Garden City Golf Club (not to be confused with nearby Garden City Country Club, also off Stewart Avenue, and also a Walter Travis design) is home to one of the top-rated and finest championship golf courses in New York state. The excellent open parkland and links-style layout contains a wealth of wonderfully crafted, memorable and challenging holes.
One of the gems of American Golf. That is all that need be said.
Nice course, pretty straightforward but greens are very difficult
1899 Deveruex Emmet design & Walter Travis alteration Club has hosted 5 USGA Championships, 1 Walker Cup, a number of MGA events, as well as five National Intercollegiate Golf Championships. Travis, only son of a widow who emigrated from a penal colony, Won the World Amateur in 1904, added numerous bunkers to make the course supremely Penal in nature,
