No one in the pro shop or bar were wearing masks despite clear outlines on the door for them being required. What’s worse is the pro shop is profiteering of requests to drive in your own cart. Been golfing a lot in the pandemic and I understand paying $10 to ride alone. Good courses also don’t make you pay but whatever. These guys are charging $20 to ride alone with the round itself being $46. That is a joke. When asked why they are gouging golfers due to the pandemic the mask less employee states it’s not their rule and they “don’t know where people are getting the 160,00 cases a day and 200,000 plus dead numbers from”. Spend your money elsewhere. Golf course has potential but was pretty beat up. Beer prices were good.

It was a very nice Fall day at the course. The driving range is closed on Mondays for maintenance. The putting green for warmup in pretty good shape. The pitching green is horrible - you have to see it to understand how tiny and bad it is. The Tee boxes are very hard and some not mowed in a while. Greens were mostly in decent shape but some have large bald spots. No problem with the price but the place overall is quite shabby and clearly lacks an adequate maintenance budget from golf shop to practice areas and out on the course. I realize many golf shop staffs are not overly friendly (and I mostly dont care) but these guys could step it up a bit when you consider the sub-standard product they are selling. None of the three guys behind the desk were wearing a mask even though the notice on the front door clearly and understandably required same. Our foursome had a very nice day but if you can find other options in the Dallas area for the price you might skip Duck Creek unless it is all you can find or want to stay in the Garland area.

Played 10/3. Course was in good shape and greens rolled well. Im a high handicapper and I enjoyed it. Poor signage and yardage indicators (no marked sprinkler heads or markers on tee box). Tee boxes not well maintained - lots of unpaired divots and broken tees. Lots of trash on course. Never saw beverage cart once.Club house staff was quite unfriendly. Club house required masks, yet not a single employee wore a mask.Enjoyed the round. Will never return.

I was hoping to host a company event here in the fall, but after coming here with my husband, I have to say this is the trashiest course I have been. There is literally empty beer cans and used cigarettes all over the course. Do ya clean up this place? Also, the people who live along the course must walk their pets here, so be careful where you walk or you just might be stepping in some dog doodie.I am definitely not hosting an event here.

Not as bad as I have seen it before. They really need to water the fairway on 18. Overall, not too bad. Still some crab grass but it did not negatively impact our putting. I will play again someday.

1 star is generous here. Fairways and Tee boxes are in bad shape. Clubhouse has no regard for the players while on the course and don’t marshall play at all. Employees were also very rude.

Played here on 7/19. Never played before definitely won’t play again. Course is very poorly marked with cart paths leading different ways. 18th hole in particular is not marked at all with the cart path just ending. Tee boxes are impossible to put tees down as they are super dry and hard as a rock. Overall course appears poorly maintained. Will not be playing again.

Short but fun layout. Condition was 3.5 out of 5. Greens are decent and roll pretty well. Although a bit slow. Friendly shop staff.

Review №13

Employees don’t wear mask despite sign saying mask required. Impossible to put tees in as ground is hard as a rock. Fairways are solid rock, greens have weeds all over them. Tee boxes are on top of each other so other holes are hitting directly at you at all times, ver dangerous. Range has no net up so they are hitting into #1 fairway. Have played a lot of courses and this is not only one of the worst maintained but very dangerous.

Review №14

Love the layout but conditions have been awful for 3 years now. Course reminds me of Los Rios the last few years it was opened. Everytime I play they have a sign saying new management or new owner but it doesnt really matter. The course is so far gone that unless they completely gut and redo it theres no saving it. There basically just putting a band aid on a poorly run and neglected course.

Ok to play. They put 2some in same carts. I was ok with that. Price was fair. Course was in ok shape. Greens just sanded. So i would wait a week or 2. Staff was friendly. Rough was a little high on a few holes. I lost a couple balls right off the fairway.

Ive had good experiences before, but not today...Arrived 6:40 for 7:07 tee time, place is dark. Guy finally shows up, opens up, and we tee off. Course is in good shape.Play the first 13 holes uneventfully. Then the course fills with golfers. And they seem to all be on the last 5 holes. At one point I counted 4 groups on one tee box. It took us longer to play the last 5 holes than it did the first 13. And at no time were we told this would happen. They did mention a tournament, but not that they were going to drop everyone on top of us so we couldnt finish.Could be a good course....

I was employed at this course, and Ive got to tell you.. what an embarrassment. Mike Kingsrud, the head professional at that course has the worst attitude and mentality for new and learning golfers. Hes LAZY! Shows up to work late! Never books lessons and doesnt complain about it because he just doesnt care to grow the game. This facility is run down and has so much room for growth, its sad they let go an employee with ambition and growth. I was let go for being there one day on my day off with another acquaintance of mine who wanted some tips on his swing. There was no payment excluded between us only free advice. I WAS FIRED BECAUSE THIS HEAD PRO WAS JEALOUS OF ME GETTING LESSONS AND SAID I HAD TO PAY 20% OF LESSONS EARNINGS TO THE COURSE DUE FOR RANGE FEES AND RANGE BALLS FEES. There was no exchange of payment and he assumed through jealousy and ignorance that I had. THIS PLACE IS AN EMBARRASSMENT TO THE GAME OF GOLF! The course is run down, out of shape but gives a good membership program that only keeps their business going. Its sad to see the way I was treated. The operations manager, Rick, had called me on my day off and had to cut me from the schedule because corporate didnt approve of some mysterious prolonged and assumed exchange of payment through a free lesson! ITS SAD. TOO MUCH DRAMA AND AN EMBARRASSMENT to the city of Garland and to the game of golf!

The course is in better shape than it use to be. Its a fun layout. I dont know whats happen lately with the fees. I use to walk and received a discount for doing so. Last time I was there, they said same price to walk as to ride and that they never discounted walked. Something changed, as I have walked there at least 5 -6 time and got a discount. Not any more. Id understand maybe on weekends.

Great course and in really good condition for a public course. For the folks who dont like it because its tight or because the rough is too rough - go play in a cow pasture. Golf is about hitting the ball down the fairway. If you cant do that, maybe you need more time on the driving range.

The facilities are not well maintained. The ball wash stations are all broken and empty, the on-course bathrooms are horrible, and infested with hornets. The fairways are 3 out of 10. There was trash present throughout the course. This was at 2:00 p.m. on a Saturday. I found the only decent part of the course were the greens. Cost to play is not justified.

Pros: the greens are in great shape right now, but they are running a little slow. Its not crowded so you can play with a little more ease than some DFW courses. The course is fairly challenging from the back tees, mainly due to hazards on tee shots.Cons: fairways are sub-par. The weekend primetime rate is a overpriced for the quality. Good value if you can get an afternoon or twilight rate.

Wife and I bought a house in the surrounding neighborhood. walked in the clubhouse and was pretty impressed. Our main reason moving to this neighborhood was to take advantage of the TENNIS COURTS. we found out though there not gonna open up the courts even though it would be easy to get them going. Im a x tennis pro from Southern California. Maybe DUCK CREEK GOLF CLUB will open the tennis courts.

They have let this course go. This used to be one of my favorite courses, but it is a shame to see what theyve let it become. Tons of weeds, greens are thick, and youll need a chiropractor after riding in the carts. Play at your own risk, but theres better courses for your money

Really disliked this course. Not well maintained. greens in great condition but the rough is miserable, 10% chance of finding your ball, doesnt help that the fairways are the narrowest of any course ive played. I lot of 90 degree dog leg turns and blind tee shots. I would not recommend. $19 round with a free beer, but must have lost 12+ balls throughout the round so i would call it a wash.
