This was the location of my daughters photo shoot given that a quality photo is required for her graduate school application. The venue photographs beautifully from different angles ... from street casual to ornate. Highly recommended as a lovely venue for multiple purposes.

The place is absolutely gorgeous. It is incredibly spacious and there was plenty of natural lights. There is also quite a bit of parking.

Tranquil and Beautiful. Must visit to have said youve seen the Island in my opinion.

We had our wedding at Garten Verein this summer. The venue was reasonably priced, very well managed and beautiful! We had a very smooth experience coordinating for our wedding. Lauraleigh was a pleasure to work with. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful Historic Venue!!!

I have not been to a function or even been inside the building. But i do walk through the park/ garden its attached to. Very nice green grass. Benches trees and pickanick tables. There are some historic looking concrete pillars a clean path a fiuntain and one of the galveston turtle statues there.I have walked by durring a wed reception or somthing and it looked pretty nice.

This park is Galveston history long ago before the great storm of 1900 men and women would dance the night away to music in the verin during the great storm many were swept to this park they hung for dear life unto the branches of the old oak trees Issac Cline washed up on the building! His three daughters with him in the great storm but now its a wonderful park filled with beautiful oak trees Alamo oaks with a walking trail beautiful fountain and picnic tables even a few bbq pits for use a great place for gatherings or quiet reading

The park was beautifully manicured but the building needs some work on the outside. Mold and mildew and windows need cleaning. We were there for a wedding. They had music inside but was very Hollow sounding. It echoed throughout

We were being shown Galveston through the eyes of our daughter who lives in Houston. We ate our picnic at this oark. Peaceful and quiet. Shady. The hibiscus were in bloom. The pavilion was closed but we could look in the windows. Lovely spot. Picnic tables. Grassy grounds. Sidewalks. Handicap accessible. Didnt see a restroom, but then we didnt need one.

This beautiful historic structure is well preserved. Usually not open to the public.

We had our wedding done here in October this year. It is an absolutely beautiful venue and the staff was very helpful. The only complaint I have is that no one ever told us that they do not provide chairs if you decide to have an outdoor ceremony... We found this out exactly 1 week away from our wedding. Lauraleigh was extremely helpful and resolved our issue quickly. I recommend this venue!

Absolutely beautiful place. My brother got married here and it was a fantastic spot. All the windows allowed for natural lighting and the grounds around the building was a pleasant view. The staff was friendly, and the upkeep of the place was good.

Beautiful venue, good parking, the landscaping and scenery itself is gorgeous, it hardly needs any decorations, beautiful windows and doors. Great for a large event or a smaller intimate one.

Neat little garden, with locked historical building, thats listed as a park... No bathrooms, benches, tables, or water sources. Very pretty though!

I was here for a wedding reception. Beautiful building but turn the A/C down. Everybody was complaining how cold it was indoors.

The bathroom area smelled like an outhouse and we hadnt been there 30 min. Very roomy.

Beautiful building. My husband and I got married there. Perfect place for any event.

The park was not that great. Its just a small walking trail and ppl sleeping on the pininic tables, and the big historical fountain wasnt even on and it looked like it hadnt been taken care of very well. It was very underwhelming in person not somewhere I would visit again.
