Clean movie theater. Price is average, snacks are good. Most of the employees are very friendly, some are just there to make $ you can tell.
It is your typical movie theater. It has big auditoriums with plenty of seating. Concessions are pricey, as usual at a theater, but they have a decent variety of other goodies beyond popcorn and candy. The facility is in good, clean condition. Overall a decent theater for the area.
The entire White Oak 1 has a single theater because it is an adapted live stage theatre! A very cool movie experience, especially to see a fandom movie. Word of warning, you’re watching a movie with a few hundred people. If that’s not your thing, you may want to check out other places, but I think this adds to this theater’s charm! If you want drinks or snacks get there early because everyone arrives in the same 30 minute window (only one screen). Same thing with restrooms, though I didn’t have a long wait. The theater is smack dab in a restaurant walking area-and the DC metro-so it was very easy to walk from our restaurant to get to the movie.(The photo of below is from the very back right/middle corner.)
I always have a great experience here. The theater is clean and comfortable. Ive enjoyed this and other local Regal Cinemas even more since purchasing their unlimited plan at $18/month. I wish it would get me a discount on Fatham Events, however. Nevertheless, Im getting double my moneys work in movies now that Im on the plan!
Cant go wrong in this theater. The sound system is nice and the chairs are comfortable and clean. The staff seems to be helpful and ready to make your visit completely satisfying.
Great theater. Clean, nice seats. Buy tickets ahead of time as seating location is assigned first come first serve. Wine and beer is also available
It was nice to visit again...went to watch Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. Staff was friendly, theatre clean and seats comfortable. Overall a very enjoyable and worthwhile visit.
Very good theater with great shows. For the price, the seating couldve better, such as recliners. staff is friendly but sparse. Lines are long for snacks, and there isnt any butter for the popcorn. The theater is large, and comfortable. The sound system is too loud though. I would go back but skip the lines, and attend a matinee for $1.00 less.
Very clean in the theatre, nice bathrooms, and clean movie screens. I cant count how many other theatres Ive been to where the screen had some kinda gunk or dirty streak down it. Saw Harriet and enjoyed it
This is the first theater that I’ve been to that ran out out of popcorn. We settled in cheese sticks and it took 15+ minutes. The cleanliness in the theater was horrible. No clean up between movies. I will drive the additional distance for a better experience next time.
Ive been to several other Regals and was in the area so visited this one. I ordered tickets online and didnt visit the concession so cant comment on that. But was disappointed in the actual theater room. Went to see a major movie and this didnt have the reclining seats. The seat beside me squeaked everytime the person moved. And it was very clear the staff didnt clean between showings. Plus we had to go tell staff at first that the sound was off.
Great theater! Long wait in concession lines. Waited for 25 minutes to get popcorn and drink. Needs to have separate lines for hot food orders and just popcorn and drinks, candy bars etc.
Only go movies in proximity to garner. Well staffed. It’s a movie theater you know popcorn and so on.
This is one of two theaters in my area. You can select your seats. The food was okay and the sound was good.
This is your average Regal Movie Theater, nothing special. Theaters seats are decent, sometimes clean, sometimes not. My biggest gripe of this place is the concession stand. WOW, talk about unorganized. If its a busy night, make sure you allow yourself at least an extra 30 minutes to get your popcorn and soda. If you want a beer, good luck, there is usually 1 manager (of age worker) that can get said beverage for you. It amazes me that a large company with hundreds if not thousands of movie theaters cant come up with a good system to service customers at the concession stand. The whole process could be streamlined so much better to get more people through and turn more profit on the $8 a bag popcorn. You can tell there is minimal training for the staff that work the registers and when you do order a beer, they wait helplessly or wander off looking for the person to get the drink. I usually avoid getting food if the line is longer than 4 people, and I really want popcorn or a beer! FIX THE CONCESSION STAND!!
Brrrr Soo Cold...just because it is Wednesday evening and there is less than 6 people is no reason to not turn on the heat. It was super freezing in the theaters.I had to go and ask them twice to turn on the heat. A freezing theater is like saying to your customers that our comfort does not interest you at ALL. Both movies were excellent BTW.You would have gotten at least 4 Stars if you had the heat on in your theatres.I will not be back any time soon. You charge too much for seniors and you need a better matinee price...Much room for improvement.
Good place to see a movie. The lobby was clean, as well as the theater and the restrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our movie (Knives Out).
Expensive reserved seats, but old theater. Basic old uncomfortable seats not new recliners like other similarly priced locations. The movie didnt start on time. The lights were left on until another patron got up and asked them to be turned off. Lights didnt turn on after movie which made it hard to get out. Will not go here again.
Decent theater. Plenty of seating, lots of food choices, and friendly employees. Great for date night.
High staff turnover. Chairs are extremely uncomfortable. You can feel the springs
Regal movie theater is a nice family friendly theater. I like this theater more now because they now sell beer and wine. Which works great for date nights.
There are no recliners at this theater...yet you must pick an assigned seat before entering. Management created this odd social experiment of squeezing strangers together on a few rows in an otherwise empty theater. Stuck behind someone a foot taller than yourself? Or next to that cuddly couple when you’re seated by yourself? Or in front of a row of kids at a Birthday party? Or god forbid your ex? Don’t dare move or you’ll find yourself kicked out of someone else’s assigned seat. If I have to pick a seat and hope for the best, I’ll do it in a leather recliner at a different theater. (PS. If crowded shows are the reason for the seat policy, why not just announce that everyone needs to move in? Or assign seats just for those shows?)
Theater kept clean which is a plus. Called ahead to confirm audio description for blind spouse. Found out it didnt work only when movie started and they could not fix. Very apologetic and gave us 2 return tix. Will go again after they can confirm audio description headset works.
I think the theater is nice and comfortable. I went to a matinee. I think that the customer service could improve. It was earlier in the day. No traffic, all staff I had encountered, especially at concession stand, look like they didnt want to be there...no smiles at all. For the price I paid for the extremely high items at concessions. I need to see a smile and someone saying enjoy.
Good audio/visual, seats, cleanliness. They serve food and alcohol. The popcorn was old. I miss the days when it was popped fresh.
Every.Single.Time-Very poorly managed, IF you do come here make sure you arrive 1 hour before your movie time. They NEVER have enough people working the concessions. Opening weekend of End Game, only 3 lines open. Almost 30 minute wait this time, sadly weve waited longer before. Ive said it before but this time I mean it, we will NOT be back.
Good movie but there were a number of times neither my wife or I could make out what was being said!
It was clean and I like the assigned seating. The employees pretty much acted like theyd rather be elsewhere though.
I always enjoy this Theatre, good & prompt service from all the staff. Ive always been greeted with friendly smiles and a welcoming hello.
Cool movie theater. Love the variety of items sold at the concession stand. Just hate the price$$$
Just stinks in certain rooms .. need to clean a little more! Germs spread! Overall good staff an very pricey food! But it is the movies
Excellent theater. My only complaint is the time it takes to get your food. Should be all hands on deck 30 minutes before the movie starts and that isnt the case.
Overall a nice place but there are things I didnt like. I dont care for the reserved seating. I would rather find some open seating when I arrive in the theater rather than sitting next to ppl who like to use their phone during the movie among other distractions. The lighting was also distracting. There was a star shaped light on the wall that kept flickering that I could see during the movie. The overhead light where I was seated seemed to be brighter than the others. If I have a similar experience here again I may not go back. For the amount of money I pay I expect a better experience.
Just got back from the theater after a very bad experience. Went to see Uncut Gems and about an hour into the movie, the power went out. The employees got the movie back up and running forty minutes later. Forty five minutes after that, the sound cut off and the previews started rolling for the beginning of the next movie scheduled in that auditorium. We asked the manager if they would let us watch the last 20 or so minutes of the movie and they said they could not do that. They gave us a ticket to any future show but did not give our money back since it was either or. You would think they would let us finish the movie since we gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited so we could watch the end of the movie but I guess that is not how Regal runs their company. I would HIGHLY recommend not watching a movie at this theater or any Regal theater. I will not be giving Regal any business ever again.
Went to see avengers endgame at a 7pm showing. We were there an hour early, got seated about 30 minutes before hand, then got our seats and went to concessions for some snacks. It took everything we could do to get back before the movie started. We stood in line at concessions for 20+ minutes. The popcorn we received was cold, our large cokes were warm with no ice and tasted like they had been left in the car on a hot day for several hours. The theatre sound wasn’t very loud, at times it was very hard to hear some of the conversations happening in the film, and the picture quality seemed very dim compared to how it usually is. Overall, not a great experience. I’ve been coming here for years and have never ran into many problems, but as of late it seems the price of everything is going up and the quality is going down. May be time to take my money elsewhere.
I took my teenage daughter and her friends to see the new Dora movie while I went to watch Downton Abbey.I bought a ticket for my daughter and one for myself without any trouble. When my daughter’s two friends arrived, they were unable to buy their tickets because an adult was not going to the same movie as them. Apparently there is a policy that says on the weekend if you are under 18 and after 4:00 p.m. a teenager under 18 cannot see a movie without an adult. This prohibits us from attending this theater. We had to return our tickets and leave. It would seem more reasonable to address individual problems with teens and not limit the public from using the theater reasonably. Beware of this before you buy your tickets. Was not a pleasant experience.
I came to the movie theater at 11 am because that is what was listed on Google. Workers were in the theater but ignoring us at the door even when we knocked. A manager finally came to the door and informed us in a very choppy like manner that the theater opens 30 minutes before the first showing. Now I dont have a problem with this, but if you know that Google has the wrong time listed then its not the first time this has happened. The manager could use a little more care and personality when interacting with customers, instead of treating us like we interrupted her from another task. Then again I came up in a world where your customers and how you treat them is everything.
I ordered food from here and I noticed it was made by a man with his hair all out and not tied up properly. He also was not wearing gloves.
Always friendly crew members, good selection of refreshments.. nice local theater.
Nice clean facility no complaints. Staff was nice.
Clean and pleasant. Not too crowded for a Saturday night!
Great place to watch a movie. Clean and not crowded.
Always clean And close to decent restaurants, perfect for movie/dinner date!
Absolutely disgusted by the assigned seats policy. My wife and I were in 2 seats for 30 minutes and watched all of the ads and trailers until we were rudely interrupted by this forceful woman who claimed we were in her seats. If she wanted to watch the movie then she should up showed up when it started at 7:30pm and not 8pm. When I purchased tickets to the movie, the cashier didnt say a word about our seats. After looking at my tickets after the movie started, we were assigned to row A which is the front row. NO ONE BUYS ROW A TICKETS!!!! This is a scam by the theater to sell out the movie. Wont be back! SCAM!
Uncomfortable chairs in the theater we were in (9). The overall experience was okay but you could tell they were having a hard time keeping up with the cleaning during the holiday rush.
Great movie theater for Garner. The food menu could be expanded but overall I really enjoy the new assigned seating and I think its in a great location.
This is our local theater, and want to offer positive criticism. The place has amazing potential to provide a great movie experience. You have all services and systems in place to deliver this. One word ATTITUDE. Every station had two people there, yet their focus was NOT the customer. You have to instill an onstage mindset as one experiences from Disneys castmembers. Yesterday we were given a purchased ticket, told what side our movie was showing on, offered upgrade to consume the larger drink and large popcorn...No smile, thank you, enjoy your movie. You will not fail or continue to get bad reviews if you improve from the reviews. Good luck and please dont send me a survey link.
Nice theater. Show up about 30 minutes later than what your ticket says though. Average is 30 minutes of advertising and preview . 9 bucks for a beer is kind of outrageous. Overall not a bad experience though.
Went to the movies and this place is great for a movie and also had my nails done at the nail shop within walking distance to the movie theater
Ive been going here for years, usually a pretty good movie going experience.
A no frills kind of theater. Nothing spectacular about the concessions, but the staff is friendly and the overall place is clean.
Large, clean, comfortable and reasonable loud audio volume. I enjoyed seeing Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker here.
I usually go to the Regal in Cary, but they didn’t have any available seats for the Lion King so I had to come here. The bathrooms were disgustingly filthy. Toilet paper everywhere and no soap in the dispensers. The hand dryer wasn’t even working properly. They don’t have the recliners either and the seats they do have aren’t very comfortable. Definitely won’t be returning to this location.
Movie was good we saw Dr. Sleep but I dont like having to pre-select seats. There were people in our seats. I had to ask them to move.
Enjoy every visit as it was my first time. Large seating areas and friendly staff. Great place to spend time
This new assigned seating is petty and unnecessary. It delays process at the ticket window from lengthy discussion on where the best place in the theater to sit is. Arguments occur inside the theater about who is in what seat that interrupt the movie.
Be forewarned about their asinine new policy that wouldn’t let my 18 yo take my 8 yo to see The Adams family movie! They literally tried to compare going to see a G rated movie to buying Alcohol at a bar!!
The theater is ok, but the concessions are VERY slow and rude. I have been 2 times in the past month and both times the folks working the concession stand move like the Sloths at the DMV in Zootopia. And when I asked the employee if they could speed up, she said (rudely) that she was going as fast as she could and called her manager to report me as a complainer.
Awesome seats and lots of options to see the newest popular movies.
Theater is fine. Pricing on drinks and snacks has gotten crazy high.
It appeared as if our seats were double booked. I think many others were in the same position. Whats the point of assigned seats if you double book? I enjoyed the movie experience anyway. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Cleanest movie theater
Great theater in town with 14 screens. Watch movies before 5 pm to get a discount.
I have been going to this theatre for years. Always had a great experience and never had any problems. This was the first time that I’ve had a terrible experience here. Arrived 40 minutes before the movie started. Had to stand in line 15 minutes because there was only one ticket booth open. Went to get a popcorn and drink. Stood in line 45 minutes. The guy was so slow. Took him 10-15 minutes to give a popcorn and drink to ONE person. Walked slow wasn’t in a hurry even though there was a long line. Lady in front of me had to tell the manager to help him because it’s ridiculous to be standing in line for this long. He left then came back 10 minutes later to help the cash register guy and didn’t help him at all. Just stood there and looked at all of the people. Missed 10 minutes of the movie. When I was finally able to ask for a popcorn and drink he just took his time and acted like we should be glad that he’s giving us our popcorn and drink. I almost yelled at him to hurry up because he going so slow and being rude about making us wait.
Very good, 5$ water, great star wars movie, loooooved it
Me and my son went to see avengers endgame...loved it! Had a great time...nice and clean, rest room, snack food area and all...stop by sometime!
Had much better movie theater experiences at less pricey locations. No reserved seats and ride uncaring staff. Will go out of my way not to go here unless otherwise enticed.
The theatre was very, very disapointing. My first and last time going there for sure. I feel sorry for the GM because the employees are not very friendly and have very little common sense about small issues. They definately ruined a special evening for my wife and I. The theatre was very tight, hot, and the sound was poor for the movie. I dont like writing negative things because buisnesses have bad days. Although this can be said in many cases, not in this case. I hope they fix the problems there. Cinema is struggling with streaming services straight to your home. I enjoy the movies in the way I grew up in, but if theatres like this continue to run like this they will fail. Its all about customer services and a decent enviroment. Im sorry I chose this theatre to close the Skywalker saga out with. It was an important moment for a lifelong fan but had the night almost ruined by the theatre. I hope for thier sake they fix the problems.
Decent place. Like most places the food is expensive. It does what its supposed to do.
Theater is nice. Dont like the assigned seats once you pay but I can live with it. What I dont like is the advertisement on the cheetos popcorn. Trust me I love that item and I always get it but wish it can be purchased in the container from the picture. Seems larger which I would pay for. I asked the employee but they said its only in the one side bag.So after this review I went to see Star Wars at the 215 viewing. No Cheetos popcorn. The machine was broke. Really its 215 and on a Saturday. Should have a plan B incase something breaks!
Usually a great place to hit a movie, unless Teachers Protest on a Wednesday and youve taken the day off to go...So many kids on May 1st we spent 45 min. waiting to get popcorn and over 20 min. in line for tickets before I bought them on my APP...WOW, talk about under-staffed for a day like this. Thanks to the Teachers protest - Next protest do it on your day off not mine (My husbands birth day celebration did not start off with a bang as was hoped...)
White Oak Theatre has really gone downhill. We went to see a movie there a few months ago and before the movie started, my husband went out to the lobby to grab a drink and a meal from their menu. He waited for 45 minutes for his food and missed a huge portion of the movie. We spoke with a manager and he gave us 2 free tickets for our next visit. A nice gesture, so I didnt get them a bad review.Tonight, however, will be the last time we go to White Oak movie theatre again. As we were making our way to our seats, there was popcorn spilled all over the floor and empty drink cups surrounding our seats. Nobody had bothered to clean up the theatre between showings. Furthermore, there was a child (2-3 years old) on our row who jumped, screamed, talked loudly, ran around, etc. the entire time. Parents were oblivious, apparently. Not once did they try to quiet him down or leave the theatre. Frustrated, I walked into the lobby and saw the manager. I told him about the child and he just replied with Ill send someone in there to check it out. No apology. No sympathy. Nothing. I returned to my seat and a few minutes later, the manager did come in and watch the child behaving the exact way I explained. He said something to the parents, but did not even attempt to apologize to us as he saw us leave the theatre when the movie was over.We are so disappointed and we will not be returning. Do yourself a favor and go to The Alamo movie theatre. The seats are better, it is always clean, the popcorn is unlimited, and the staff doesnt tolerate people on their phones or kids being loud.
Arrived 30 minutes prior to beginning of movie. There were 2 lines selling tickets. One stopped because did not have change for $20 bill. Management was called and did not respond. The lines were very long and it was below freezing and windy. Finally another ticket agent arrived and instead of taking customers from stopped line took persons from end of lines or who just walked up. If that wasnt bad enough once inside it was a 20-25 minute wait for refreshments. The person beside me missed 45 minutes of their movie and I missed 20 minutes. Management said there was nothing they could do about it. Well there is something I can do, never go to White Oak Cinema in Garner again. I am sure there were many other patrons who feel the same way.
Lovw this place great movie theater with comfortable seating great prices and absolutely gorgeous design
Its really expensive but other than that everything is great
Its a great place to see a movie and grab popcorn, soda and/or candy but I havent had a great experience with their entrée food options. I would recommend Almo Draft House or Cinébistro if you want entrée food while youre watching the movie.
I love white oak theater, close to home, good beer, and of course the Cheetos popcorn! If you want to enjoy a movie and a snack come early because service can be slow!
Simple and clean cinema. Buy your tickets at the door and then get checked before you can buy snacks or go to your movie. Snacks are slightly overpriced, but thats expected of theaters. The actual viewing rooms are clean and spacious, no reclining chairs though. 3D is available for some movies.
We always come here. Very nice! But I took away 2 stars because we had to wait 40 minutes in line at the concession stand because they wouldnt open more cash registers.
Movie time was 7:25 pm. However, the previews, concessions ads (3 different ones) delayed the movie by a whopping 40 MINUTES, WHICH IS RIDICULOUS! I mean really? Thus the reason for 1 star.
Things like the seating system make it almost impossible to sit with my little brother or dad when watching movies together. Aside from the seating chart thing I thoroughly enjoy it. I do have a question about student ID: Would a keycard with my name and student number work since thats how we get in and out of school?
Pricey theater for quality that is not up to par with surrounding theaters. No reclining seats and the Soda lacked flavor and the popcorn was stale.
Clean theater, friendly, attentive staff. Concessions are too expensive.
This movie theater has a great selection. When I want to go to the movies. The first movie I saw here was Proud Mary w/ Taraji P. Hinton. The atmosphere in this setting is very calm and it invites you to want to see a movie. The service of the staff is friendly and polite.
The theater is very clean. Seats are comfortable and includes a cup holder on the arm of the chair. Easy access to handicap seating in a wide aisle; stationary seats have safety lighting to warn people who leave during a movie. Food is good - like all theaters its over priced - but better than most. Purchasing tickets the day before makes it easy to get into the theater, get your food, and get in your seat before the rush.
Always wonderful. A very few of the seats need to be replaced but always a good experience. Friendly staff, clean, I dont go anywhere else!
My first time watching a movie here since Ive moved to clayton... it was a great experience and Ill definitely go back!
We always enjoy ourselves. They always have the latest movies and the staff is great
Nice to be able to go to movies and watch a decent encouraging movie. Over comer is a great movie that glorifies the Lord.
Took the kids to see Endgame today (screen 13) and the whole last hour or so of the movie was ruined by the screams of Godzilla in the next theater over. At certain points in the movie, a light would get projected on to the ceiling which was very distracting. I guess it was someone opening a door in the projector room or something. The AC seemed to be cut off during the last hour of the movie and we were all sweating by the end of it. Also, I could be wrong on this, but Im not even sure if the surround sound was working correctly in that theater. The sound quality was just overall poor (like the sound quality during the commercials before the movie starts). This isnt the first poor experience Ive had at this theater, but its the worst. We saw the Lego Movie 2 back in February and the screen was very dim especially around the edges. We saw Wreck It Ralph 2 a few months before that and the motion blur was very bad (you know that scene where they get to the internet and it pans across the landscape were you see a bunch of website logos? That was a blurry mess.).I can put up with some motion blur and dimness on rare occasions, but there always seems to be something wrong every time I come here. Im not the type of person to complain or write bad reviews over the slightest thing, but the bad experience today was enough (The only good thing today is that the projection was at least bright and sharp). A movie I had been waiting to see for a while ruined by the roars of Godzilla - these tickets are entirely way too expensive to have that kind of experience.Edit: I also agree with other reviews about the quality of the popcorn. I have never received fresh popcorn here and I did not purchase any concessions today because I already knew it was going to be worse than the stuff you put in the microwave at home.
The theater is clean and everything is nice about it. The one thing I hate is that they started to assign seats in the theater.
Large theater, has same movie showing in at least 2 theaters to accomodate crowding, great matinee prices..does need more people working in concessions
I have been calling this movie theater for about 10-15 minutes. The number through Google takes you to an information line for all movie theaters. Then they give you the movie theaters number after about 4 questions. Maybe this is a good thing but I now have been calling the movie theater for a while to find out how long the previews are. I havent experienced the customer service or quality of the theater but right now I give them one star. Also the phone line just rings and then hangs up. Blah
Decided to go see Creed for thanksgiving. Not sure why the manager in the box office waved me off as if I was some peasant that didn’t deserve to be there. The crew also was not friendly in the slightest. No greeting, and continued their conversation throughout me buying my tickets. Definitely didn’t feel welcomed so I could care less to be treated the same way at concessions. Granted it is my hometown, I won’t be coming here to watch another movie.
It’s an overall good place but the trailers and advertisements last about 30 minutes after the actual start time of the movie. Instead of putting the start time of the trailers they should put the time of when the actual movie starts.
