I have been armed for 20 years under my second amendment right but recently have felt I needed to bring the gun from my car onto my person. Dan is a great teacher and a patriot! He will teach the laws and the mindset needed to keep yourself safe and out of jail too. Highly recommend!

Took Dans class just over a year ago. I rarely post reviews but here I feel I must. This class (which I thought would be very boring) was actually a fun and informative afternoon. If I had to do the class over, no question I would go with Texan Defender again! If youre unsure,g him a call, after talking with him youll know youre making the right decision.

Dan is a great instructor. Very knowledgeable, easy going and funny. He tells you what you need to know without boring you to death. He has his own range for doing your shooting side of the testing. They also have a Groupon discount. My daughter went with me and loved it too. I highly recommend his class.

Great LTC-100 class! The instructor Dan was very knowledgeable and informative. His style of conducting the class was professional and engaging. I would highly recommend this place to anyone needing to complete their LTC-100.

The License to Carry class was excellent. The instructor taught everything in a way that was easy to understand. He took the class and the topics very seriously and was good-natured at the same time, and he was interesting to listen to so that it did not feel like an all-day event. They keep the gun range safe and clean.

Highly recommend this class. Informative and clear teaching with plenty of real world examples. Youre able to ask any questions you want along the way, as its not a stiff class setting. Dan knows the laws and rules and terms front to back and makes sure there is no stone left unturned. Education is the priority! The actual shooting range was organized and easy to get to. Even if you are just looking to learn more about gun laws and gun responsibility, you should take this class. Im so glad I did.

My husband and I took the class last Saturday Mr. Dan was very informative, and extremely nice. He answered every question that was asked. Mr. Dan was very patient with those who needed a little extra time and help. I will definitely recommend him to everyone I know.

This is a great place to take your CHL. Dan explains the course thoroughly and keeps the conversation fun and engaging. He will answer all of your questions and ensure you succeed in this course. The range part is not hard at all, make sure you know your way around a gun, a shooting range (safety etiquete), and shoot straightHighly recommend this class! Also there is a groupon around so you can take the course for 50% off

Took the LTC class here last week and it was great. Information needed was given in a conversation format vs just being thrown at you. Trust the instructors knowledge and respected his professionalism. His personal range you go to qualify for shooting was pretty nice as well.

Very good class! Very informative & laid back. Instructor was laid back and comfortable. Shooting portion of the class is precise & strict so be prepared for instructions. They will help you and correct your form if needed. I learned a lot and feel very confident in carrying my handgun now. If you dont like a laid back atmosphere this isnt the place for you.

First time looking LTC/CHL class. Looked through COUNTLESS of places to see which one are the best. I finally went with Texan Defender and let me tell you my exprrience. DAN is the Man, he try go make you feel as comfortable as possible while getting the point across. He will also answer all of your questions even if its stupid. If youre 2nd guessing or still trying to decide to what company to go through. Listen to me, take this class at Texan Defender and take it for what its worth. You will not regret it.

Got a lot out of this class. Dan was very knowledgeable and professional with the presentation and he kept the atmosphere comfortable and laid back. That is hard to do anymore, Way to to go Dan! HIGHLY recommend this place to get your CHL

Dan and Rick were great! They improved my shooting skills immensely. They were very informative about gun safety. I would recommend they to anyone from beginner to expert marks men.

Very informative, and helpful! Dan is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of firearms and the laws pertaining to them. Would most definitely recommend to friends and family!

My wife and I completed Texas Defenders CHL course this past Saturday and was extremely satisfied. Dan was very knowledgeable and thorough. We have recommended Texas Defenders to family/friends already.

Great experience! Laid back but serious coverage of material for CHL. Made learning what could be very boring interesting with stories and scenarios. Definitely recommend.

Took the LTC class this weekend with a groupon for $60. Knowing what I know now I’d pay full price in a heartbeat and should have done it years ago. Great class and emphasis on the laws / responsibility involved in carrying was way more informative than I expected. Can’t recommend enough Dan was great!

Instructors were very knowledgeable. They maintained a safe fun environment.

I recently took the LTC class at Texan Defender as well as their beginner pistol course. All of the instruction was top notch, and I felt confident with my pistol afterwards. John Rendell is an awesome instructor and really funny while also making sure you know what youre doing. Its a pretty laid back environment and Im looking forward to taking more advanced classes there if theyre ever offered. If you want a good laugh bring a Glock hat and see what John says ;) Texan Defender is the place to go for firearm training!

Would not recommend. Texan Defender has a particular audience in mind and has no problem alienating people who dont fit within FOX News conceptualization of a true American. Hard to stomach.

Great CHL Class !
