Great facility and Pat and his staff do a great job teaching and developing players

Very clean, professional, and the trainers and the staff practices effective social distancing. Players train in their own private stations away from others, but must get on the list, it fills up fast; there is limited slots available. Zoom training is very good as well! Just as good if you come in physically.

My daughter has been going to Pat the Roc for training for years (from Middle School, through High School and now preparing for college). Generally she enjoys the training. It is a good space, has lots of cool gadgets and innovative drills. Over the years, here are some of things shes learned: She prefers the individual sessions to group sessions, of course. More work reps. She prefers staff trainers rather than train with Pat himself for the following reasons two reasons: 1) Pat is running a business that depends on a lot of promotion, which often distracts him during the session (especially if there is an elite athlete he needs to promote); and 2) Pat does not seem to take her (and, in her view, other girls) seriously and challenge her. In group sessions, girls regardless of age, are almost always grouped with the young kids. She has found other staff trainers that will work her harder and seem to understand the womens game better. Pat the Rocs facility is probably the best in the area. They just need to give the girls and their game a little more attention to earn that extra star from me.

I want to give 3.5 stars. My son has only attended camp here and the coaches are great, he learns a lot and the program is awesome however as a parent the lack of security with a check out system to match kids to their parents or a check in system is concerning. The front doors stay unlocked for anyone in the public to access and with security being a major concern the front desk persons response when I asked about how they ensure kids are leaving with the right people was “we assume the kids know not to leave with the wrong person”. I brought that up to management 6 months ago I never got a call, email or anything to discuss even after I offered to help Put a secure system in place for fee. As a parent looking for a place to send my kid all day and feel he or she is safe and secure it’s questionable ...Also when I asked the desk if the other adult members of PtR who come in at the end of camp are back ground checked to make sure no child offenders are around the kids during after camp hours when their clinic s begin, and that question could not be answered. Eventually I called and got a response and said those other members of PtR not affiliated with the camp but overlap during camp times (the kids are exposed to them) are not background checked. I hope they continue to grow as a program and address these issues to become an elite program in the area. Until then

After training both my son and daughter myself almost exclusively, I thought it was important to get them working with another coach for a period of time. After researching trainers in the DMV area, we settled on Pat. His successful experience working with established players, at every level, made it an easy choice. Pat worked with both my son and daughter for about 10 sessions a piece, and did an excellent job supplementing the work I had done with them. He has excellent knowledge of the game and has an easy-going, patient demeanor that is very effective with young players. Whether your son or daughter is just starting out, or is already playing at a higher level, I would strongly recommend Pat. No matter where their game is, he will definitely move it forward.

Friendly & skilled (!) staff, with nice facility and varied levels of trainers and drills for my 14yr old teen who took up basketball 2 yrs ago, vs D1 players with a tougher coach, learning to refine their mechanics and moves.

My son has been going to this Academy for about a year now and he enjoys it very much..he has improved in school because he wants to come to this camp every week..we drive a full hour to go to Pats facility..the staff is encouraging and understanding of all ages and skill levels..Pat is still a grounded individual throughout all of his success..hes completely approachable..and his moto Anything Is Possible makes a great premise for molding a youngsters mind..I recommend this place for ALL KIDS..parents will get their moneys worth.

Awesome basketball academy, safe environment, friendly environemt, and the level of skill training at a professional level. Family like environment! The training sessions and clinics are 100% worth the money. It is a great place for beginners to advance as well as already advanced players to get even better at their skill. Great place!

My son, wanted to take his dribbling skills to the next level. The series secret to dribbling has been challenging and helped grow his skills and confidence. I recommend this for those who want to improve thier skills through a challenging series.

My granddaughter is in the Baby Ballers for ages 2 & 3 years old. The program is wonderful. It teaches basic skills at their level. My granddaughter loves it.

My son loves Pat the Roc!!! His jump shot improved significantly. He is more focused and dedicated to his form and team practices. Coach Pat and Coach Randy are the best, their patience and dedication to the students is evident in the sessions. I would recommend to anyone!!

My sons game has improved with working out with Pat. The prices are reasonable for the equipment that is offered to workout with you will not be able to get that anywhere in this area.

If you are looking for a great basketball workout for yourself or your child this place is excellent. The cost is pretty reasonable also.

Only been there for one session but definitely the type of skills my daughter needs to work on to up her game! Looking forward to seeing her progress in 2017!
