My Father-in-law wanted a painted portrait of my sweet Morher-in-law after she passed. He found Mark online. I was the contact person. Mark did an absolute amazing job! It is perfect. Mark was an absolute pleasure to work with. We commissioned him to do an oil of our 3 children. I worked with him over email initially on styles of portraits that I liked (he sent hundreds of pictures for my comments), placement of the children in the scene, clothes styles and colors that worked well, and sizing. He was very receptive to my ideas and he got my taste and the old world look I was going for. He then flew in for a weekend to do 2 days of photos of the children. He was great with them - very friendly and instantly put them at ease. We then worked with him to choose the best pose/ photo. Once that was done, he went to work. Within 6 weeks, he had completed the portrait. I am delighted with it. I think he captured all 3 of the childrens distinct personalities and created something we will treasure as they grow up. It is now the focal-point of our living room. He is a very talented portraitist and I recommend him very highly to anyone who in the market for this special keepsake work of art.

I was very nervous for a lot of reasons about the idea of a wedding portrait for our 10th anniversary. It would be a big investment for something that was very subjective and I had no idea if my wife would like it at all. I was impressed by Marks work on the website and decided to begin working with him. I narrowed down the photo choices and consulted with a close friend to determine which one made the most sense. We didnt have a photo without teeth/smiles, so that wasnt an option. I have to say that it is shocking when you first see a portrait of yourselves and both Sandy and I felt that way. Mark did an absolutely amazing job. Much better than many other things I have seen out there. A great combination of realism and incredible detail along with a more impressionistic background. It really grows on us every day and we feel more attached to it all the time - thats a really good feeling. I am so happy we chose Mark and thankful for the treasure that he has given our family. My husband and I decided to commission an artist to do a portrait of our seven year old grandson as a Christmas gift to our son and daughter-in-law. I did some research on Google and after looking at Marks portraits on line I knew he was the one. His portraits of children were especially appealing.We set up an appointment for a photo session. Mark has a delightful easy going personality who was able to help my grandson feel comfortable. His wife Laurel assisted and together they made the photo session fun.We were all thrilled with the end result. The portrait of our grandson is beautiful.
