Very rude staff, and it seems as though they do not communicate, my boyfriend was told several different things and prices by several different people over the phone and in person, for his 10 year old to attend and practice targeting. And two young teenage boys argued about it in front of him. First, the price was 15 then it was 27 and they say come on Friday’s then some one else says no Friday’s are for adults only... do they communicate to one another at all? And even the manger came out and saw what was happening, yet showed zero concern. No professionalism or organization. Just wow. I think zero stars would be more fitting.
I found this place from Groupon and took my 7 year old son last Saturday. Also told my cousin near the area about the deal and she registered for two kids (12, 14yrs old). It was first session on Saturday 1pm and it was great. I really liked the instructor giving detail explanation for beginners (very friendly and humorous ) My son was young one (first timer) and instructor/owner were patient and encourage him with all smile. After one full hour session, kids were so happy ( not bored at all ) and wanted to come back soon. I recommend any parent whose kids wanna be like a hawkeye. Little bit hard to find an entrance but just park rear side of the building. We will be there again!
THE EST. IS LOCATED BEHIND THE BUILDING..Its nothing like what the advertisement looks like & its not outdoors. The owner seems questionable, but the two young instructors were pretty helpful. They couldve had more order to how they directed us as we were shooting. They can definitely turn the temp on the ac down & the fan up........My baby enjoyed her myself & do did I, so they get 4 stars.
The instructors and staff are very professional. The establishment is very clean. They sanitized throughout our session. Masks were worn. Only two families were permitted at a time. A great social distancing activity for everyone!
I brought a group of middle school students here on a trip. They loved fencing! The preparations and explanations were very thorough, and they helped coach each kid once they got started. They emphasized the importance of safety and clearly explained all safety measures that were to be observed and why they were important. We will be coming back!
I have left several messages on their phone and asked to be contacted via email on their website, but no one has returned my calls or messages. So I am guessing that this place is not managed very well. Shame...my daughter was really interested in their program.
Alexi, Matthew, and Ryan: Thanks for a great first-time archery experience! Your patience, guidance and expertise made it easy to stay on target. Im already telling others. May drop in for fencing soon too.
What a great place! Coaches and equipment were available for our group of 12, responsive to emails. Clean, professional, and safety is #1. Will definitely be back!
Fun place with knowledgeable and kind instructors who really want you to get better -- one of the best characteristics of a teacher.
We took one of their group archery lessons, because we love archery but are still learning and we were hoping for some advice. The young guys (high school maybe? college?) were nice, but pretty ineffective as teachers. Its a reminder that just because you know how to do something, doesnt mean you know how to teach it. They dont have the skill set for communicating with students -- for instance, when I had trouble hitting the target, one of the teachers kept saying Thats so weird that you keep doing that. I dont believe his intention was to be hurtful, but it was disheartening and not conducive to me getting any better or gaining confidence. Also he didnt provide any suggestions for improvement, other than repeating the same steps over and over (which I was already doing, but obviously something wasnt working) -- broken record instructions arent helpful. So ultimately the group archery lesson was a waste of time and money for us.
Very exciting and educational experience led by capable and patient instructors.
We have been looking for a fencing class for our son who will be 5 soon. We decided to start looking into it now, so that he can start after his 5th birthday. We stopped by Invicta Sports Club to get more information. The woman at the desk assumed we were interested in archery. After explaining that our son is interested in fencing she and the instructor said to come back next week for the kids fencing class. I explained that we came to get more information about the class before signing our son up. The instructor was extremely rude in his response and seemed annoyed that we are asking to get more information. We were trying to figure out the process. For example: what and how will our son be learning? What can we expect from them? What is the expectation of a 5 year old? What is the equipment process? Do parents stay during practice? Etc. My husband decided to leave since the instructor wasn’t intersted in us being there. My son was so disappointed. I explained to him that he needs a teacher that is kind and excited to teach him and that we will find another fencing class for him to join.
Had a blast
Absolutely amazing place: archery and fencing, you gotta love it!My wife and I are having such great time shooting arrows and we decided to join the membership after 2 weeks. This is now our go-to sports enjoyed by us both.People there are amazing: always helpful and educational also professional.Highly recommend you try this if you live near by.
It is relatively small family-owned club for both Fencing and Archery. We liked the staff and especially the way owners/coaches care about individual kids needs/goals. They personally introduced us to the staff and club members and gave us a free tour and free classes before we decided to buy membership. We have been going to Invicta for ~1.5 years and had multiple chances to compare it with other clubs and very glad we chose InvictaSports for our kids. It is a great place for both beginners and kids/adults who wants to train for competitive fencing and try themselves on regional/state/national Fencing competitions.FYI, it is hard to find as it is on backside of the building. Make a turn on Gaither road and them right turn when you see BaseBall zone, and go around the building until you see Invicta sign on glass doors
Horrifying customer service. Looks the owner who sounds like Indian didnt get proper education and training. These people apologized here just to look like they care but dont be fool to yourself.
Coach Aleksey helped me train for division 1 NCAA fencing championships! Great coach!
Very good experience as a beginner and very friendly staff
