for either of us. We had such an AWESOME time! First, the space itself is very appealing. The woman at the counter was extremely welcoming. Our instructor, George, was out of this world. He was informative, patient, and a whole lot of fun. He took his time demonstrating, giving us pointers, and explaining games we could play once we got the hang of it. He definitely enjoys his job and it shows. Well worth the money. We will definitely be returning!

Hospitality abounds at Primitive Axe! The facility is well kept and clean. The front desk staff are very friendly and accommodating. The manager allowed my friend access to a private room so she could use her breast pump. We could not be more grateful for a wonderful time! Thanks for making our friends bachelorette party a success!

Went for a friends birthday. Social distancing was great. The guy teaching me how to throw the axes was fantastic and very patient with me as u was awful at first and helped me finally get it. The girl at the counter was slightly rude but everything else was great and had a fun time in the midst of a horrible time in the world

We had a great time! We went with my daughter, her husband, my son and his girlfriend. It was so much fun. I am not very strong but had a great time! I even hit the target a few times! The people are so friendly and the place is very clean and family friendly.So I brought my entire work team back and rented the whole place a few days back for training and team building. Another stellar performance by their team. From the beginning to the end great people to deal with. Says a lot about their ownership that they value not only customers but their own team members. First timers! We had a group of friends (14 total) get together for my husband’s birthday. Most of us were new to axe throwing. I was able to bring snacks for everyone to enjoy. Everyone was able to bring their favorite drinks. Our host (not sure of his title) was great! Fun and helpful yet professional. If you’re looking for something different to do with a group of friends I would recommend this!!!

Amazing experience! Went with a fair-sized work group and were with an axe-throwing coach for two hours who really made the experience amazing. If youre new to it, they do a great job of making it fun and easy to learn. I 100% recommend.

We were able to rent out the entire facility for 3 hours for our employee holiday party this year. EVERYONE raved about it! We had a lot of fun and the coaches and staff were awesome. Everyone was very friendly and helpful from the first contact to the end of the party. The entire process was painless and Adam was always patient with my 1000 questions/e-mails. This was such a great experience, Im looking forward to having another event in the near future!

Booked a group for my husbands birthday and had a great time! Signed waivers beforehand so it took some of the pressure off when we got there, they had a fridge available for our drinks, and our axe expert Buddy was really friendly and helpful! Also suggest Martin for a guide!

The facility and our coaches were great! Our group was large - and unfortunately we had 2 separate medical emergencies that caused us to have some little confusion over waivers and headcount. We were able to work through it and at the end of the day, everyone had a great time.My only advice would be to remember that spectators pay as well.

I had my gender reveal here and everyone had a great time. Adam helped me figure out how I could involve the reveal with the ax throwing and answered any questions I had. The coaches were awesome and kept everything running smoothly.

Had a party of 13 for our office staff and families. Friendly and well designed center. Site manager was friendly and professional. Our coach/trainer (Martin) was entertaining and helpful. Devon our second coach had just started working at this facility and was learning the ropes. He was also very helpful. Well definitely go back in the future.

I had my fiances bachelor party here this past weekend and everyone LOVED it!! I was not in attendance, but I did plan it and did all the setting up. The place is extremely nice and all staff was very pleasant and easy to deal with. We are planning another get together there after the wedding. Thank you for a great experience!!

Okay so this isnt a restaurant, but I will shoot a quick review now that Ive been here a few times. The staff are wonderful, the facilities are clean and well maintained, and there is no better use of your down time than to pop a few beers in their fridge and hurl some axes into wood!

We were a party of four, two couples. There was a learning curve, but we got the hang of it quickly. The women are considering giving up quilting and taking up ax throwing as a new hobby!

We had Junk and Emily as coaches. They were absolutely awesome the entire time. Our book club had a blast and it was fantastic. I can’t wait to come back.

Always a good time! You can bring your own food and drinks. Just make sure you get there on time to get a full 2 hours, because it’s so worth it!

He showed us the correct technique lots of times, then laughed with us & shuck his head when we did it wrong. Make sure you bring your drinks with as they dont sell alcohol. We had a great time Saturday night at the Blackwood location. Had a group of 9 and only 1 had gone before. Everyone had a blast and were talking about it for the weekend. My husband is now obsessed and wants to join the league lol Jimmy was our instructor and he was great. Super nice and helpful. He also joined in and cracked jokes with us. It was like we was apart of our group. We will definitely be back for sure.

My wife made the reservation and I honestly wasnt looking forward to going but we had a very good time. It works as a fun activity because everyone can do it. You dont need to be a world class athlete or a ninja to learn it quickly and be competent at it.

I took my three kids here for Valentine’s Day (ages 14, 11, and 9). We all had a blast!!

We booked 2 lanes and upon arrival they canceled one of our lanes. Due to this we ran a little over our time frame. Three minutes after we finished, Staff member Amanda (who wasn’t even our coach) came up to our party at 10:30pm and told us it was very rude to hang around since they closed a half hour ago. Mind you their website states they are open until 11pm and other parties were still throwing. We had a blast with our coach Emily but overall our experience was ruined by Amanda. She is a terrible person and Primitive Axe should be ashamed of her work ethic and lack of customer service.

We all had an incredible time. Our coach Jimmy was truly the best. We will definitely be going back soon !!!

For our first time to one of these places, we enjoyed every single second and will be definitely going back. Our instructor Drew was outstanding. I managed to shatter 2 axes, another person in our group split an axe and almost threw the axe through the plywood wall and he STILL was an awesome host/instructor. Great atmosphere and definitely a place to get out with friends!

I was planning a birthday party and had emailed the company a few weeks in advance because I invited a few people who were on call that weekend, and weren’t sure if they would be able to make it until that day. Since you have to pay for the amount of people you book for whether they show or not, I asked if it was okay to book the minimum amount of people for 2 arenas and if we could just add on to our party the day of, I got an email back saying that was perfectly fine and they could accommodate us for that.The day of my reservations came and when they called to confirm my reservations they then told me they had only reserved 1 arena for us (even though I booked and paid for 2 arenas). I explained that I had already emailed them in regards to additional people coming but they were on call so I didn’t have an exact number, which was why I booked 2 arenas. The woman then proceeded to tell me “well we are already booked up, so I guess we can just try to extend your time if more people come”.Once we arrived, it was very chaotic. They told some people in our group to pay upon arrival, they told others they could pay at the end, but half way thru our orientation, 2 women came over and were very rude about people not paying. She then proceeded to say “well we don’t want people to start drinking and then forget to pay”, which is understandable, but they should just have people pay as they arrive, and not give an option to pay at the end. She also was arguing with me over the amount of people in my party. She had an extra person, and I kept explaining we had 15 not 16 and she turns the iPad around and says “here, this is everyone who signed up under your name”. When I got to a name I didn’t recognize the other girl then chimed in and said oh yeah someone put this person under the wrong party I forgot.Once we got to finally start the game and throw we had a great time with our coach Emily. She was very friendly, outgoing, and fun. We did however end up going over the 2 hour time limit as we had additional people show up, so it took a little longer for us to finish our games (If we had, had the 2 arenas I booked, we could have finished on time). About 3-5 minutes after we finished throwing, we were standing behind our arena, packing up and saying our goodbyes and another staff member Amanda came over again very rude, and told us they closed a half hour ago (at this point it was 10:30pm and their hours are until 11:00pm according to their website) and we needed to leave and that we can’t just hang around. We explained that we literally just got done our game, and we were trying to get all of our stuff together, and she said well I could of told you to get the f**k out but I didn’t. Mind you there were still 4 or 5 other arenas that still had people at them, so we weren’t the only party left in the building. Emily again was great, and apologized for Amanda’s behavior. We then talked to a manager, who again was not very friendly either. So overall it was not the best experience and I would not recommend going there.

Amazing facility, they just built it. Loved it! Was a little nervous but they have coaches who teach you how to throw. A lot of fun for a group of 4 or more.

Ive been axe throwing many times and I hate to say how disappointed I was. We called ahead said we were walk ins they said fine. They didnt mention they have 2 glassboro locations we went to the wrong one w.e its fine we ubered to the right one the lady at the desk was super nice about it and honestly felt bad but that location doesnt do walk ins. Get the the one in the outlets... omg... first of all I am almost certain the lady behind the counter was high and couldnt care less about us... when she said $100 for an hour I almost fell over because your website said $25 ...never said that is the per person price! They probably should say that ..... I double checked today also... the instructor was cool he was pre occupied by the other group he had tho also but he was very nice .... over all for the price I highly recommend going else where...

My favorite local place to throw axes, even by myself. The employee also taught me different techniques and was helpful in explaining the right process.
