Very great laser tag. The prices are good. However, the laser tag suits for some could be quite hard to put on. But thats why they have assistance, which is great! The gun is not really shaped like a gun, but it doesnt matter, it fully works the purpose its supposed to do. The arcade in there also doesnt allow physical cash anymore. it requires a game card I think, so you need to buy one from them.

Took my 7 year old there for her birthday and she and her friends had a blast. The staff Melissa was very attentive and helpful to the kids and parents. The place is wheelchair accessible for those who use any type of mobile aid. Their arcade section is small but the main attraction is the laser tag activities. Will definitely come back

Ive had amazing Experiences, very fun laser Tag with very interesting game modes and power ups. The guns and vests have this perfect weight and aesthetic to them that make you feel like a Space Marine out of Starcraft. Reasonable prices, especially if you take advantage of deals, such as the Friday Happy Hour. Only issue is that Ive heard that some people will occasionally get glitched guns.

So much fun! Kids are grouped as close to age as possible! Took my son and his friends for his birthday. Had a great time. It can be a little scary at 1st depending on the age.

Definitely a lot of fun. Would have like to pick the adventures/scenarios and the guide could have explained the Zombie adventure a little better as well as the Gems but lots of fun, the whole group enjoyed it.

Went here for a birthday. Staff ran a good game and the kids had a great time. We had trainee staff for explaining the kids first game and running our party room. Both trainees were pleasant but were not up to running these things by themselves. Would recommend if they have new staff they pair them tighter with older staff.

We came here on a rainy weekend day. Our family had a blast! There is a small arcade area but has various types of games, including a cool laser maze. The arcade is great to hang out in between laser tag games. Kudos to the staff who manage groups of children in a safe and fun manner. We decided to play three games. Each round had different rules which kept things interesting and lively. There is a place to sit for adults if you choose to not participate. But I would suggest to get in the fun! It’s a great family activity. They can also host parties.

Love this place! Is #1 spor to take friends and family when visiting out of town. Is great for all ages and its open till late.

Kids loved it. Staff arent as helpful as we would have liked, though. Other than some introductions, an initial setup, and leading kids back and forth, the parents did the majority of the work in feeding and keeping the place clean.

Spectacular! The service here was easily on par with Disney. This is one of the most family-friendly entertainment options out there. Small children and teenager can participate simultaneously; that is a rare thing from my experience. I had fun with a teenage son, who easily bested me in this game, without traveling to an amusement park. I have also seen parties and groups here; the experience is the same. The laser tag attraction itself is the key. It is just so much fun to play “tag” with a toy gun. We often did this as kids, but the technology is so much better that you really must try it out. I dont know if every day is this great, but the experience I had today was unbelievable. The staff was simply stupendous. They made sure that each guest felt like family, and that the safety rules were followed by everyone. The technology also performed flawlessly, which is always a rarity in any venue. Overall, it is just a great way to spend an afternoon with your family or friends.

Had my daughters birthday party there this past weekend and I have to say I was very pleased with the experience.We were assigned a host for the event ( comes with the package), and Silene was so courteous, professional, kept us on schedule. Handled everything by preparing the room, serving the cake, entertaining the kids when they were not playing Lasertag.I cannot say enough about how pleased I was about how this turned out, and my daughter and her friends had a GREAT time.Thank you Shadowland for a well organised experience!

This place is totally awesome. The staff is so very nice and sweet. They are always zooming by with a smile. Between the crawling, squatting, ducking, running (cough, brisk walking to keep in line with the rules), dodging, hiding, tip toeing, twisting, turning, and jumping, I am going to be in shape yet. The game is only 15 minutes, but I felt as if I just lost 1 clothing size by the time I exited the game room. When I was tired, that 15 minutes felt like forever. The Dead Storm Pirates game is amazing as far a video games go. Make sure you take a partner as it seats to players to help take down the monsters. The laser maze makes you feel as if you walked into the set of a James Bond movie. No but really, my flexibility hasnt been challenged this much since I sat at a desk with a chair attached. The only downside is every one who is less than 5 feet tall and have a lot of energy has a overcompensated competitive advantage. I got beat by so many people who dont pay taxes, its embarrassing.

Took my kids to Shadowland for the first time over the weekend and they loved it.The staff was friendly and helpful. The experience was amazing the kids also enjoyed the arcade games. My kids played 3 different laser tag games and each one was different. They want to have their birthday party there. They offer a nice package for birthday parties. We also had popcorn which was hot and fresh. I had a smaller child and staff was so nice and helped him with his gear and made him feel comfortable. He really enjoyed it. Very nice and fun place to go on the weekends!!!

The best way I can describe this experience is terrible, my party guide or maybe staff for my birthday event was terrible, he kept insulting my friends, made them feel uncomfortable, apparently “jokingly ” put a match to my friend’s hair and said “shhh don’t tell” Which was completely out of line for him being an adult and playing around with teenagers . and even better yet, at the end he was disposing of the chips, I told him to wait Because I thought we could save the food (he still disposed it bc no one was gonna take it)and he goes on and says “maybe should’ve invited more people “.Which was totally out of line and inappropriate especially the fact that he said that to me (The Birthday girl at the time) Like did he ever consider the fact that maybe I’m not that social, either way it’s none of his business .I wish you guys could do better at hiring people~an upset customer

I took my 7 year daughter and a friend to Shadowland in Gaithersburg on Sunday to celebrate the end of the school year. We have been here before but it is usually a birthday party. This was free time. They were a little nervous so I sat in when the staff was explaining what to do so they felt comfortable. They had a great time. The staff really took the time and answered all the questions the kids had and made them feel important. They played 3 games each and were really tired but glad they played. Great way to spend a rainy day.

My son, his 2 friends, and I went to visit the Shadowland in early November 2015. We did the triple-play adventure package for a reasonable cost of $22/person. In addition to the laser tag, there is an extensive arcade room with a variety of games. There were 2 birthday parties going on during our time at the location. During our stay at the location, the team of employees worked together to create to provide us with an atmosphere facilitating a fun and enjoyable experience.” The laser tag missions and the directions and guidance provided by the laser tag team members were outstanding.The facility was clean and well maintained. Employees were professional in their interactions with customers. There was a minimal wait time between missions @ 15 minutes between the end of one mission and the beginning of the next mission. I would recommend a visit to this location in Gaithersburg. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and plan a return, even on a busy Saturday!

Yesterday we went with a lot of family for my nephews birthday party, first off the machines kept stealing money. So I went to go let a employee know so I see Andrew, and I showed him 2 machines that stole my daughters money, I could tell something was off about him bcuz while I was explaining it to him he looked like he was in another world like on alot of medication, so i showed him they were broke and asked him can I get my money back he says yes and walk away, after a while I couldnt find Andrew . So our group was called to go play, and guess what the person explaining the details was Andrew... he was very rude to the kids and yelling at them, YES YELLING AT THEM a few people got upset and left, I went to go get the manager, who did absolutely nothing. He needed to get fired for the way he screamed at those little kids ... you can tell all the staff there hated there job, no one working there was Happy!

Nice hidden place for some amusement

One of my friends actually hooked me into laser tag back in June 2009 and it was great exercise for my whole body and it was so fun! I even lost weight in the progress! Shadowland is my very first location I went to. Whenever I come during the school hours, I get to play one on one matches with friends and privacy from the parties. Lastly, if you had to go to the restroom during the game, the marshall will play for you until you get back.

The best part of this are the small moving easily disoriented children. They make for great target practice while I pretend to be a starship trooper. ProTip: if you get the pack that doesnt work quite right, keep it to yourself. no one believes you when you complain about it, you only make yourself look worse.

Awesome! Love playing laser tag here. I only wish the lights could be turned down a little and the fog turned up a bit, to make the laser tag battle more challenging. Im hoping if I wear a garbage bag over my laser tag vest, incoming shots will be deflected; also wondering how else to hack th game, possibley by covering with caps the lights on my laser tag gun. Awesoem for birthdays and other parties as well!I wish their Pentaplay games were not on Sundays as I cant play laser tag then.

I live 1 minute away from here on the eaves apartments on clopper road, but now Quince Orchard Boulevard. The first time I came here was 2010, and OMG everything in there was hilarious. My best friend loves the place alot and we always come here like every summer to come participate in the activities for this.

Fun maps and game types but could be a little bit more clean

Shadowland is never a disappointment, its by far the best laser tag venue Ive been to. Theres always a combination of age groups in games unless you rent out the place, but believe me the 13 year olds tend to beat the older kids and kids at heart. The food at shadowland seems not worth it and with many other options in the area Ive never had to try it.Anticipate playing at least 2 games - I think its the perfect number. Youll probably get sweaty if youre doing it right, dont expect to just stand around.I most recently went here with a group of coworkers and we had a great time (ages ranging 22-30)!Laser tag at shadowland includes power ups gained by spending points earned with hits as well as a variety of games ranging from a team slayer, capture the flag, and dark thief (may not be their names for game type but its essentially what they are).
