The trails are very diverse, you have the chance to walk the shore line or through the woods. Many different trails indeed. The trails are labeled and easy to follow, so no getting loss, if you need a map you can get one at the main building. The wild life was amazing, we seen cranes, to turtles (even helped one to cross the trail), and of course all of the family pets! Was amazing and would love to camp there. You can rent kayaks and go out on the open water, but a downside was there was no swimming area that we could find.
Our group had two primitive sites which gave us plenty of space for 3 tents. Hosts were friendly and greeted us personally shortly after we arrived. Bathrooms were super clean and easy to access.Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short because another group in the site next to us was incredibly inconsiderate and outright hostile at times. They arrived at 1:30am, waking us up, and sat outside their tent talking loudly until 3:30am. The next morning, they were up by 8am and immediately started drinking and playing music at an inconsiderate volume. Several times they turned the music down when asked but as the day went on, the music went up (and they played it all day long). It was clear they were there to party but they were unable to do so while still respecting the shared space.Everyone in our group was miserable. We were going to try to grin and bear it but when our partying neighbors took out and planted their confederate flag and started talking very loudly about the guns they brought with them, it was clear they were trying to antagonize us and they were not going to be reasonable. We decided to cut our trip short and started breaking up the site.As were we preparing to leave, our hosts came by and we explained we were leaving and why. They responded immediately by talking to the other group, who became hostile and disrespectful to the hosts as well. The hosts called in the park ranger, who is armed, to help address the situation. Both the hosts and the ranger apologized to us for what was happening. As we were leaving, they were in the process of calling the sheriff to deal with our drunk neighbors.Even though our experience was far from ideal, I appreciated the way our hosts and the ranger handled the situation. I really wish the park had a policy against allowing campers to show up without a reservation at 1am and allow them to stay anyway. And I wish there was more clear and prominent notice of camp quiet hours. We’ll be back, ultimately, and I would recommend the primitive sites overall. However, if you encounter the same kind of inconsiderate or aggressive campers like we did, notify the hosts right away. Based on our experience they will definitely address it.
Fantastic spacious primitive camp sites by the water. Amazing sunrise over the lake. Helpful friendly staff who deliver firewood and ice! Loved it here.
A COVID era hike is not the norm but BCSP delivered a great experience for my daughters, my wife and me. Well marked trails, good clean facilities and a mix of vistas made for a very enjoyable afternoon. Thank you Tennessee State Parks!
This is a great park for hikes that will take an hour or two. Some trails are paved and flat, some go along the shore of the lake, some are more challenging with stairs that go up a steep ridge. There are also some of a historical nature. Great for kids and families. You can also go fishing, canoeing, and kayaking. Boat launch for campers. Nice clean and newly renovated bath houses for campers.
Spent the weekend there was very amazed on how nice the campsite was plenty of room for our pup and very clean. Friendly host and very nice. Were there to see if anything needed as soon as you arrive and very outgoing. We sure will be back again, the hiking was great and did some kayaking too.
This place was beautiful!! It was ready to make our reservations. Our campsite was beautiful. The lake was gorgeous and fun for kayaking.Pets were welcome. Our site had a firepit and a picnic table. We are already thinking of going back when it warms up again.
I moved to Gallatin back in October from Tucson, AZ. I came across Bledsoe Creek State Park and it instantly became my happy place. The wildlife, from the deer to the squirrels to the various feathered creatures, are always active. The park Rangers have been nothing short of wonderful!! They are very knowledgeable and friendly. We have camped multiple times, the site has always been very clean. The showers have hot water for days it seems and are always clean. The walking paths take you around and treat your eyes to beautiful sights. I just adore all there is about my happy place, Bledsoe Creek State Park.
Great trails and peaceful. Not over crowded during this time. Parking is plentiful compared to other State parks.
We (my family) spent a Saturday afternoon there and enjoyed it. The hiking trail was great. It was Wide and well kept. We especially enjoyed walking along the lake and taking in the turtles off the dock. We stopped at the park and enjoyed the moment with our seven year old. We mentioned that if we got a camper that this would be the place to be with the lake right there. We recommend.
Such a great park. Theres a fun little paved trail with story placards and miles of more rustic trails. The campground is nice and theres a boat dock for getting out on the water.
Good camping, boating, swimming. Some hiking. The interesting thing about the park is its location close to several archeological and historic sites.
Bledsoe Creek is a really great spot to camp at! I loved that the campsites are actually pretty big and lots of space between sites. This campground has a playground and lots of pavilions. Check in is with camp host There are tons of really great trails varying from wheelchair accessible to strenuous. Look out for the deer in the morning and evening as they walk around.
This park is beautiful. They have trail with views of the lake. It is peaceful and well maintained. Highly recommend.
Very nice park. Camping, playgrounds, beautiful area and LOTS or deer. Very clean and we had a good visit.
Great park, the RV sites were right on the water and nicely shaded. We loved that you could fish there but we didn’t catch anything. The hiking trails were amazing with tons of wildlife! The park ranger didn’t seem very friendly, but her assistant, Kayla, was so sweet and had a activities for the kids planned. It was a real bummer that no swimming was permitted. All the other campers were extremely behaved and considerate.
Very nice camp grounds. Lots of deer to enjoy. The staff are friendly and helpful!
This was a great place to camp. Very quiet and had great electric service.the trails were nice but the temp was almost 95 so we didnt do much hiking. We did have a sworm of flood mosquitoes (the little zebra looking ones) chew on us and even spraying with off just made us more appealing to them. We woke up the next morning to the squirrels having dug open the cooler and ate all of our cheese and some hotdogs. The pushed the 2 gallon jugs off the top. I will be back and it was fun but it was just too hot this time of year and the mosquitoes and squirrels were bad. On a positive finish the bath house was spotless and had a good clean smell. Worth every penny.
Kayak rentals, Walking and biking paths for different levels of ease, fishing, camping, a big playground. This place has it all. Park ranger presence is always strong. Children Must wear helmets with bikes etc or they will stop you.
Beautiful. Fun for the family or yourself on a nice hike. We need more places like this. Parks. Water. Docks. Trails. Etc
Great park, very clean. Awesome camp hosts. Always our go to! Just wish there was a place to swim on hot summer days!
We just drove thru, but a beautiful place! Would love to come back with family.
Beautiful, well kept and maintained. Sites are large and private. Parking pad is wide and level. Many sites are covered with a canopy of trees. Great hiking trails. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Park host a tad grouchy . Bathhouse is clean and nice. My one complaint, showers do not have doors, just flimsy curtain. Restrooms are used by general public, so just wish showers were move private
Its a very pretty sight. Lovely views. 10/10 would recommend
We were only there 2 nights but they were nice and relaxing. Staff I did interact with were very friendly. I will definitely go back!!
Great for moderate and easy day hiking. They have a few different picnic pavilions, some to fit large groups. In recent years they’ve upgraded the various facilities and it’s very nice. There are even a couple good fishing spots as well.
Took a drive through and hung out at the viewing dock for a bit. Cute place. Camping looked great and lots of trails.
Great Camping experience, we were at one of the tent only primitive sites, very quiet. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.
Nice variety of trails. Well maintained. Paved as well as nature/hiking. Dog friendly on leash
Primitive camp sites are a little too close for my liking but a great park none the less
Love it... Got a trail to walk. All kinds of wild life. Including deers as well as cranes
No privacy during day light hours. This is a very very safe campground. The host is circling thr grounds constantly and youre basically sitting with your neighbors bc there are sparse amount of trees and they are close. Maintenance drices by a lot until they leave for the day. Its just pretty busy so people are looking at you quite a bit as they are leaving and driving thru..so if you want privacy gotta wait til dark. Stayed in spot I primitive site, very pretty by water. 5 minute or so walk to restrooms. Its right by the water like most of the sites. There are 2 showers, how and food water for however long u want they are included in camping fee. Pretty clean toilets and campground. The trails are pretty but there are constant reminders you are only a few min drive from a city...fences, barns, etc everywhere. Nice little workout though and plenty of birds to see and the squirrels are everywhere too. They will try to come see if you have food but arent aggressive. For 21.80 including fees a night... I would say Ive been to much more beautiful places but for the safety, the showers all that. Its a great place to stay in exchange for a hotel if you know how to camp right. But if you want to get out and forget society...keep looking further. Good place for kids to learn to start hiking, some spots were pretty steep tho so make sure they know how to use a hiking stick or you are well able to carry them if need be for a short period. Kids over 7 should be fine
A wonderful place to hike with children and dogs. The trails are easy to moderate. The trails are well maintained with trail markers. I loved hiking around the lake and the paved trail. Definitely recommend it.
Beautiful park, friendly camp hosts and rangers, excellent playgrounds. I highly recommend the story trail!
Great place for hike. The full circuit ~3 miles. 95% forested canopy, comfortable even on hot days. Only one strenuous portion, around 65 timber style stair landings. 2 different boat launch areas. Hourly kayak rental or bring you own.
Park is very well maintained! Bathrooms are nice. So nice to camp right on the water. Staff was super helpful and accommodating. Only thing we had an issue with was there is a streetlight at the end of the road that stays on all night and made it hard to enjoy the stars and the campfire. It was also difficult to sleep in our tents with the extra light. Overall had a wonderful time and plan to return
We fed the fish and played hard! Great little place!
Awesome park! Mostly shaded areas and trails right along the water. Beautiful view. Peaceful and very family friendly. Public restrooms are very nice. Plenty of wild life - my husband and I ran into a few deer that were very close, and we also saw some cows, geese, ducks and swans. Nice paths and is very well maintained.
Beautiful out here and the trails are great to walk!!
Love Bledsoe Creek State Park campsites! Great walking trails also!
Another great Tennessee state park! Very clean and well kept. Nice trails. Good place to go while social distancing.
Our family loves this hideaway!Small and quaint. However, the wildlife are abundant and there are some great hiking trails.
It was a nice set of trails. Fairly easy with just a couple of areas that are steep to climb.
Got site 11. Love it here. Just know that it is water and electric hookup only. Dump station was clean. Friendly office and camp hosts. Never could get anyone in office to pick up phone or call back, but very friendly in person.
We kept our distance from people due to covid19. Park could have used some mowing but still was a good time
Great hiking and lots of shade. Playground and well kept area.
This park is great! Very pretty and they have activities all year!!
Lots of hiking trails. Los of wildlife!
Great place the camp host makes this place so enjoyable they are kind and helpful. The park is clean and good spacing on the camp sites. 2 great playgrounds! Well maintained.
Nice state park with lots of easy trails. My little girl really loves the storybook trail. The staff is super friendly, bathrooms are very clean, and sites are nice.
Kayaking here is fun -- booking is done online and there is no one actually on site, the rental is self serve. Very easy to use though.
Excellent! Hosts were welcoming. Chill crowd on Labor day weekend.
Wonderful place to camp! We came from over 5 hours away to visit family and loved the park! The kids loved the trails and playgrounds. A nice quiet and small family friendly park thats very clean!
Enjoyed a leisurely stroll around the lake on an easy trail. Beautiful views of the lake. Spotted several does as we were leaving. Found numerous painted rocks along the trail. A lot of families with small children were also out rock hunting. The trail I walked today was easy, but they do have a more strenuous one.
Thanks to Park Manager Thurman and Ranger Smith for keeping Bledsoe State Park immaculate! Wonderful group of people. The park is very clean and safe. Thanks !!
This little camp ground is always so peaceful and full of wildlife. Nice trails, playground. Its wonderful.
Great place to camp! Nice, clean facilities and friendly hosts and staff.
Blesoe Creek is a great state park with a nice campground. All roads and sites are paved and fairly level. Most have adjacent gravel patios with fire pit, grill, and picnic table. Some pull-through sites. 20/30/50 amp electric and water. No sewer, but 2 slot dump station. Two clean bath houses and a nice laundry with 3 washers, and 2 dryers. Highly recommend this park!
Love the wildlife and how close you can get to the deer. Very Beautiful... nice place to take pictures.
Loved it! They also have kayak and paddleboat rentals. The kayak rentals are $18/hr and include life vests. You can rent them over the phone and it’s very easy. Will be returning with friends!
We had a fun and relaxing hike around the park along the Songbird and Wix trails.
Clean, good price, nice people. Sites are not level
Beautiful site and two geocaches there!!
Been going here since I was old enough 2 walk. Now my kids have been going here since they have been old enough 2 walk. The trails and playgrounds have changed over the years but the feeling is always the same, peace. Favorite place ever in life!!!
We had a nice time. It’s quiet, but if you’re down near the shore you will hear a lot of boats. There are deer roaming around and the trails are interesting.
This is one amazing park. There is something for everyone. There is a great hiking trail through the woods and along a lake. There is camping, kids playgrounds and fishing. They have a small store if you forgot anything. I love this place.
Its a small park but offers a short and somewhat scenic hike. Easy with a moderate Hill to climb. Lots of deer.
Very beautiful view of the lake. The two trails that we did or not too difficult at all and the story book trail is absolutely awesome.
Nice place! Small park but some great features. Nice hiking trails, and lake access. Most campsites have shade and some privacy. No sewer . Bath house adequate. Would definitely stay here again
Walked the trails and they were very nice if you are looking for moderate walk in the woods. Very scenic. Park looks well maintained with some cool historical replica buildings. Nice for family or walking the dog.
Went for the annual spring craft fair... Had some great items... It was a beautiful day for a walk in the woods... Many campsites available, right ON THE LAKE... Sites ranging from primitive to full hookups... Boat ramp nearby...
It has some nice walking trails and camping akso a boat ramp. Public bathroom were super clean.
Good trails, great lakeside scenery.
Excellent State Park. We saw a great variety of wildlife while hiking on one of the trails.
Beautiful State Park... Very Clean, the bathrooms are immaculate & very well taken care of.
Great place! We love the wildlife in the park, all the great trails, and access to the water.
This is super clean, neat and tidy campground with lots of deer on the property at all times. With just under 60 spots, its a relatively small campground and is cozy. Its the only campground Ive seen where all the spots have paved driveways. The check-in building is a large log cabin style structure, the two dump stations are immaculate, and the grounds are very well kept. Were looking forward to staying there again!
Of the 6 trips we took this year, our stay at Bledsoe was one of the top 2. Definitely had the easiest sites to get the camper in and out of. Clean, neat. During our 7 day stay we only talked to a camp host once. Which suited me just fine. For the most part anytime they rode by they just smiled and waved. If you like wildlife, we had about 8 deer right behind the camper every morning. There are plenty of historical sites nearby. Short drive to Nashville. There is plenty we didnt get to do while we there and when we come back we will definitely be staying at Bledsoe.
Very well kept grounds very good camp host when you need help the camby ground is great for somone to enjoy the peace of our world if every one could come to appreciate the Joy and peace that only comes from God.
Outstanding. Off the grid, however quiet, serene area. Friendly folks as usual with RVERS. Fuel areas close by as well as areas to shop in Gallitin, HendersonvilleO Yeah good ole Walmart.TV channels excellent.Country setting, deer all around, walking trails around the lake. Hosts are Primo. On top of everything. From Fla. will return again in future as we travel in our RV
Camp host are really good friendly folks. Love have deer and turkey hanging out at the campground. Beautiful place great hiking trails. 2 trails are paved for strollers and wheelchairs.
Everything you need if you like sitting in the woods with strangers in your overpriced RV.
Love Tennessees state parks.
Great place to take your family for a hike
Pretty trails along the water. Very clean park!
Bledsoe Creek State Park is amazing! My children love the variety of wildlife that we see here: Deer, fish, song birds, wild turkeys, squirrels, ducks, dragonflies, hawks, ect. They have dirt paths, paved paths, Paths on flat ground and paths that wind through the hills. We love everything about Bledsoe, the palygrounds, the trails, the water, the gazebo out on the lake, everything is just gorgeous!
Lovely park! Great, well-maintained trails! Lot of wild life.
We camped here one night (we were stuck in the area for auto problems). It was really peaceful, and the deer didnt pay us much notice. We were actually very lucky to get a camp site, and I recommend that you call to make a reservation.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Makers Market. Great time with family away from electronics. Plenty for kids to do as well
Take time enjoy a walk
So many better state parks, floods the premium spots so you pay premium fee to have people walk through your campsite, close enough to grab a burger off the grill. Maintenance rides a loud ranger starting at 5am until all day everyday. The attitude of staff would rather you go elsewhere, so I oblige.
Great park and great trails with easy to moderate hikes.
