Great place for Birthday parties made a reservation and went the day before to make sure everything was ready and found the pavilion a little dirty from people who were previously sitting there but came back on party day and everything was cleaned and prepared for the party!! The only downside was that at 10:30 p.m the lights at the pavilion were shut off automatically while my guest were still there and quickly mosquitos started biting us which caused everyone to leave. Now it said online the park closing time was at 12 p.m but I dont know if that includes the pavilion but other than that it was great!

This is a great park! Word of advice - keep driving around the curve and dont stop short at the school thinking thats the playground. :P The playground has sections for big and little kids, lots to climb on, plenty of swings, and lots of slides that arent too fast for littler ones.There is a LOT of green space to run around and just enjoy being outside. Next time well bring a picnic!Theres a little pond with a trail around it. There are benches, trash cans, and a water fountain. There is a good-sized pavilion with tables and there is also a porta potty.My kiddos and I will definitely be back!

Fun for everyone in the family. Theres a playground and swings for the kids and a nice walking/running trail for everyone else.

The pavilion can be rented out from the Garland Park District. The pavilion is freshly painted and cleaned, very impressed. Well kept BBQ pit and you can see the whole playground easily. Playground accommodates both toddlers and older kids. The lake has a paved walkway around the whole thing plus picnic tables and waste cans. There is a softball/kickball field plus a large, flat open area for running, football, soccer, or playing with your dog. The park is a great gem nestled in a quiet neighborhood.

The maintenance man did a.below average job. Just picked up the parking lot and didnt do anything else from the parking in or around the pond. In a d out in 10 minutes

Hometown park close to your home in the Oaks. We were able to hike for an hour and visit Duck Creek. There is a pond and pavilion as well as new play area accessible to wheel chair and differently abled children.

Best park. Really wish they offered a better picnic area and restroom that wasnt a porter potty.

Nice clean park. It has a portapotty that is regularly cleaned. The playground looked nice. I fished the pond. We caught 2 bass. The area seemed picked up with the occasional bits of trash. It looks like a pond I will visit again.

Please, be careful. Its not a safe place. Someone chased me on 10/15/19 around 8:00 am. A guy came out from one of the houses there and chased me. I wish I could tell to everyone. I have seen people when they walk there regularly.

Filthy!!! Actual socks, beer cans and trash used diapers and such, people just cant respect this beautiful comodity thats meant for this local comunity to use and cherish. Infuriating!!!

Theres a nice little pond to walk around that has a pier. Theres a little bit of wildlife about, birds, fish, turtles, and of course mosquitoes and possibly a snake. Theres a tiny bit to be explored off the beaten path for those explorers out there. Kids play sports in the fields. Its nothing too special, for Garland anyway.

Great park! Has a good playground, plenty of shaded and sunny grassy areas, pond/lake to fish in (have to throw back in though,) and a good sized pavilion.

Park is well kept and clean. Has covered picnic tables. Kiddies toys look safe and fun for kids. Has a pond with sidewalk all the way around and is surrounded with trees. My dogs and myself enjoy walking there.

Plenty of space and play grounds for your kids

One play area, metal and plastic with wood chips on the ground, located adjacent to a pagoda and a few feet further than that is a small pond with fish, turtles, and a small observation deck overlooking the pond. Pagoda was recently painted it seems and also seems as though it was be a good place for a little family birthday party. Short path around pond and back to play area, seems to go further but we didnt take that route as that was beyond the park. Decent parking area with additional parking along the street. Good place for a picnic or for some lounging in the grass. Large puddles formed after the rain creating a bit of mud between pagoda and deck so be advised if considering going and its recently rained.

Nice park for families. Has a big shaded area with picnic tables. The play area is really close to the tables which is nice for parents to easily view kids. The play area also is separated by two sections one seems geared for smaller children .

Ablon Park has been a great pit stop for me and my fellow bike-riding companion. We stop there at the halfway point of an eight-mile trek.Shady areas with perfectly spaced picnic tables have grills and inconspicuous trash cans nearby.The well-maintained sidewalk path around the pond is wide enough for my three-wheeler and a walker or jogger to pass.It is often that we see blue herons resting there.Picturesque, well-maintained green belts and pet-friendly. Fishing must be good because we have passed by them near the spillway and dock.The park also has a multi-feature jungle gym for kids. Parents really enjoy that area as much as their children do.The expansive pavilion has enough tables to accommodate several picnickers at the same time, again affording privacy for all.There’s a clean, well-equipped port-a-potty too, with plenty of tp and hand sanitizer.The city and the patrons show pride in this safe refuge.One of Garland’s quiet, well-kept secrets where you rarely meet a stranger, and if you do, the diverse passerbys are friendly people.A must-go. You won’t be disappointed!

Great park! Small but big in its own way. Love the little pond with grills and picnic tables around it. The playground is perfect and theres plenty of covered seating for parties or group functions. Only drawback is the port-a-potty but it was very clean. Awesome park!!

Nice play ground and pond. My kids and I would have enjoyed it more if we didnt have to see and smell individuals smoking pot! Then as we were leaving some other individual carried their pet to the kids play area to drop turds!

Only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is I wish it had a real bathroom instead of a pott a potty. Its a lovely park. Small parking lot does need expanding, but great trail, playground, and little pond. Keep dogs on a leash and please dont bring glass I just did a pickup after the storm and glass peices were bad in one section. Im pretty sure it just came out of the trash can. They should just make a law you bring it you take it or you pay. Lol Please dont bring glass were our kids play!
