Beautiful theatre built in 1916 art nouveau for vaudeville, restored/remodeled.

Its just a beautiful theatre. I wish there were more elbow room but thats part of history. I can image the past when I see the balconies.

It was a lovely evening. The GHS band and choir were superb in a glorious setting. Merry Christmas!!

A treasure to adore in Galesburg. I have seen movies,ballet, cooking demonstrations, plays, concerts. You always offer us so many wonderful choices. The architecture is breathtaking. I will continue to go to this very amazing place

A treasure of Galesburgs past that can still be enjoyed today. I used to go see movies there as a kid and since the restoration several years ago have seen many concerts/live music shows. So glad it was saved a beautiful and historic piece of the past.

We watched a movie there,a rare event for them, screen and sound were below par,they do serve alcohol. A historic theatre, I believe the Marx brothers played there, very random events parking is free,quite a few restaurants within walking distance.

The building is in need of some internal renovations. I think its important to preserve places of historical importance. I was directed to sit in the upper balcony. I did, but it was challenging to ascend the staircase with disability. On a final note, the acoustics were quite admirable. ♡

For full disclosure, I volunteer at the Orpheum. The Orpheum is a beautiful theatre steeped in history. The staff and volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable. I have attended many different events and enjoyed the experience.

Beautiful, restored old theatre. Good acoustics, multiple balconies at the rear and sides of the theatre.We attended a special movie presentation, followed by a speech by the writer/producer, with an almost full house. We arrived late and had to sit in the back row of the uppermost balcony--- we had no problem seeing or hearing, and the seats were comfortable.

I grew up watching movies in this historic theater... So I love the memories, the nostalgia. But, the seats get an F in comfort. WAYYYYY to confining, and leave your legs at home, the rows are that close together. (And Im short!)

Very nostalgic with a lot of history. They do free movies every Thursday in the summer. The popcorn is great too. I wish they had little better drink selection, but they do sell some cheap wine and beer sometimes too I think?

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers was amazing! The old movies are wondetful on the big screen!

We were attending Galesburgs Got Talent! What a great event!! And what a wonderful venue!!! We are truly fortunate to have such an amazing theater in our city!!!!!

A great local venue for some good shows. Even got to see Kevin Smith there when he was in town!!

The Orpheum is very nice. Was there for movie and it was good. The only negative I can think of is that the seats are small, not much leg room for tall people. Otherwise,it was a positive experience.

Nice old style theater. A great hidden gem.

I presented a workshop there and the venue is absolutely beautiful. Its a well-kept theater with a fantastic, friendly staff. I would recommend going to any of the shows there to experience the atmosphere, or even booking shows. They allow groups to use the theater.It really was a great experience. Kevin and Ross were great to work with. I look forward to our next presentation in May.

The Orpheus Theatre is iconic. Great shows, beautiful on the inside and out, although it is a very old building (but that’s part of its charm).

Got to go see John Conlee and his band sing a bunch of songs that I havent heard for years!!! Still sounds great! Orpheum looks spectacular since it had its facelift done.

A restored to original to beauty and used for concerts and plays. Holds 1000 peopleThe Marx bros, Bob Hope and all the vaudeville stars of the 1910, 1920 till now played

The Orpheum is a wonderful, historic theater with great acoustics. Its not too big and the staff are wonderful. You can even reserve it for private events.

Real tight seating. If you are a fatty like me, its an intimate experience with the people sitting next to you. Everything else was great.

Amazing historical theater. Saw the Doobie brothers when I was in 8th grade, and have been there for uncountable events. About to see Jay and silent Bob.

Be on time. They promptly close the doors. Respect the protocol.

The theater is nice. Seating is cramped for bigger people. Beer selection is bad unless you like bud light or a local brew
